September 30, 2021 Park Sierra , Coarsegold CA

 Steve got up early  to go up to the maintenance crew  but he was too late.  He came home and installed lights under the trailer.   Then he had to rest the rest of the day to recover.  He said he was nauseous.   I told him that I would plan on something else for dinner rather than the meatloaf and mashed potatoes and gravy I had planned.  Amazingly his nausea went away and he thought he would be able to eat dinner.  I talked to Sandy and Betty and told them we wouldn't be coming to Fiesta Grande.  They took it pretty well.  I sewed most of the rest of the day.  We took the dogs to the dog park and stopped to visit Kent and Lynn Russell.  Then dinner dishes and finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

September 29, 2021

 Mr. Grumpy pants got up this morning  and has lasted most of the day.  We got up and out early.  We had an over priced breakfast at Pete's.   Steve went to the auto zone and hardware store. Then while we waited for our nail appointment he fixed the broken light on the right turn signal.  After the nail appointment I went into Raleys  for groceries.   Then home to put everything away and fix the tire on the cart that went flat overnight.   Steve carved for awhile late in the afternoon.   I ran the dogs to the dog park.   Dinner was tacos. Dishes and it was finally time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.   

Steve must be out of his comfort zone in spending.   

September 28, 2021 Park Sierra, Coarsegold CA

 We were approved for residency at Orchard Ranch for 1 year starting October 19th.  It was nip and tuck as we had to notify Fiesta Grande 60 days out so that we could get our  deposit back.  So we were on oins and needles all day waiting to hear.  Finally at 3 or there about we got the call.  Then I called Fiesta Grande and their phones must not be working as it was busy so I called Encore direct and they helped me.  All Arizona phones must be out.  Now to tell Sandy and Betty. Steve found a flat tire on the golf cart.  Aired all the tires. Steve raked leaves in the yard but of course he needed my help to pick them up.  We delivered them to the back 40.  I finished Dan's Sham at least the part that has to go to the quilters.   We were going out for dinner with Gary and Marie.  That guy is too much.  We were going out for Chinese. Went to Oakhurst but they were closed.  So we ended up at the Casino for burgers.  Came home and it was finally time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

September 27, 2021 Park Sierra, Coarsegold CA

 This month is almost done. Steve decided not to work so we had a leisurely breakfast.  We ran to dogs to the dog park and picked up the mail.  I decided to sew finally.  Steve puttered around outside.  Lunch. We walked over to the McCords and chatted with them for an hour plus.  Then more sewing for me and watering for Steve.  We BBQ'ed check steaks for dinner.  Dishes and dogs teeth.  Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.   

September 26, 2021 Park Sierra,, Coarsegold CA

 Well today turned into a very busy day.  We put out the awning in back.  We installed the phone.  I don't remember it being so hard.  My ostomy supplies arrived finally.  So I put all those away.  Steve watched football. I put the individual dots into one bag.  The McCords arrived back in the park.  We BBQ'ed burgers for dinner.  Steve 'a kidney stone seems to have resolved itself.  I think it was muscle pain from stress.  The purchase of the car carrier was very costly very stressful.   Finally all chores done. It was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

September 25, 2021 Park Sierra, Coarsegold CA

 Busy day today.  Steve thinks he has a kidney stone again.  So far it is not bad enough to stop him from doing quite a few jobs.  He serviced the generator and worked on the slides and the hot water heater.  I got help hold the ladder.  I did get some sewing done.  We did our normal cart ride with the dogs.  Finally it was time for BBQED hot dogs..  I am still hungry tho as that's all I got.  Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.   Such is nice that we are staying put for awhile.  

