I think I need to go back to work to rest. Steve was out early to drop off the propane bottles. Any excuse to drive the Terex. Then we decided the Terex was too small to carry to carry the laundry because of the chest in the back. So we again went in the truck to the laundry where I promptly startedc4 loads of clothes. By noon I was finished with the laundry and called for a pick up. Steve came and got me. We decided to drop off the laundry and go fuel up and then go to the grocery store in Oakhurst. Back to the house to put away the groceries, eat lunch, make the bed, put laundry away, and get ready for the Halloween party. I wore a mask and Steve put on Devil's horns and tails.
It was an OK party at the clubhouse . It was not spooktacular. I made Snickerdoodle Cheesecake bars which seem to go over well as two people asked for the recipe.
I didn't care for most of the dishes or casseroles so there wasn't much on my plate.
We came back home by 6:30. Showered and watched TV for the rest of the night. Tomorrow we head for Black oak and the Grand Design Rally.
We are moved into the shed at 314. We will likely stay there for awhile.

Winter or fall I should say has finally come to Coarsegold. Day was much milder and the nights are finally chilly. I think I am going to gave to break out the heavy pj's.
We got up at a decent hour. Walked the dogs ,had breakfast and morning chores. We took a load of stuff to the other shed. Of course we couldn't just drop it off. Steve was doing some nesting. Everything had to be put in its place just so. Anyway I could tell he was having some fun so I tried to be patient. We met a neighbor Bob and Sherry from Squim WA. They play the piano and sing at old folks homes. Back home for lunch. Steve decided to take a ride to the office and we visited the dog park. Then I came back and made the dessert for tomorrow night's party. At 5 we went out to sit outside. Sherry saw me and asked if I wanted to walk. As I request yesterday to join them of course I had to say yes. We really didb't walk that far but I was pooped. After cooling down I warmed up some left overs for dinner. Dishes and TV for the rest of the night.

Yeah we are back home! So good to be home. We got up early at the crack of dawn again. Steve sets his shower stuff out so he won't disturb me then he comes in turns on the lights and gets the dogs. So I figured I might as well get up. We got dressed and put the rest of the bags in the cab of the truck. At 8:30 we set out for Beef and Brew and breakfast with Pittman's. They were waiting for us. While were waiting for breakfast who should walk in but the Gundelachs.
They were waiting for another couple but they were able to visit for a few minutes. Great breakfast and I had the same thing as I had the last time.
We were back at the yellow house by ten a.m.,,grabbed the puppies and we were off.
We took 49 all the way to Oakhurst where we caught Hwy 41. We pulled in about 2:30.
So good to be home. Love Nikki and the kids to death but there are some things that drive me nuts. Glad we all live in separate homes. We ended up buying her some bowls. I was planning on giving her my China but they way things are taken care of there I just can't do it. I understand where she is coming from those things just aren't important to her. Still frustrating for us old folks.
We got some good news on the way into the park and it couldn't have come at a better time. They offered us site 314. And they let us unload stuff we has in the truck directly into the shed at 314 which I even better than the one we have. It is finished on the inside with drywall and a workbench.. it has lots on both side. So we unloaded the Terex and parked the trailer in storage. Then we unloaded the bed of the trailer into the 314 shed. Then came back to the trailer and unloaded everything else in the truck and out away everything.
We took a break and did a tour of the park in the Terex. Basically Steve wanted to show off the Terex. Stopped and chatted with Kent Russell in 549. That is a real nice site but it cost them a couple of thousand extra for all the landscaping extras.
Back to the house to continue putting things away and dinner. TV for the rest of the night. Have to catch up in all the shows we missed last week. Need to free up some space on the DVR.
314 is a much nicer spot, more private, wider and much easier to Steve to back in. It came at a very good time. We are here to move and when we drive out of the park on Thursday we leave 237 and when we come back in a week we drive right into 314!.

Tonight is the last night. Headed back home tomorrow after breakfast with Lindy and Bill. Today was rather fun I spite of all the hub bub. Got up about 7 am. I decided to have a small bowl of cereal to ride me over since I didn't have a midnight snack of left over Chinese food like Steve did. Dressed and then Nikki and I ran over to Walmart to pick up some last minute items. Saw Tom and Glenda over there. He is really getting on my nerves.
Come back and put the casserole in the oven and we started to put the brunch together. Becky brought fruit, and Stephanie brought a French toast casserole.
They carved pumpkins and we voted on the Best. Then every body took off. We actually got to visit with everyone for a few minutes.
Nikki also hit the road about 2:30 or 3 PM. God forbid she has out at the house with us. She tried to leave the kids with us but we took care of the dogs. According to Steve she rarely gets a chance to have some time for herself. Right.
We finished loading and securing the back of the truck and hitched up the trailer . We are ready to rock and roll in the morning right after breakfast.
We had a Subway about 5 and then Doug and Karen came over. They are doing side jobs to supplement their income as Doug's income has be drastically reduced. He works on commission only. They left and Nikki arrived about 6:30. She brought in a boat load of stuff from Costco.
We finished watching the last game of the World Series Boston Red Socks won.
We are both worn out and ready to be on our way.

