April 30, 2021 Will Rogers Memorial Museum, Claremore OK

 We got up early and were on. The road by 8:30.  We took Hwy 35 out of Ardmore to 40 to 69 and made our way to the museum.  We drove about 250 miles +/-.  Hard to tell as we tried to avoid the toll roads. We got here about 2:45. We got set up. We are slightly angled down Hill in front.  We stopped for a potty break.   Then a gas and lunch break.  Traveling is not as much fun as it has been in the past.  We went back in the garage and found the motorcycle tipped over.  So we got that fixed.  Apparently the back tie downs were never tightened.  Then we went over to the museum and did a quick tour.  At 6 we went over to the food truck and after a very long wait got our food.  Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

April 29, 2021 Red River Rose RV Park, Ardmore OK

 Another quiet day.  It rained till we left for breakfast.   Then threatened the rest of the day.  We had an average breakfast at IHOP.  Then a stop at Walmart.   I bought a toilet seat cover cause the lit was so grody.   Steve had a melt down.  He is afraid he will hit it when he takes a whiz.  My walking schedule was definitely impaired with the rain.  We put away the groceries and eventually we put the bike in and everything else.  Then I got some sewing in.  I started the pillow covers for the flannel quilt.  I made fried potatoes and sausages for dinner.  With bell pepper.  Dishes.  Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.   

April 28, 2021 Red River Rose RV Park, Ardmore OK

 Well there is definitely nothing to report today.  It thundered and lightning most of the night much to the chagrin of the dogs.  We slept in till 8:30.  The dogs went outside reluctantly to do their business.  I sewed most of the day.  Of course Steve was anxious to put up the back table.  It rained and stormed most of the day.  We had fried egg sandwiches for dinner.  I did the few dishes.  Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

April 27, 2021 Red River Rose RV Park, Ardmore OK

 We set the alarm so we could be ready for the faucet repair could come at 8:30.  He didn't  come til 10:30.  Steve had to run to Lowes for parts.  He forgot his wallet again.  He paid with quarters.   People behind him helped him out so that he didn't have to come and get his wallet.  Today was Lyllie's 11th Birthday.   I took my walk.  I sewed most of the day. Then chill for the rest of the day.  It is warm but cloudy and it looks like rain threatening..  I heard back from my doctor that my thyroid is back in the normal range.  We got all of our mail packages.   So we are more than ready to hit the road on Friday..

April 26, 2021 Red River Rose RV Park, Ardmore OK

 Monday started with a bang.   We spent a couple of hours recouping from the lost wallet situation.   Steve got a paper license. But we found  out we have to actually visit a DMV in South Dakota.   So we changed a reservation.  Now hopefully we can get an appointment that works.  We can push Dickinson if we have to.  Once we did all that and did all the printing we had to do we decided to get the dogs' nails trimmed.  Then over to Lowes to get a new faucet for the sink.  Then I tried to get my blood work done.  I ended up at a private lab called Dlo.  That took an hour.  Since we had to wait to have the lab we decided to have a burger at a place called Baums.  Ice cream shop with a small grocery store.  After the lab we headed home.  Now just worried about a couple of mail packages.  I am so ready to leave here.   We had crackers and cheese for dinner.   Then it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.  

April 25, 2021 Red River Rose RV Park, Ardmore OK

 Well I am looking forward to leaving here.  But we have to wait for a couple of mail deliveries. The we will make tracks for our next destination.    Got up about 7:30.  Breakfast.  Took my walk.  Then came back to clean and mop the floors which desperately needed it.  Steve carved most of the morning.   Then he decided to take a motorcycle ride.  I was working on an applique.   Still don't like applique.  Stevecwas back in less than 5 minutes to retrieve his wallet.  Guess what there was no wallet to be found.  We hunted high and low still no wallet. So Steve is trying to cancel cards.  At least it was not the big wallet.  Still a new card means changing all the auto payments on the card.  Any way he continues to search.   I feel so bad for him.  We know he had it around noon on Friday.   After that we are not sure.  The only thing we can figure it that it fell out possibly at Walmart.    Ugh.

Anyway we spent the afternoon looking in all the same spaces.  It's a mystery.   We BBQ'ed  steaks for dinner.  Dishes and finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.

April 24, 2021 Red River Rose RV, Ardmore OK

 We slept in till 8 this morning.   We had breakfast.  The sky clouded over.  We decided to run to Walmart in Madill about 25 miles away.  It was a regular Walmart turned into a Super Walmart.   Then back home.  Put the groceries away and fixed lunch.  I worked on applique today and finished the Stinker.  We made tacos for dinner.  Hopefully tomorrow will be a nice day.   I need to do some mopping.  Dishes were done then it was finally time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

April 23, 2021 Red River Rose RV Park, Ardmore OK

 Well mt phone woke Steve up at 4 so of course he had to wake me up.  Anyway I went back to sleep till 8.  The bad weather held off until later this afternoon  so I  was able to get  three laps in around the lake.  I was going for 4 but Steve decided to walk up to the office and left me standing there.  We came home and finished the last of the reservations .  I finished doing some sewing on my pillow covers.   We had pancakes for dinner.  Dishes and finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

We had some heavy rains and thunder storms.  Should be better weather tomorrow. 

