June 30, 2021 Camp Cupcake, Spirit Lake IA

 We traveled about 200 miles stopping 3 times.  We were on the road by 9.  We arrived here at 2.  We unloaded and got aet up.  Justin  got us all situated.   It was good to see everyone.   Shirley and Paul got here by the time we got the bike out.  Once we got set up and visited with everyone Steve decided he was going to throw a hissy fit about I not sure what.  He has a really bad king complex of late.  We went back out and sat some more.  We ate dinner then chatted til 10.  No time for cuddles tonight.  Or tv for that matter.  

June 29, 2021 Hidden Bluffs Campground, Spring Grove MN

 This was our last day here. This would be the perfect spot if only the cell service was better.  Okay I enjoy my access to the internet.   I like looking up the stars in the movies and getting their info.  Also the roads into the part are not paved.  We got up about 7:30. I fixed egg and bacon burritos for breakfast.  Then did my chores.  We leisurely got the clothes ready to take to the laundromat in Decorah. I had two loads.  26 minutes to wash and 28 minutes to dry then folding and we were off.  Steve went to Walmart while I was in the laundromat then he came and helped me find clothes.  Then we were off to HyVee for a few items.  Finally we were headed home with a stop for gas.  We put everything away and just chilled until dinner. I made smoked sausage and used the left over potatoes and carrots.  Dishes and made the coffee.  Then it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

June 28, 2021 Hidden Bluffs Campground, Spring Grove MN

 We had another slow start to the day.  I am mostly better. Some soreness in my abdomen. I worked on getting my quilt organized.  Found where I made my mistake.  Then we decided to check out some different laundromats.  We washed the truck in Spring Grove  and headed to Decorah where we found the perfect one.  We stopped at Walmart for a few things.  Back at the rig we out it all away.  Then I decided to pick the materials for my old school substitute blocks and put the sewing machine away. We BBQ'ed chicken and did dishes. Then the rain came as promised . Finally it was time for TV and cuddles and cuddles with the dogs. 

June 27, 2021 Hidden Bluffs Campground, Spring Grove MN

 What was list is found.  Steve  found his wallet N new driverlicence required.  Fiund 120 dollars. Woke up this morning with diarrhea.   Some stomach issues.  Feeling better.  Still have a head ache.  Will sleep it off tonight.  Worked on organizing Dan's quilt. Couple of issues. Two more days and we are off to see Western Iowa and the Heebner's.   Watching TV now.  Cuddles with the dogs.  

June 26, 2021 Hidden Bluffs Campground, Spring Grove MN

 Sophie was a pill last night and woke up the Bear. Steve got up at 5 or was was woken up by Sophie.  I thank god every day that we didn't have kids together.   So if course he pouted until it was time to leave.   It rained all day.   Steve left about 1 to have the tires put on.  I had a marvelous day alone with the dogs.  Took them out twice.  I got quite a lot of sewing done.  Steve got home about 6:30.  He picked up a pizza.   Finally it was  time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

June 25. 2021 Hidden Bluffs Campground, 2021

 Well I hate to admit it but I hate being without phone service.  There is just too much that I do on my phone especially the words with friends. Anyway we got up late and enjoyed the morning.  Then about eleven we decided to hit the road to find cell service .  While we we doing that we were exploring the south eastern corner of Minnesota.   We took lunch snacks with us and stopped at Pine Lake Park and had a picnic lunch.  Then we motored on and I took care of business.  Steve scheduled the tires for tomorrow.   Then we decided to go to Walmart to return my Jean's and pick up a few things.  Back to the rig with rain threatening.   We decided to have waffles rather than bbq.   After dishes it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

June 24, 2021 Hidden Bluffs Campground, Spring Grove MN

 We actually hung around the rig all day.  We were anticipating rain but it never happened.  We got up late.  It was almost 8 when we got up.  I decided to make a pot roast in the instapot  using the slow cook method.  It sucks I hate it and I want my crockpot back.  After my chores I took the dogs for a walk. We had lunch. I had peanut butter and jam sandwich in 5 or 6 years. Then I worked on Dan's quilt.  We had lunch.  More sewing and carving for Steve.   I ended up pressuring the pot roast as the potatoes and carrots were not cooking.  We finally ate dinner and I did the dishes.   Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. I hate having bad phone service.

June 23, 2021 Hidden Bluffs Campground, Spring Grove MN

 We had  a great day .  We got up early, really early. I went back to sleep. I got and made Steve a nice breakfast.   The did my chores. I walked the dog in order to mail a letter.  Couldn't mail.  We drove into Spring Grove. I picked up a few things at the store.  We checked our phones.  Came home.  We ate lunch.  Steve carved until the bugs drove him in.  I worked on the snowman quilt.   I put the wrong snowman on the blocks.  Oh well.  I can hardly wait to be done with these blocks.  I couldn't put my book down and I finally finished it. We BBQ'ed hamburgers for dinner.  Did a few dishes.   Then it was finally time for TV and cuddles with  the dogs. 

