Well another fun and busy day. Last day of January. We took our walk at 9 as usual. Made Steve eggs for breakfast. Then home after the walk. Finished picking the fabrics for the snowman quilt. Then we took Lexie for a Teryx ride at lunch. We sat outside and happy hours fir a couple of hours. The Fords and us decided to go get mexican.
Annyas was closed. Senior Manuel's was booked so we ended up at Boston's. It was yummy. Then home for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
We went on our walk as usual. Steve walked a ways with us. Larry fell in the dog park and bumped his head. Betty seemed to be in a pissy mood all day. She was pretty quiet on the walk. We came home and sat out for awhile. I went home for a breather. Then over to Betty's off and on to work on the snowman. About 2 Colleen and Mike came over to sit outside. Sandy and Alan and finally Larry and Betty and Suzanne came over. We chatted til 5 then took the dogs on a Teryx ride to the dog park. Betty was very grumpy all day. Her knickers were definitely in a twist. Oh well this too shall Pass. We ate leftovers for dinner. Did dishes and were ready TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Well yet another busy day at Casa Grande. I got up early to walk. Steve slept in until 8:45 when I let the dogs wake home up. Today was laundry day. Sandy and I finished in record time. The Fords arrived just as we were finishing up. We did a Teryx ride and later visited with the Fords. Then at 5 we and the Fords dove to Chilis for dinner. It poured while we were in the restaurant and on the way home. Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. Fun day.
Up and out the door at 9 for our walk. Steve went to the dentist at 9 and had his new cap out on his tooth. We sat out for awhile. I went home to gather my thoughts and catch up on a few chores. Then over to Betty's to get some sewing done. Come home for a Teryx ride. Then home for a few more chores. Finally we left for Betty's belated Birthday dinner which we topped off with a stop at Dairy Queen. Home again and after grinding coffee brushing the dogs teeth it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
We were up and out of the house early about 9. Made a beeline to drop off the machine at Mulqueens. Then Steve and I headed to South Mountain where we stopped at Subway to pick up some sandwiches. Then we headed up South Mountain and Dobbins lookout. We could see the whole Phoenix metropolitan area. We found a place to sit and wat our sandwiches then shocked out Dobbins Lookout. We also checked out the nearby Mystery Castle. They were closed so we moved on. We headed over to Surprise to go to Costco and spent a lot of money. Finally we drove home arriving at 4ish. I put the groceries away and we took the dogs to the dog park. In the Teryx. Betty came over and chatted. Finally we had dinner and I did the clean up. At last it was time to have TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Still really cold here. We got up and did our walk. Then I quickly changed clothes and jumped in the car with Betty and went to Betty's hair appointment. Then a quick trip thru Fry's. Back home I put away the groceries and relaxee for the rest of the afternoon. I was planning on defrosting the refrigerator but Steve said it didn't really need it. Okay then. At 4 we left for dinner. Sandy and Alan were able to make it. Then home for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Hazel seems to be improving. Hopefully we will be able to cancel the upcoming cet appointment.
Stormy and cold today. We went on our normal walk after I spent a half an hour trying to get an appointment for Hazel. Still haven't gotten anything yet. Right now it's set for Thursday in the Valley. It was cold on our walk. Betty pooped out. I think she was hung over from all the fireball she drank the day before. I piddled around the house doing some sewing chores. Then over to Suzanne's for coloring. I decided to make comfort food tonight which turned into chicken roll ups. It was yummy. A walk to the dog park and dishes. Finally TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Odd day filled with cold, hail, rain and sun. Hazel continues to be bothered by her bottom and Sophie didn't poop much today. I got up late as Betty and Larry decided not to go for breakfast but walk instead. Very strange. I I piddled around here which included making french toast for breakfast with the heels of bread which did not go over well with the master. Went to Betty's at 11 and watched the packers loose. Came back about 2 and worked the rest of the day. Betty was busy taking fireball shots. We had dinner about 6 then dishes. Finally cuddle time with the dogs.