April 22, 2021 Red River Rose RV Park, Ardmore OK

 It was gray and overcast all day today.   We got up and had a bite to eat.  Then we pretty much planned the rest of our trip.  Hopefully things will work out as planned.  We worked up until lunch then after eating lunch we drove into town to check out the grocery store slash fabric store.  Cute little store.  Very few groceries.   Quite a bit of fabric.   Not what I expected.   Checked out one of the grocery stores here in town.  Yuck.  Once we got home we worked on the reservations some more.  Steve carved.  I made chicken enchiladas.   Steve leaned too hard on the oven door and sprung it.  We had to put a tension rod  from the cabinets to the oven in order to keep the door closed.  Two sets of dishes.  Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.   

April 21, 2021 Red River Rose RV Park, Ardmore OK

 Road trip today.  We were out the door around 8.  We had a nice breakfast at the Prairie Inn.  Then we checked out a couple of places in town but didn't stop.  We then headed out to Lake Texoma about 50 miles away.  We checked out the Thousand Trails Park  near there.  We stopped for a potty break.  Then back here to see Marietta which is a small dying town about 15 miles away.  We have yet to find decent grocery store in the area except Walmart.   We got back about 3.  I did my 3 laps around the Pond.  Then dirty rice for dinner.  Steve liked it but was too spicy for me.  Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

April 20, 2021 Red River Rose RV Park, Ardmore OK

 Well it was a good day.  We got up and had breakfast.   It was extremely  cold out and windy.  We gathered up all the laundry and took into town.  We took it to town as the laundry was buried in the dungeon or basement of they call the clubhouse.  Where we went we had concierge service.  They had a gal in there who showed us to our machines started them for us .  Then started the dryers for us.  We were done in the 2.5 hours allotted for laundry.  We headed back home and unloaded.  I fixed us pigs in the blanket for lunch.  I sewed.  We made reservations at camp Cupcake for 4th of July.  I made chicken cordon bleu  for dinner.  Dishes .  Then it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

April 19, 2021 Red River Rose RV Park, Ardmore OK

 Well today was good.  We got up bright and early so we could take the car in for an alignment.   Not sure why I needed to go but off we went.  We were done by 10.  Then we checked out the local laundromat. Back to the rig.  I walked the dogs Steve got propane.  I made some chicken cordon bleu.  We had lunch.  Then I was able to get some sewing done.  Steve did carve some after the inevitable game shows were over.  We BBQ'ed chicken thighs for dinner.  Dishes and it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

April 18, 2021 Red River Rose RV Park, Ardmore OK

 Well it was a beautiful day.  We got up about 8 and did our chores.  Then we decided to go see Turner Falls about 10 miles away.  They wouldn't let us in with the dogs.  Steve left his wallet at home so we hit up Walmart then brought the groceries home.  Then we off again to check out Lake Murray and all their different campsites.  We didn't stop as it cost to park.  Then home.  I finished  my block.  Now to quilt them.  Walked the dogs.  Then Steve took me to town for dinner at Chili's.   It was very good.  Then home for Coffee grinding  and dishes .  Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.   

Not sure what is going on with me. Something is different.   Am I done with traveling?   Hope I figure this out soon.  

April 17, 2021 Red River Rose RV Park, Ardmore, OK

 We had a quiet day at the rig.  We got up about 7:30. I made a big breakfast then we finished setting up the trailer.  We took a walk around the pond and checked out the office and laundry.  I came back and set up the back for sewing. Later this afternoon we took another walk around the lake.  I got some sewing in Steve carved.  We had a nice chat with Sandy and we made several reservations.  We are both out of sorts.  Adjusting to getting back on the road I guess.  We BBQ'ed hamburgers for dinner.  Dishes were done .  Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

April 16, 2021 Red Rose RV Park , Ardmore OK

Steve let me sleep in til 7.  I woke up just prior to that.  He would barely let me slam back my coffee.   We made it on the road by 8:20.  We drove 305 miles.  Steve had his handy Dandy  Garman so not real sure if all the roads we took.  Texas is so big.  The park is ok.  It had been raining but the next hose was leaking real bad.  We we all set up by 4.  Then we went through the agony of setting up the local channels.  I fixed dinner and did the dishes.  I put everything out.  We will do the bike tomorrow.   Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

April 15, 2021 Palo Duro RV Park, Canyon TX

 Today was cold and gray.  I have developed a cough .  Very weird.  I am almost back to normal otherwise.  May be allergies.  Note. Coincidentally over 60 years ago  I was in Amarillo  passing thru with my parents.  I was sick with most likely the same thing I have now and the doctor  came to the motel where we were staying to attend to me.  We hung out at the house most of the day.  I put in sweats and we hunkered down.  Not much rain.  About 4 we went out and got Subway sandwiches and filled the tank with gas. Steve went in to get the sandwiches and came back with a blow by blow story of the sandwich making process or lack there of.  So we had an early dinner and continued the preparation process.