God I will be so glad when this visit is over. I am sick of constantly working. Steve has been on his phone almost all day answering questions about the items for sale. We had a couple of people come by and pick up a few of the items. Then we headed over to Roseville to Big Five where we both got new tennis shoes. They are not as comfortable as the ones I have but the will be fine. I could only wear them a little while. They need to soften up. Then we headed over to Harbor. Freight . We grabbed a quick bite at Subway. Back up the hill since Steve had someone coming to pick up more stuff. We got rid of the steps for the patio which really surprised me. I got the laundry started and went to Walmart. It was nice shopping without worrying about getting in and out because Steve was sitting out in the truck. Came back and folded two loads of Nikki's and the kids clothes. Last time I do that. Made the casserole for tomorrow's brunch, cooked and ate dinner, folded an put away our clothes, walked the dogs and took a shower. Nikki asked her Dad if we would babysit so ske could go to a party. That really pisses me off cause guess who does the babysitting and it is not Steve.
To me that is really being sneaky. Fortunately they are in bed and don't require much tending to. The kids complain about never seeing us but when we are around they can't even spend a fucking evening with us. Can't wait to leave this place. I hope we don't have to stay at the house again. The bath tub is black from washing the dog. It us absolutely disgusting. If we ever move back in here we will have to pull the tub out and put in a walk in shower.

This getting up at 6:30 has to end. Whrmen Bella the dog gets up so do my dogs. I did sleep throughout the night without getting up to go potty. I must have been very tired.
Once we were up we headed outside to put up more things for sale. I pulled some things out of storage while Steve painted the boards in the trailer. We sold the exercise bike and the generator and listed several other things.
About noon we quit for lunch and after lunch I went to Safeway to pick up some things I needed for Sunday's breakfast casserole. I was also jonesing for some ice cream. I took a plastic spoon with me and rather than going to Baskin and Robbins I bought a pint of Ben and Jerry's ice and when I finished shopping I sat out in the parking lot and devoured the whole thing. No more for a long awhile.
Back home to do a few more chores then a short nap.
We decided to have Chinese for dinner and so we went to Cameron Park to China City for dinner. We had really tough sesame chicken.
Back home for TV and reading. Nikki and the kids came home about 9:30 so she sat and watched game shows with us for a couple of hours.

Wow we need to head home for a rest. Steve washed all three vehicles and the trailer for the terex. People came to look at our items for sale. We sold the ice chest to the man who came to pump the septic. I went through the stuff in the storage shed and got rid of a lot of clothes. I did not realize how many pairs of pj's I had. I think there was something like 15 pairs of pj's. That was just the tip of the iceberg. We each picked a few things that we wanted to take back to Coarsegold.
We had lunch and then I decided to inventory everything I wanted to take to hospice. What a job and of course I was right in the sun when I was doing it. I am still marveling about how much stuff there was to take and that was only a few bags of clothes.
I loaded up the Terex twice when I brought it up to the front to load the car.
Then off to Safeway to pick up some salad and fruit to go with our pasta dish.
When I got back from there I put dinner in the oven. Once we ate I cleaned up the kitchen and we went over to Glenda's for Mexican Train.
Poor Glenda is in a lot of pain with her back and legs and there isn't much they can do for her. I wish I could like Tom more. He just rubs me the wrong way. He came alive after the Dominoes game showing us some card games. He us not doing well. He has irritable bowel syndrome I think. He must have gone to the bathroom 6 or 7 times while we were playing.
Then back to the house for shower and bed. Steve has been sleeping on the couch since the bed is so hard. Can't wait to sleep in my own bed again.