Fun day. Rather laid back since Betty is still on the mend. We shortened the walk since Betty is still recuperating. We came home and did a few chores. Then I got started putting the binding on the quilt. We had lunch. We made plans with Sandy to do Chinese takeout. More sewing. Teryx ride and a visit with Betty. I finished the book I was reading. The takeout came. Finally it was time to chill out with the dogs. Prepared for the oncoming rain
Well Betty's Birthday did not go as planned. Steve and I slept in but we did walk. Steve cut off early as usual but I did 2.37 miles. Then Betty decided she was cured and was ready for pizza for dinner. We all decided to let her get the cure for a few more day. Suzanne and Sandy decided they were going to see our friend JoAnn. Stopped at Fry's . Once I was home I went and got my machine and actually did some sewing. With Betty feeling better I am back to feeling stress. Alan and Steve went to get propane and some stuff to repair Alan's trailer. We took a Teryx ride. Finished my block and am ready to sew on the binding on my quilt. Finally dinner and dishes. Hazel has been acting really weird. Think it's her annual Glenda.
Well there is a bump in the road. Betty came down with something awful. She has been sick to her stomach since last night. Hopefully it is a bug or food poisoning. Not Covid. So we did not walk today. Steve and I had a leisurely breakfast. Then I got the clothes ready and Sandy and I made our way over to the laundry . I did three loads and Sandy did 4. I did a couple of crosswords. We came home and I hung out awhile. Then we went to the food truck . We got a late lunch. I had a quesadilla with shredded beef and Steve had street tacos. Then we split a fry bread with Strawberries and cream. I got some reading done. I got the binding cut for the quilt I picked up Wednesday. Took the dogs for a walk. Made a stop at Sandy's and talked with them for awhile. We didn't need dinner. Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Love Betty to death but it felt good not to half to go over to her house. She really knows how to put the pressure on.
Betty and I had our first misunderstanding. We went on our normal walk of the day. We did our cool off. I came home since we were going to go get our quilts. There was a text from Sandy saying that Dave and Jean were coming for lunch. It was a clusterfuck. I wanted to go. So we hurried off to get the quilt and go to JoAnn's. Betty want me to spend every moment of every day with her. She was left texting Suzanne which wasn't right. We didn't play games. We ended going to lunch at Chilis. It was yummy. Once we got home I took my quilt over . It turned out really great. Then we all ended up at Betty's. We did a show and tell. They left and we talleyed up and shared our fabrics. Then I finally went home . We took a Teryx ride with a stop off at the dog park. A sat outside with Betty for awhile. Went in for dinner. Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Life is getting way too scattered.
Today was our Supper club . We were out early to walk as usual. Then we changed clothes and headed over to the Pinal County Health department to see if we could register for the Covid vaccine. No such luck. Then we hit Safeway. Back home to unload the groceries. Lunch and then sewing. Finally we headed out for dinner at Bostons. I had the chicken Cobb salad. Finally home for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Another fun day. We did our normal walk starting at 8:30. Betty and Larry left for their eye appointment as did Sandy and Alan. I came home an colored for awhile then we got ready for our toenail appointment. It was at 12:15. I was back in an hour and the girls were here coloring. Betty was just visiting since they dialated her eyes at the doc's. Steve's dentist appointment was at 4:15. We took all the dogs for a Teryx ride and a run to the dp. Then we were off to the dentist and Walmart. I had to run home and come back and get Steve when he was done. Alan borrowed the Teryx to take some clippings to the dumpster. Finally dinner and then TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Finally a day of rest. We slept in late while Betty and Larry walked to the Elks for breakfast. Then we had coffee and treated ourselves and the Clark's to breakfast at Bosa Donuts. They weren't up yet so we came home and had ours. I decided to finish reading my book so that I could get it back to the Library. I helped Steve for a while on the puzzle. Alan came over and worked with the puzzle. After I finished my book I went over to Betty's. I think she was upset that I didn't run right over there when she let me know they were back. Between Larry yelling about the game and Betty's snit and other distractions I decided I wanted to go home. We did walk the dogs. Then after the Chiefs squeaked by the gand all sat out. Guys at Betty's and girls here. We came back for dinner dishes and finally TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Fun day. We went on our regular walk but at a faster pace. Just about killed me but once we got going it was ok. The first mile is the hardest. Then I sewed with Betty. I am finally got the hand of this applique. Not to say I definitely need more practice. Lunch, Teryx ride with Lexie. Then more sewing. We all had a shot (fireball for Betty and Suzanne Sandy and I had ice soda) when GreenBay made a touchdown. They ended up winning. We BBQ'ed chicken finally. At 7 we did a zoom meeting with the kids. It was really cool. Dan grew a beard and looks very cool. We will di it again. Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Well I was up and at it early but Steve was not. I had to take the dogs and he made the bed. We didn't walk today but instead we were off to the grocery store. We walked up and down all the aisles. Really had to push the cart hard using only one hand just to get the steps in. Came home and unloaded the truck. Steve must have been engrossed in the puzzle since he couldn't help get them from the truck. We put the groceries away took a Teryx ride and had lunch. I visited Betty for a few minutes then came home. About three I got up and and made the corn muffins and Red Lobster biscuits. We ate early since everyone was back and ready to eat. Then we set up the table between Will and Robyn's trailer and had our beans and ham. It turned out really well. Steve had a small melt down. But it seems he has recouped.