April 14, 2021 Palo Duro RV Park,, Canyon TX

 Well the most exciting thing that happened today was I lost the short cut to my blog.  It was overcast all day long.  Steve tries to help but he has no compassion for anybody if he has to put himself out.  The TV must be on if he is downstairs or I must go up to the bed.  I layed around all day.  I am getting back to normal.   No much else to report.  Steve ate the left over steak for lunch so we had grill cheese sandwiches  for dinner.  We are expecting another day tomorrow just like this one.  

April 13, 2021 Palo Dura RV Park, Canyon TX

 Today we spent most of the day at the urgent care.   We were waiting in the wrong spot.  Got meds.  I think I am on the mend.  The fever comes and goes.  Then we decided to have lunch at  Joe Tacos.  They had wonderful chips and salsa.  Then we went to Walmart to get the prescription.   They didn't have the the script then the pharmacy closed for lunch. So I went home and took a nap.  Then back to Walmart.   Steve made me an egg sandwich which tasted funny.  I went up to bed early  watch TV and cuddle with the dogs.  I hope I get well soon.  

April 12, 2021 Palo Dura RV Park, Canyon TX

 Amarillo did it to me 60 years later. I am pretty sure I have a bladder or Kidney infection.   Low temp and chills.  We will see in the morning about going to the urgent care   

Cold and windy all day.  Steve pulled the printer out and monopolized the cabin area.  Then I pulled out the sewing and did the same thing.  Got one pillow cover done Betty seems to have a bee in her bonnet about something.   Guess she'll get over it.  We went to the big Texas steakhouse.  For some reason we could not have ice cream as Steve was too full.  And it is all about Steve.  We tried to find the Post office in canyon but could not.  Home for TV and cuddles with the dogs.   

April 11, 2021 Palo Dura RV Park, Canyon TX

 We actually had a fun day. Steve was up at 5:30. I went for my walk with the dogs.  2 laps tomorrow maybe 3.  Came home and did my chores.  Then we headed to Cadillac Ranch which I Cadillac's buried in the dirt.  Then a stop at Camping World.  Then Best Buy.  I can now charge my phone in the car.  Finally we hit United Grocery then home.  Lunch the sewing.  Finally dinner dishes and then TV and cuddles with the dogs.   Steve slept o

ff and on throughout the day.  Not sure if he is tired or bored.  He did drive for three days in a row.  Our neighbors are leaving tomorrow.   They are also full timers.  She brought me a new fruit basket that she no longer wanted.  They are leaving tomorrow.   Hopefully nobody else will take that spot before we go.  85 degrees today.  

April 10, 2021 Palo Duro RV, Canyon TX Park

 We got up about 8:30.  It was nice to sleep in.  About 10 we sallied forth about 10 miles from the park.  There was quite a line of cards waiting to get into the park.  But I expected that being a Saturday.   We stopped at the visitor center.   The canyon itself was underwhelming.   Were went up and down the main road.  Then over to Walmart.  We were back at the rig  by one.  We had lunch.  The dogs and I did a walk.  Then I sat on the phone with direct TV so we could get the local channel's.   We decided to leave the bike in as this is a very run down park.  It is really hard to to sew with the bike in but it is only for a few days. We had left over ravoli lasagna for dinner.  Dishes a quick walk with the dog and it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

April 9th, 2021 Palo Duro RV Park, Canyon TX

 We drove 305 Mike's today.  We left right at 8.  We got up at 5 and me at 6.  We stopped a couple of times for gas and potty stops.  The wind was blowing  up a storm and continues to blow here in Canyon.  The park needs quite a bit of TLC.  Actually it is very run down.  We are in a buddy site.  We are about 3 feet from our neighbors front door.  We are door to door with our neighbor.   I took the dogs for a short walk.   We has leftovers for dinner.  After making the trailer into our home again it was time to for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

April 8, 2021 American RV, Albuquerque NM

 Today we traveled about 245 miles and landed in Albuquerque about.  We stopped once for a potty break and once for a lunch break at a Petro station in Grant's NM.  Once we got our spot we did not unhook the trailer.  We attempted to make some reservations and ended up staying in Ardmore OK.  I made the ravoli lasagna.  I thought it turned out pretty good.   Finally it was time for TV and cuddles.   