Another busy day on Acorn Hill Road. Steve decided to fast just in case the doctor wanted to do another fasting blood test. So I did as well as we planned to go out for breakfast after the appointment.
I was really nervous because I knew I gained some weight. I was sure my blood pressure was elevated. They took us in together . I only gained 4 lbs don't how much Steve weighed as we nmbith had secret weigh ins. Blood pressure woman great for both of us. Then the doc came in and recommended we both lose weight which was a given. Steve was required to take another fasting blood draw to check his A1c whatever that was. I think he got the message about losing weight. Then she wanted him to do an ultrasound to check on his aortic blood vessel in his lower abdomen. We had to wait another 2 hours and continue fasting. Oh and they wanted to check his help C. Steve was not happy to hear that I wanted lunch when he had to wait to have his food.
We decided to run to the credit union onMadison Ave. The he grudgingly took me to Subway while he and the dogs sat in the car. I was starving. So then back to Kaiser for the ultrasound. After which we high tailed to Cameron Park so he could stop at Subway. We then headed home.
Once we got home we drug stuff out of the storage shed so we could take pics of it to put on the exchange and sell. It didn't take long for the inquiries to start.
At 4:30 after a nap and feeding of the dogs we went over to Sizzler to have dinner with Glenda. Tom was't up to par so we decided to play game on Thursday instead.
We came home and Steve spent an hour responding to messages from people who were interes'ted in our sale items.
Then TV and reading and bed . 3 nights, 4 to go and the we can go home. We can stop living out of a bag.

We were very busy today. We set off early to Roseville and the dentist.we both had our teeth cleaned and I had two fillings . Then we picked up a few things at the Walmart near Larry on Antelope road. Then we went to see Larry. When we arrived Larry was meeting with his in home care giver. We waited until he left to go in about 45 minutes. We visited with them about an hour or more. Steve and I thought that he looked pretty spry for all that he has been through. He looked a little frail but otherwise he was alert and engaged.
Once we left there we ducked into JimBoys for lunch. I have forgotten just how good and greasy their food is.
Dad called to say the due to finances he won't be able to make it down in November to get the car. Maybe December or January. I assured him that was OK.
The we hot footed it over to Costco to pick up a few items. Then the grocery store for the final few items.
Once we got home I hung out with the girls while Steve worked on the Terex.
At six we went back down the hill to the Spaghetti Factory for Stephanie's 34th Birthday. Everyone from our family was there and we had a grand time.
Back up the hill for winding down and kicking back.
Steve spent the night on the couch and I slept in the rock hard bed which has no mattress pad.
We have doctor appointments tomorrow. We are both anticipating scoldings about our weight and Steve's sugar level. Not much we can do about it now.

We are back at the yellow house. We left about 8 am and stopped at Body by Boyd's to get a paint match. Then we tried to get breakfast at McDonald's in Oakhurst but they were very crowded and Mr. Patience didn't want to wait in line. So we set off on Hwy 49 and found a Burger King in Mariposa for a quick breakfast. We continued on out Merry way stopping at a couple of places for potty breaks. Road was pretty twisty and turned so we decided not to go that way when we go to Sonora.
When we got to Sonora we decided to go to Black Oak Casino to check it out before the rally. We turned around in the parking lot. I wanted to see what the RV parking lot looked like which was the purpose of going out of our way. But the master had other plans.
We thought about having lunch in Jackson but decided to wait till we got to The Dead Fly diner in Plymouth. It was closed so we ended up having a great sandwich at Gularte's in Placerville.
Then back to the house. Steve took care of a few things like calling ADT, getting a new battery for the Terex and a couple of other things that could not be put off.
We went next door and visited with Karen and Doug. Then met Nikki and the girls for dinner at Tom's. Tom sold the place and it just isn't the same. Won't go back most likely.
Our routine is definitely off kilter. Sleeping in Annibelle's bed us going to be interesting. We will see who survives the night.

We were up way too early to get to get to the hitch up breakfast. We had sausage and gravy with biscuits and scrambled eggs. Did another stint of washing dishes. Glad I am done with that. I think I will have to find another way to volunteer other wise I am going to have dishpan hands even with gloves on.
Steve came and got me as I just couldn't climb the hill one more time. We let the dogs run at the dog park. Then back to the rig.
Steve carved til 2:15 when we drove to the club house for the ice cream social.
We were back to the rig by three. Then more TV and some packing for next week's trip without the rig.
Dinner dishes and TV for the balance of the night.
Not looking forward to a week without the rig and I am worried about the sleeping arrangements. Annibelle's bed puts me against the wall. We will have to see how it plays out.

Wow another busy day in the park. We hoofed it down to the clubhouse by house around nine. We shopped around at the craft fair. I tried to buy a patriotic denim shirt but it was too big. The lady thinks she might have a large one but I haven't heard from her yet. Then we got some hand crafted coasters that are made from the wood in the park.
Then we goofed it back up the hill and walked the dogs and headed back to the clubhouse for Taco lunch which sucked. Then I washed dishes again which took about 70 minutes in the kitchen. It seemed more of a job then last night but we finally finished up and walked back up the hill. Then we grabbed some chairs and headed over to the pole barn for the digging up of the time capsule at the pole barn. Unfortunately water got into the capsule and ruined most of the contents which mostly consisted of newspapers and other paper items from 2008. Apparently they dig up and replace the capsule every 10 years.
We left there and walked back to the rig and collapsed.
Then we took down the dog pen and watched some TV. The Steve carved while I snoozed and read. Then dinner and put more stuff in the shed .
Warmed up some leftovers for dinner and decided to chill in front of the TV for the rest of the night.