Wow. Another busy day. Got up and out on our walk. Did our cool down. Steve left to get his root canal. I sewed at Betty's for about 4 hours. Steve out up a light under the happy Jack. Now that it benefits him things get done. I came home from sewing and we took a Teryx ride. We sat and talked to another Momentum owner down the street. We also extended here a month. We had eggs for dinner. Dishes and it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Good news I found out that we are staying here til March 24th. We are extending for a month. Steve's tooth was really bothering him this morning but he went to have the truck serviced like a trooper. He called the dentist but Dr. Weed had no room on his schedule so he went to Aspen dental. He needs a root canal. We did our usual walk at nine then I went to Betty's to meet with Betty and Sandy and discuss and evaluate all the fabric that we bought and order more. Then I went home and got lunch and I looked at Steve for awhile. At one I played Farkle with the girls. I won once Sandy twice. Steve went to his appointment for his tooth. He came back just before Betty and I went to our best friend JoAnn's. We came back . We went for a Teryx ride and took Lexie. Then we came back and sat outside for 45 minutes. We came inside and ate leftovers I for dinner. Finally after dishes it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Very busy day today. We walked three miles. It was mostly Betty and I. Alan and Steve went on an adventure together while Sandy and I did laundry. Betty came and saw us. Once we got home we had a couple of hours to chill. Then it was off to Senor Manuel. We all had a nice dinner. Then Steve took Suzanne and I to see Lake Varaga. It was a man made Lake toward the end of Pinal. Then it was home for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
It was a good day to start the week off. We did our normal walk. I came home right away. I hung out til it was time to go to Coloring. We had a fun time at Coloring. Then home and I fixed dinner bacon wrapped brats. They were pretty good. Will half to make them again. We took a Teryx ride to drop off the garbage. Dishes and then it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Today was a day of rest for me. There was no walking for me. We slept in late despite Steve's making noise. I did a few chores then about 11 I went over to Betty's. Things did not go well. I finally got it across to Betty that I did not like doing applique and it shows in my work. I stayed there til 2:30. Came home til almost 4. Sat with Betty and Larry til 5. Took The girls fir a Teryx ride. Fixed left over spaghetti for dinner. Did dishes and it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Well we did our normal walk even Steve came along. Alan and Sandy got their new oven and Steve was chomping at the bit to help Alan install it. So spent the day doing that while I worked at Betty's. Somehow the dogs were not traumatized while we were both away. About 4 we all sat out for happy hour. Then Sandy and Alan treated us to take out at the Big Wa. Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Today for whatever reason was very blah. We got up as usual to do our walk. Of course Steve had another excuse not to walk. Today he was going for a hair cut and wash the truck. We did our entire walk and were sitting in front of the Nances when he left. But he was back in time to leave for the Birthday party at Creative cafe. It was as wonderful as I always. When we got back we all went our separate ways for the afternoon. I decided to color. Betty must have sewed then gone to McMashers. Sandy washed her new quilt at Betty's. I colored. Later we took a Teryx ride. Then we sat out for awhile. Then we hung out around the TV , had a snack for dinner. Finally at 7 I went upstairs for TV and cuddles with the dogs. I am not sure why I have the blahs. I feel ok. Bored not sure what is going on. Time will tell.