I hope we didn't make a mistake by not making more reservations. 

April 7, 2021 Petrified Forest Gift Shop, Holbrook AZ

 It took us awhile to get out of Congress.   We left about 9.  We took 89 to 93 to 74 to 17 to 40 at Flagstaff.  Then across 40 to Holbrook.  It was about 276 miles. The gift store is about 20 miles out of Holbrook out in the tullies.  We have electricity but nothing else.  We got here about 3:30. We did not unhook.  Dinner was steak salads. We sat outside for awhile .  Dishes then finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

April 6, 2021 Escapees North Ranch, Congress AZ

 Tonight is our last night here.  We are pretty much packed and ready to go.  Steve got in a huff about work camping.  Which mind you we never discussed.   I was just what was happening.    Then he gets in a snit because he is not getting his way.  

Anyway we were up early.  I got an early start with the laundry.   I was done by 11:30.  Then home for lunch which was Quesadilla made by Steve which were not great.   I put away the clothes and remade the bed.  Otherwise I pretty much read all day.  I am anxious to go and get somewhere new.  We had Betty¹s chicken enchiladas for dinner.  I dispatched the dishes then it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

April 5, 2021 Escapees North Ranch, Congress AZ

 We had a rather quiet day in the Campground.   We got up and started to go walking about 8:30.  I barely got across the street and realized I was going nowhere fast.  My back was giving me fits.  I think muscle spasms.  Steve had to finish walking the dogs.  It seems to be better as the days wore on.  

Steve took a rather long motorcycle ride.   I sewed and started putting away the sewing room. Then Steve came home and we took a trip to town for groceries.   Came back and put it all away.  I tried the shrimp scampi for dinner.  Dishes and it was finally time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.   

April 4, 2021 Escapees North Ranch, Congress AZ

 Happy Easter.  I got out before 8 for my walk.   Took care of chores.  I started sewing but I didn't get very far when Steve decided we should take a ride to Bagdad .  We were planning on getting a late lunch.  The two places in Bagdad were closed for Easter.  Duh.  Then we decided to go to Bashas deli.  Steve had burritos and I had a salami sandwich . We parked in a shady spot to eat it.  Bagdad is a mining town and that's it.  We came back and checked out the Ghost town in Congress.   Then home with a stop at the dog park.  We came home to a very hot house.  We hung out for awhile then BBQ'ed our steaks.  I sat out for awhile as it was nicer outside than inside.  The the usual TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

April 3, 2021 Escapees North Ranch, Congress AZ

 We got up at 8 and rushed out the door so that we could sit outside and wait for Nichols West to open.  We had a nice breakfast.   We came home and I rearranged our camping schedule .  We will not leave here until Wednesday April 7th .  Then we hung out.  I sewed and Steve did a little carving and knife sharpening.   Steve went down to the office to install the maps on our new garman.   He dropped me off at the dog park and I walked back.  It was hot here all day.   I continued to sew.  We looked at a house for sale but it had already been sold.   Then we went up to Yarnell to check out the garmen.  Then waffles for dinner.  I did the dishes.   We sat outside for half an hour then it was time to go our separate ways for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

April 2, 2021 Escapees North Ranch, Congress AZ

 Well today was better than yesterday.   Steve calmed down.  I got up and ate breakfast.   The dogs and I walked a mile.  They did their thing.  It was hot all day.  I sewed and almost finished the pillow covers.  Otherwise we just hung out at the rig.  Life is much calmer here after Casa Grande. We ran the generator to cool down the rig.  We decided to change our plans .  We are staying here til the 8th now due to high winds in Holbrook.   We won't go to the park in Tejaris NM.  We will still be in Palo Dura TX on schedule.   I walked almost another mike about 6.  Not as fun as walking at Casa Grande but still feels good.  We BBQ'ed hot dogs for dinner.  Dishes then we actually sat outside for awhile and I finished another book! Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

April 1, 2021 Escapees North Ranch, Congress AZ

 Well today was not a good day.  Steve woke up in a snit and stayed that way all day.  I don't even want to be around him. He is being an asshole.   We set out on the walk and he turned around with the dog and left Hazel and I.  Never said by.  He remained in a snit all day.  I promised myself I would not by into it but I finally had enough.  I got quite a bit of sewing in.  Steve sulked most of the day.  Slept to irritate me. He went to Big O  but they could not help with the alignment.   We signed up for the Grand design rally in Plymouth in September.   Ishmael's will be there.  We drove to the Post Office. came back.  Went to Screamers for dinner.   We drove around Wickenburg Ranch.  We came back to the dog park.   There was a guy out there sitting who had no dog.  Very odd. Then home to chill and finally fight.  Then it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