Another great day in the Park and the weather was good to go along with it. We got up at the normal time and after breakfast we made our way down to the clubhouse to the Volunteer Fair. We stopped on our way down the hill to chat with the Ely's then finished our trek down the hill. We hung around and chatted with various different interest groups. And put tickets into the door prize raffle which of course we didn't win. The door prizes were $50 gift cards to Von's and Grocery outlet.
We made our way back up the hill via cardiac Hill. Walked the dogs and had lunch. We hung out at the trailer until Steve decided to call Don Evan's who gave him a cover for his motorcycle. I called the power company in Arizona to get the service started while we are in Casa Grande. He and Steve are both yakkers extremely. Then back to the rig for a quick shower and feed and walk the dogs.
Back down the hill for the annual dinner. We had cucumber and tomatoes marinate. Then they made giant pretzels with a cheese dip. They were hot out of the oven. A little salty for my taste. Then the main course was brats which were great. They were embedded in sauerkraut which I didn't eat there was fried cabbage which was red and I didn't eat that either. Also there was hit German potato salad which I ate but it was not great. Then there was German chocolate cake which I tasted but was not great enough to waste the calories on. So I basically filled up on Pretzels and brat. We dined with Phyllis and Cal Schoenberg in 208 who we sat next to at the Tuesday night supper Club. Then there was Randy and Ricky Maulder from 119 who insisted we dine with them and the Dick and Lynn Nolan. The Maulders are in the witness protection program and have other names. Dick and Lynn Nolan are in the disaster preparedness program.
After dinner I washed all the pots and pans which at some point seemed endless. We then listened to some German music and polka. Steve was anxious to leave as that wasn't his style of music. We walked back up the hill via Robin's Run to Mountain View to Winding way. We sat outside to cool down then came in the house to watch Last Man Standing. Then I colored while Steve watched boxing.

We had our annual meeting at the park today. It was very similar to a regular meeting except that there was an election of board members and some important and divisive measures which we voted on and found out the results of our vote. Most of the people we voted on didn't make it.
Starting with a continental breakfast of juice and muffins and large quantities of fresh fruit . Only drawback was I had to get up at 7 a.m. we walked down to the meeting but fortunately Dean and Judy Sailors in site 334 took pity on us and gave us a ride in their cart. After the meeting they gave deli sandwiches which ok but they had a recall on the mayo which made the sandwiches kind of dry.
We got back to the rig and immediately took the pups for a walk.
Since we decided to have dinner at China Delight we decided to explore some of the nearby lakes. First we went to Eastman Lake. It was near Raymond. Unfortunately it required you to walk into the Lake. We drove right by it. Then we took another road and went to Hensley Lake which was nearly dried up. The we took the long way into Oakhurst and had a great Chinese dinner at China Delight.
Back to the rig to walk the dogs and begin to wind down from the busy day.

What a busy day today was . Up a little bit earlier than normal. Was up and walking the dogs by 8:15. We ran into Steve riding a big machine. The breakfast and morning chores. I made the spaghetti sauce for tonight's dinner and dusted a little. Steve came home shortly before 11a.m. We ate lunch and decided to take a walk to the clubhouse to check out the laundry which was not to busy despite being closed for several days as they were working on the boiler. Steve took the dogs to the dog park while I was checking on the mail. We decided to go back to the rig and grab the laundry and get that out of the way.
Stephanie called to try and set up a time for the get together. Steve was worried about missing football and wanted to change plans again so that he would not miss any game. No more NFL ticket for him. He does this all the time he puts me on the phone and then tries to talk to me while I am on the phone. Why give me the phone at all. Steve is a control freak extraordinaire. Unbelievable!
Anyway 3 hours later 5 loads of laundry were washed, dried and folded. Brought everything back to the rig and put it away.
Walked the dogs, made dinner. Then took the dogs for another walk so Hazel could poop. Dishes and then it was time for TV and relaxation.
Ready to go to the annual meeting and lunch.
Steve was in bed by 9:30. Three days of hard work has done him in. Guess he isn't used to it. Getting back into the walking groove.
Glenda called to say that Larry isn't doing well. We will visit him while we are at Acorn Hill.