Fun day. Did our normal daily walk. Steve went on a motorcycle ride. He met the gang at La Casa and was gone till about 3. After the cool down I did a few chores around the house. Then the dogs and I went over to Betty's. I cut more pieces. I came home so they could leave. Sandy and I walked to the mailbox then set out and chatted for an hour. Then home for dinner dishes and finally TV and cuddles with the dogs.
We got up early as usual to do our walk. We did our two miles. I came home to order and search for fabric. We are in an ordering mode. Betty wanted to run to JoAnn's so we did that. When we came home I worked on Sandy's Birthday towels. We ran some errands on the Teryx. Then the board of directors of the Tuesday Night Supper Club met . We made some important decisions then played Rumicube. It was fun but not my favorite. After our afternoon soiree I finished the towels. We BBQ'ed ribs for dinner. Then dishes and night time chores. Then it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Well Covid is growing fast in the park. 2 doors down. Larry says there are over 50 cases in the park. We were up early as Steve was planning a motorcycle ride. Betty and I planned some unsupervised shopping. First we hit JoAnn's. That took about an hour. Steve's ride was delayed due to a Dead battery. We were an hour at JoAnn's. Then we terrorized Walmart. We got back at around noon. Betty helped me get the groceries in and then I put them all away. I took the dogs for a walk . I was at the dog park. Then I went to Betty's to cut on the Snowman quilt. Back to the rig to get ready for the Supper club. We went early to get propane and we all met at Eva's for our Tuesday meeting. Back home for dishes and finally settled on the bed for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
I think the motorcycle ride mellows Steve out a little bit. He seems like he's in a pretty good mood.
Another day in the park. We were out walking early because Sandy and I were scheduled for haircuts at 10. We dropped off early and prepared to jump in the truck and off to Shelly for hair cuts. She really scalped me in one place. I dove our truck . Came home for lunch. Then we decided to color in our yard where all the sun was. Steve having worked on the puzzle most of the day came out about 2:30 and took the puppies to the dog park. After coloring Betty and I decided to walk the dogs for about a mile and a half. Then it was time to fix dinner do dishes and have TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Well we had another wonderful day at the park. We got up leisurely and Steve and I had breakfast at IHOP. Not very pleased with breakfast. Then a quick trip to Safeway. Just as I finished putting the groceries away Betty texted me to walk which I did. After that we worked on the snowman quilt. I am doing alot of cutting and Betty has moved onto sewing. Around 2 we had a sausage and cheese snack. At three we grabbed Sandy for a walk to the dog park. We took a short walk then sat out in front till 4:30. The in the house to chill until dinner. We finally BBQ'ed hamburgers which were terrible. Then dishes and it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Today was a madcap day. We did our normal walk. I did about a three mile walk and over 10k in steps! Rushed home to get the laundry ready do dishes and and change clothes. Then over to Betty's to work on the snowman quilt. Ran home for a quick lunch. Then I grabbed Sandy and the clothes and off we went to the laundry mat. Despite the large number machines that were not working we were able to get the laundry done in 2 5 hours. Then I rushed home and unloaded the clothes and threw the little smokies in the oven which took about 45 minutes. Then we happy hours at Betty's until 5ish. Steve helped me make the bed and put clean sheets on the bed. We snacked for dinner since Steve was too involved with his puzzles to BBQ the hamburgers. Finally it was time to watch TV and have cuddles with the dogs.
Happy New Year. Hopefully this year will be better health wise than last year. We got up and did our walk as usual. Steve walked part of the way. Back home and we cooled off. Then we got ready for our New Year pot luck dinner. The gals got together and played 5 crowns . We finished up cooking while we played cards. We had a wonderful meal sitting outside. Once dinner was done we played another round of cards and talked about material. Then back to the house for TV time and cuddles with the dogs.