June 22, 2021 Hidden bluffs Campground, Spring Grove MN

 This morning we up fairly early so that we could drive to La Crosse WI find tires for the truck.  6 of them.  We ended up going to Onalaska.  They are ordered and should be here on Saturday.   Then we found a Ford Dealer but there was no room at the inn until at least July.  Then a much needed haircut at a nearby Great Clips.  A Walmart run then back to the rig for lunch and putting away the groceries. We ate about 2:30.    We hung out at the rig the rest of the afternoon.   It was on the chilly side yesterday but warmer today.  We BBQ'ed pork steaks for dinner.  Finally after dishes it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

June 21, 2021 Hidden Bluffs Campground, Spring Grove MN

 We are now in Minnesota.   It was a short drive. Of course we left at 9. At 4 am the fire alarm battery announced that it needed to replaced. We stopped in  Decorah  at the Walmart to use the potty and eat lunch.  We got here just before one.  We got set up.  The bike's battery was dead.  We took a walk and checked out the place. We had egg and sausage sandwiches.   Did dishes.  We have no cell service here so we will have alot of free time on our hands.  

June 20, 2021 Rustic Barn RV Park, Kieler WI

 It rained all day.  Thunder and lightning this evening.   I got up and fixed the Father of the Day a nice breakfast.  Then I got busy and did another three loads of laundry.   I finished up shortly after one.  Then despite  the rain we took a short jaunt to Eagle Point Park.  Even tho it was pouring there was a lot of groups meeting.  We checked out the locks. Then we tried to find the Veterans Memorial but google maps lead us in the wrong direction.   We saw them as we headed back to the rig.  I fixed dinner and walked the puppies.   I tidied up the kitchen.  Then it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.   

June 19, 2021 Rustic Barn RV Park, WI

 Happy Junteen.  We got up and on the road to the House on the Rock by 8:30.  We were in the house by 9:30.  It continues to be incredible.  It was constructed by a guy named Alex Jordan.   He only stayed on the property 4 night during his lifetime.  It was sold to a guy named Donalson who was a collector.   The place is magnificent and overwhelming.   We were able to go through section 3 this time.  We were there about 3.5 hours.   We did 8665 steps 16 floors and 3.34 miles. We came home andcrested for awhile the we headed to Dubuque to the Harley Store for shirts for Steve. Then we went to see the Fenalon Elevator where they have the steepest and shortest narrow gauge.  Then we checked out the Dubuque Riverwalk.  Finally after over 10k steps we headed home for leftovers.  Finally after dishes it was time for TV and cuddles with Sophie.  Hazel is guarding her bone in the bed downstairs. 

June 18, 2021 Rustic Barn RV Park, Kieling WI

 Well today was a crap day.  It started out fine till Steve asked me if I was doing laundry.   When I said no he had a meltdown.  When I asked why he admitted that he was out of underwear.   For some reason he can't wear white ones that would fit him better.  I remember when we were in Walmart and he had to buy colored ones because they were out of whites.  The world as he knew it was over.  So we left the house with him in a snit for the rest of the day. We drove about 100 miles to drive down the main street of the Dells.  We ate lunch at their city park. He seemed to be getting over his pique but I wasn't ready to let him off the hook.  Needless to say it was a very quiet day.  Then we came home.  We got a little turned around. We got home about three. I immediately took his clothes over to the laundry to wash.  Then it was time for dinner.  Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.   

June 17, 2021 Rustic Barn RV Park, Kieling WI

 We drove about 270 miles stopping once to potty and once for lunch.  We left on schedule at 9 and arrived shortly after 2.  We got set up and then collapsed in our chairs.   We had dinner, dishes then it was finally time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.   Very nice park.  Very well maintained. 

June 16, 2021 D & W Lake RV Park, Champaign, IL

Today is our last day here.  Angie called so I guess she is still alive.  Kevin on the other hand is going through some tough days.  We got up leisurely had breakfast and did a few chores.   I worked on finishing cutting for Dan's quilt.   Steve went out to the Clam and carved for an hour or so.  Then we had pigs in the blanket for lunch.  Finally we went down to Culver's for a quick bite to eat.  Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.

June 15, 2021 D & W Lake RV Park, Champaign IL

 It was a nice day.  I got up late 7:30.  I got up at 5 and went upstairs. Once I let Sophie out I was able to go back to sleep. We had a stay at home day.  Steve slept most of the day. We got up and took care of our chores.  I gave both the dogs their bath which was well over due.  We ate  lunch.  Then I did some cutting for Dan's quilt.  Betty  is driving me crazy and she is not even here.  Then we finally had our steak salads for dinner.  After a few dishes it was finally time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

June 14, 2021 D & W Lake RV Park, Champaign IL

 Today is Flag day.  We got up by 7:30.  We ate breakfast and did our normal routine.  Mr Grouchy. Tried to figure out why.  Finally it occurred to me it was time to pay the piper aka visa for all the purchases we made in KY and everywhere else.  We took the dogs to the dog park and walked around the park.  Steve wanted to do it.    We were planning on going to Walmart but then discovered that Costco was only 9 minutes away.  Steve wanted to wait until we had to drive 50 to 100 miles plus.  But in the end reason prevailed and we went to Costco and Walmart.  So we shopped for 2 plus hours.  Then we came back and it took me 2 hours to put it all away.  I chilled all the rest of the day.  Dinner was a rotisserie chicken.  Dishes and finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

June 13, 2021 D & W Lake Resort, Champlain IL

 We left New Paris on schedule at 9.  We only had about 200 miles but it turned out longer.  We need up getting on Hwy 70 avoiding the closed highway 74.  We took smaller road which had detours.  We stopped for a couple of potty breaks but ate lunch in the car.  We arrived about 2:30 .  We gained an hour as we are back in Central time.  We chilled for the rest of the afternoon.   I am getting really fed up and I am not sure exactly why.  I think I am ready to quit traveling so much.  Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