Well we are getting into the routine of things here. Steve got up and went to work. They will be on winter hours starting on Monday which means they start at 8 instead of Monday and work until 11. Steve worked until 11:20 today. He was reroofing a shed today. He seems to like the camaraderie of the maintenance crew.
I got up at 8:30 ish and walked the dogs. The breakfast and morning chores. Then I sprinkled some stuff on the bedroom closet and vacuumed it up. Smells fresher in there. Then I finished the dogs sweaters.they came out quite well if I do say so myself. The dogs look very fetching in them. I made 2 lightweight ones and I heavier one for each pup. The will be well dressed in the parks.
We lunched and did a few chores around the rig which included another walk for the dogs. About 2:30 we hopped in the truck and drove the pups to their dental evaluations. As it turns out the pups have both lost about a pound but Sophie sure seems like skin and bones. Their heart is good no noticeable murmurs. The coat for cleaning is about the same as Betsy so we will schedule something while we are in Placerville. Then we headed over to Pop's where the Tuesday night supper club meets. I don't think we will go to there again. I would go to Me and Ed's before I go back to Pop's. They serve beets as a side on almost all their entrees. What were the thinking. Then back to the rig. Back to coloring and TV.

Not a lot to report. Steve got up early to report to duty on the maintenance crew. I got up about 8:30 and walked the dogs. By the time I had breakfast and did the morning chores it was time for Steve to come home from"work" which he did.
I did some sewing on the dogs sweaters and finally finished them all except for the hole where the leash goes.
We ate lunch the went to town to interview the vet about getting the dogs teeth cleaned at Oakhurst Veterinary. We have an appointment tomorrow to have a dental evaluation for the pups. Then we picked up some drinks at the store. We stopped a few places along the way but were home by 2:30 ish to continue my sewing project. Dinner was a hoagie and cottage cheese and pineapple..
We watched Aaron Roger's beat the niners in a really close game.
Shower, dancing with the stars and bed.

We had a very laid back kind of day. It started out slow. I got up about 8 :15 and made waffles and sausage for and the same for Steve plus 2 fried eggs. Cleaned up the mess and we hung out here at the trailer. Steve worked on his carving and I worked on sweaters for the dogs and read my book. At 2 we drove down to the clubhouse for the ice cream social. We sat with the Elys and Pat and Ray in #207 which is just around the corner from us. Then we took the dogs to the dog park and came home. Steve watched football and I did some more sewing. I finished another book Texas Ranger by James Patterson. It was okay nothing to write home about.
Dinner then more TV and sewing.
The park was pretty quiet today. Steve goes to work in the morning if you could call that work. The neighbor
Steve was sitting on his patio this morning when I walked the dogs was playing or strumming his guitar.

We have had great weather so far. Up a bit later this morning. Breakfast and chores. We decided to take a short jaunt into town. We tried to find the Community Park which we did. It was October Festival. There was a craft faire where some of the people from the park had booths. We decided not to stop. We did stop at a local fly shop,, a wood carvers and the local fruit and produce stand. The fire here really affected the town's fiscal health. The closure of Yosmite Park affected the tourism revenue. We then went to Bass lake to check it out. Beautiful little lake. After a potty break in the national forest we stopped at Raley's for a few necessities.
Back to the rig. Fixed lunch, read some.
Cut the ribbing for the dog's sweaters. Walked the dogs a couple of times. Prepared the chicken enchiladas. Fixed the rest of the dinner.
One thing I did forget to mention was Steve 2 doors down retired from Frontier Dental Labs where Nikki currently works. I think he said he was there for 7 years.

Another day dawned sunny and bright. Another beautiful day in Park Sierra. Up around 7:30 and had breakfast. I walked the dogs. Then Steve and I watched a taped interview with all the candidates for Board members. It's all very confusing. Then Steve decided to take the motorcycle to Bass Lake to check it out. So I fixed him lunch and he took off. While he was gone i worked on the dog's sweaters. I wanted to cut the ribbing but I could not get the cutting board down.
I finally finished the book I was reading. It was so tense I could only read a chapter then I had to put it down for awhile and then I would read another chapter.
Steve came back and decided to carve for awhile. Steve donated some leaves to the neighbor for erosion control. That prevented him having to get a cart and trailer and taking them down to the creek.
The dogs enjoyed their pen foe awhile. Then we decided to take a walk and ended up at the dog park. We trudged up Stone Hollow.
When we got back it was time to cook the pigs in a blanket and walk down to the clubhouse for the potluck.
We had a nice visit and net some new people. We decided to stay and play darts of all things. I have never played before but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
We played three games. Then Steve the neighbor and Sherry gave us a ride home. Then back to normal night time activities .

When I got up at I got up at 7:30 ,Steve had already left for his first day on the maintenance crew. I guess the full in a few holes but mostly it was time for the men to b.s. with each other.
It was chilly out when I got up so I turned on the heater and got ready to take the dogs out. Breakfast and a few other chores but by 10 a.m. Steve was back and ensconced in the easy chair. I guess the work wasn't too difficult. Their schedule started with coffee and donuts and b.s. about 8:30 they were on the move until 9 when the move the coffer and cookies over to the clubhouse. About 9:30 ten then they go out and finish up their chores. The guy Steve was working with had to be back by 10 so Steve came back early. Oh and they only do this 4 days a week.
The rest of the day we hung out around the rig. We had an appointment to get indoctrinated in the ways of the club with Gerrie Waggoner # 243 at the clubhouse. We inadvertently got involved with a Sierra Oaks meeting. Sierra Oaks is the Park's social club.
We walked back and I decided to cut out the dogs new sweaters.
We had dinner of tacos. Washed dishes and I took a shower while Steve watched the game. Reading a good book called the The Winner by David Baldacci . It is one of his earlier books still a page Turner. Just when you think you have it all figured out it takes another unexpected turn.
It is getting darker earlier and earlier.

Another beautiful day in Park Sierra. We were up an out the door around 9. Our first stop was the pole barn. Steve did some schmoozing. Met our neighbor Steve who is Sherry's husband 2 doors down. We later learned that they and their dogs only eat natural foods. Then we went and got gas at the Chukcanci Travel center. Steve realized that he left his wallet at home for at least the third time. So we doubled back to the rig to pick up his wallet. The we were off again to Oakhurst to get an estimate on the truck at Body by Boyd's. We had a hard time finding it but once we did it didn't take long to get it done.
I did some shopping at Raley's. That is where I will shop when we are here. It is by far the better market with much more variety and the at least keep their shelves stocked.
Steve then went to the True Value store for a take and a scoop shovel.
We decided to have lunch at the wild pig in Coarsegold. We thought it was most likely a BBQ place. It turned out to be the Wild Fig so we went across the way to Robert's Frosty. I had a BLAT. I thought it was pretty good. We found out that the Farmers market is held at the True Value on Thursdays in Oakhurst.
Then back to the rig. I decided to bake cookies. White chocolate Macadamia cookies.
I walked the dogs and I stopped to chat with John and Barbara Ely.
We had left over tri-tip which Steve warned up on the BBQ. I Didn't really care for it. Kind of dry. It wasn't a very good cut of meat to start with. We had sheila's applesauce and it was outstanding.
The we sat out by the fireplace for quite awhile.

Well we had a very interesting day. Up as usual. Steve spent the morning dealing with auto insurance and the fender bender in Hopland. The other driver's insurance was much easier to deal with than ours. The claim was approved immediately and we found a place in Oakhurst that can do the work.
About 10:30 Steve took off on the motorcycle. I mopped all the floors I could find. Polished the cabinets in the forward bathroom. Sat outside with the dogs. Was planning on sewing but could not find the material I bought for the project.
Ended up walking the dogs and reading. While I was reading I noticed the back screen was wide open. I panicked. I looked outside and there was little Miss Sophie in the street. I chased her across the street. She finally stopped. I grabbed her up and walked her back to the house.
Steve walked in about 2:30 . At three we took off for Oakhurst and Me and Ed's pizza. We had some great calzones. Then over to Vons for grocery shopping. Small store and limited inventory. Back to the rig. Steve brought the groceries in while I was walking the dogs. Guess I don't do enough work around here as Steve feels he does it all. After putting away the groceries we splurged on ice cream and went to our separate rooms to watch TV.

Our first day at Park Sierra was great. We got up and did our morning chores and had breakfast. The drove down to the clubhouse to notify them that we decided to keep our spot at 237. We let the dogs run at the dog park. And they did us proud in the dog park. They remembered the dog park and where it was.
We came back to the rig and I decided to defrost the refrigerator. What an ordeal. I think we were able to fix the problem of the water collecting in the meat drawer which makes me very happy. Something to do with the drain hose not being attached to the drip pan and there was a plug in the hose that shouldn't be there.
We continued to put things away and get a few more things set up. Steve is thrilled to have his "shop". Anyway we met a new neighbor Sherry two doors down who lived in Cameron park at one time. She had a t-shirt from In Shape Gym.
We BBQ ed chicken on the new BBQ. It turned out very good. We sat out in front of the rig in afternoon after setting up the dog pen. Hazel was thrilled, Sophie not so much.
After dinner it was the usual TV coloring and later it will be reading.

We finally made it to Coarsegold and our spot there. We decided not to fully set up till we decided which spot we wanted. 237 or 430. After we unhooked we checked to see if we could get satelite which we could. We already met several of the neighbors. The guy right behind us didn't seem too friendly. We took the truck to see 430 and decided we were fine where we were at for the time being. We did find a new spot to put on our wish list--236! Steve preferred the shed at 237 so that is where we will stay for now.
It is a beautiful day here with a slight breeze out.
We left a little later than we anticipated and we had to stop and dump. We meandered around the delta on backroads. We took south shingle to Latrobe road to old Sacramento to Hwy 16 to Ione Road (first time for me), to 104 to Hwy 88 . Thru Lockford to Hwy 99. Then straight down 99 to Madera where we turned east to 145 the 41 to Coarsegold. We traveled about 222 miles.
We pulled into the park about 2 or 2:15. We took the bike out and Steve went to check out the spots. We had a little difficulty backing in but finally made to a satisfactory position.

We did a hard day of labor. After breakfast and chores we headed over to the yellow house. Steve and I moved the Terex and the trailer to the RV pad then took the Terex up to the front to change the oil.
We let Bella out to run. Hazel growled at her and Sophie ignored her for the most part. I can hardly bear to see that dog. She lives in a cell that is filthy. It is a crime that she spends hours and hours in that 6 ft kennel.
Meanwhile back at the laundry room I folded two loads of Nikki's clothes and washed and dried three of my and folded all of those.
While Steve was working on the Terex I grabbed the loppers and started lopping. In the front yard. I cut off suckers and pulled some tall weeds. Anyway I completely filled the green yard waste container.
I know now why I I like to be on the road. The yard work. Just as I thought I was finished Steve wanted me to do some more.
We then put the Terex back on the trailer, finished up the laundry and loaded up the truck and headed over to Safeway to top the gas tank and head back to the rig.
Steve took a shower and in his effort to lose weight in the two weeks before the doctors appointment and metabolize all the sugar he eats decided we would climb the hill and walk to Gorilla Rock taco right outside the park. We each had 3 gorilla tacos. They were very good . They were like Glenda's flour tortillas not heated. They had lots of filling including rice. Very good.
Walked back to the rig and walked the dogs. Then settled in for T V and winding down for bed.
I finished my book. A Jessie Black number 2 in the series. Not one of my favorites. Some things were a real stretch.
Tomorrow we head for Coarsegold to see our spot and decide which one we like better . Hopefully we can get satelite in one of the spaces or it is going to be a long two weeks.
When we gave the kids our fall schedule we were told the dates for Jim's court date was the 6th instead of the 16th. So we made reservations at Plymouth which I was really looking forward to but was going to cost us $200. Now she is saying the date is indeed the 16th. Now we have to see if we can cancel the reservation and get our money back. What an ordeal. At least I think there is time to cancel the reservation.

I hope this is the last day of visiting for awhile. Steve took off on his motorcycle about 7 am. I got up got ready and drove into to town and n
Met with Debbie Snodgrass at the Buttercup Cafe. Took me 35 minutes to drive into town. Debbie was waiting for me. I decided to take the dogs wit me after all.
Apparently not many showed for the breakfast on Steve's end.
After breakfasting with Debbie I ran a few errands before returning to the rig. Steve was already at the rig. We put the curtains up in the back. I feel so much better with the curtains up.
After putting away all the things Steve drug out of the rig we decided to go to the yellow house.
Steve put the new door on the washer/dryer. He started charging the Kawasaki terex. And we started gathering things that we will to take with us. We let Bella out of her jail cell for awhile.
Steve did a few wood working chores and then we met Glenda and Tom for dinner at the Buttercup.
Got gas and back to the rig for the usual activities .
Steve had bad numbers on his fasting glucose test and my TSH scores went up for some reason. Steve needs to stop eating chips candy and cookies.
Guess we will see what the doctor has to say in a couple of weeks.
Nice day today no sign of rain. Looks clear for the next couple of weeks.

It was still raining when we got up this morning. We had to go to Folsom for blood work at Kaiser. We got our flu shots as well while we were there. The dog didn't want to poop this morning since it was raining so hard. Sophie finally did her thing at Kaiser. Hazel didn't do her job till we got to the yellow house. After we did our blood work we stopped at McDonald's in Cameron Park for a breakfast sandwich and a mocha. Then the yellow house to drop off the dogs. Steve stopped at Mike's Kawasaki to get oil for the Terex.
The we stopped at the Missouri Station to see Debbie Manke. She has been bugging us to get together for a couple of days. We told her we would let them know next time we were in town. Then she wanted us to stop and see her at the deli. She was even trying to bribe us with free a sandwiches. So we stopped in and of course she had stepped out to run an errand.
The we met Hal and Shirley Perry. Lunch at Casada's. Very good. The we walked over to the Hardware store and looked around. Took them over to the
House and showed them around. Then back to Mosquito road to their car.
Back to the house to get the dogs and crates. Walmart and finally back to the RV.
Then we were able to relax for awhile. Steve is making me nuts with his urge to control me. It seems like it okay for him to spend money on his toys but I have to account for every postcard or stamp. I see a long talk brewing. We have to resolve this urge in him for control.
Steve watched TV--big surprise there. He claimed he had so much work to do but he moved only from the couch to the bed. I took the dogs on a walk. Put away the groceries, made dinner washed the dishes and finally took the dogs out for a walk.

We got up super early as I told Steve that I would be ready to leave by 7:30 which we did. I followed him in the car over to the motorcycle repairman. Arrived arrived there by 8 a.m. We were leaving there about 8:15 after a stop at Idle wheels to exchange an item. We were going to get some oil for the Terex but the shop wasn't open yet so we headed over to Beef and Brew to sit and wait for every one. Fortunately the Pittman's were early. Lindy brought me a photo album with postcards that I had sent her
We had a great breakfast with the Pittman's and the Bryant's. We left there a little after 10 and of course Steve wanted to go get the motorcycle.
It had started to rain but fortunately not very hard. We drove it over to the
House hoping to leave it over there till the rain stopped. Unfortunately Nikki changed the locks because of Jared. So that was out.
We came back to the rig and hung out watched some TV and colored till it was time to go to Stephanie's. We arrived about 4 and sat and visited for about an hour. We hit quite a bit of rain in Folsom. There was thunder and Lightning. Rained so hard there for awhile we couldn't see out of the front window. I felt sorry for the people who had to drive home in the bad weather.
Met her new man Forest Hart. He seemed very nice. He is a Mormon. He has 6 kids. Working on his divorce. Lots of baggage. Is in construction. Lots of unasked questions.
Shortly after 5 p.m. we hopped in the car and followed Stephanie over to Sally's Gymnastics class. We sat and visited with them while Sally did her Gymnastics. Elijah and Sally are having some issues with poor grades while Gabe is doing really well.
Then we went to Ciceros off Prairie City for Pizza.
Last and finally we went to Walmart they were just about out of waters.
Then back home for a shower TV and coloring. Finally will take the dogs out and hit the hay. We have fasting blood work tomorrow. Yay.

Well I must of had a brain fart or a senior moment as I forgot to blog last night. So here I am doing a next day make up blog.
We got up and did all of our morning chores and breakfasted and were on our way out the door by 9. Steve was on the phone with one thing and another most of the morning before that dealing with insurance issues etc so we missed our 8:30 departure time. We had a couple of errands to do prior to being at Glenda's by 10 am. We visited with her and Tom for about an hour and a half. I may have mentioned to her that she could also communicate via telephone rather than just email. She seems good except for her back issues. We also spoke about rematching games before they get hijacked on words.
Then we went back to the rig to wait for Kim and Don. They got here way before one. Actually Kim and Don came by shortly after noon to meet us for lunch.
Once was over a missed parking spot. The second snit was over the time we were going to leave in the morning to drop off the Harley.
Seems like every break between visits Steve had a small hissy fit about something. Fortunately I was smart enough to let him wallow rather than engaging. So he didn't speak to me several times during the day. Usually it is over stupid shit.
After Kim and Don lunch which I might add was wonderful at the American River Grill in Cool. We admired their new car. We came back to relax and feed the dogs till it was time to go to the motorcycle meeting at 4:30 at the Break Room in Shingle Springs.
Marie and Jim were able to make the meeting after all along with Bob Russell, Mark Pittman, Diane Bergman, Joe Rendon(now with a nice hair cut ), Jim Ayers. Small crowd.
We came back to the rig after that to T V in out separate rooms. Coloring for me and phone for Steve...

We are back in the Placerville for a week. And I have my first cold sore and it hurts.
We got off on time from Russian River. Got up about 7:30 but still left at 9:00. Pulled up to dump and had wait about 25 minutes to get a turn to dump. Gave me an opportunity to walk the dogs again. Hazel still did not poop.
Finally we were on the road. Took hwy 20 to 5 and were at Ponderosa around 2:30 after having traveled about 190 miles. Surprisingly there were very few empty spots in the park. We are in E4 one spot over from where we were last time.. Called the Insurance company regarding the fender bender we had yesterday.
About 5 we went into town got gas, cash and dinner and then headed over to Nikki 's to pick up mail. The house looks very good and she is doing a great job with the house. I wish we had done some of those things while we were there.
No one seems to have enough time to visit or get together. They all new we were coming back but do they have an opening in their schedule.
Came back to open all the mail color and watch T V. We had ordered quite a few things so it was like opening Christmas packages.