September 24, 2021 Park Sierra, Coarsegold CA

 We got up leisurely and had our coffee.  More things to handle with the cargo trailer.  Then we did chores and went to Oakhurst for groceries.   We took them back to the rig and put them away. We had lunch and while away the day till dinner.  We took the dogs to the dog park in the cart.   I made salmon patties for dinner.  They were okay but nothing to write home about.  Dishes then it was finally time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

September 23, 2021 Park Sierra, Coarsegold CA

 We worked hard today. Steve messed around with the trailer.  We got one in Georgia.  All is not set but in the works.  Means we will have to go to Georgia in January or February.   I got some ironing done.  Then we decided to start sorting through the stuff in the loft and trying to condense some things.  Then we started in on the shed.  We have about 3 weeks from today.   Irchard ranch called to let us know they got the check and the paperwork.   Now we should know one way or the other about the lease by Monday.  We had an early dinner so Steve could go by the Clubhouse to help clean.  Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

September 22, 2021 Park Sierra, Coarsegold CA

 Well we took a leap of faith and made plans to leave on the 14th of October.  Also made plans to have our slide topper repaired on our way to Parhump.   We were lazy this morning.  About 10:30 Steve took me to the laundry where I did 7 loads of laundry.   Steve picked me up.  Put the clothes away.  Steve tried not to go outside as it was very smokey.   I think he slept most of the day.  He cracked up a scheme to get the trailer he wants but we have to drive to Indiana to get it.  He didn't feel up to BBQ ing .  So I baked a chicken cordon blue. Dishes and it was time for snuggles with the dogs while the TV was on.  

September 21, 2021 Park Sierra, Coarsegold CA

What a day.  We were at the crack of dawn 5:30 and were on our way to Central Valley Repair. We off loaded the trailer and headed to Huckleberry 's.  We had beignets! Then we went to a self serve car wash.  The truck looks much better.  Then we were off to get hair cuts. Steve went to a couple trailer places but the 20 K sticker price was off putting.  At 1 the trailer was not so we went to Walmart for drinks.  With nothing else left to do we headed to the trolley car park  to kill some time.  It was hot so we finally decided to take off and wonder of wonders they called to have us come pick up the trailer.   We were back at Park Sierra by 4.  We hooked up and did our drive around the park and fixed a quick dinner which was a hot dog for me.  Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

September 20, 2021 Park Sierra, Coarsegold CA

 Well we made it back home.  We left about nine drove 158 miles stopping twice for potty stops.  This place continues to feel like home.  We heard from Orchard ranch today.  Things are progressing.   We are both torn about changing our routine and living situation.   Steve continues to be an asshole.  I am sure the fluidity of our plans has a lot to do with Steve's mood. The first thing Steve did was check on the golf cart.  Amazingly he was able to back it out of the storage shed!  We took a ride in it.  We had a small dinner dishes and it was finally time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.   In the middle of my cuddles Steve decided that I should try pushing the slide out.  Which I could not. And my ice cream was melting! That's when the argument started. 

September 19, 2021 Delta Shores RV Park, Isleton CA

 Our last day here.  It was very quiet here.  We are off in our own little world.  We got up and did a few chores getting ready to leave.  We started in at 9 and were done by 10.  We hung out til 2 and went to Joanie and Steve's for a wonderful BBQ.  We sat outside and chatted before and after dinner.  The dogs had a wonderful time in their back yard. We were home by 7:30.  Did a few chores.  Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.   

September 18, 2021 Delta Shores RV Park, Isleton CA

Our time here is almost done.  We saw the kids for the last time on this trip. We got up early and took a wild ride up to Placerville.  We had breakfast with Lindy, Bill and Theresa.   Then followed them home to sort through all the craft stuff they rescued. The material was not good quality and hard to tell if it was 100% cotton.  I took some yarn for Colleen and some flannel.   Then we went over to Nikki's.  I soon realized that I left the notebooks I made for the girls at Lindy's . So after a few GD from Steve we went back to get them. Back at the house we chatted for awhile then went to the former Casa Ramos.  We were stuffed when we left.  Back to the house to Say goodbye.  A 2 hour drive back home.  Then we collapsed.   About 7 it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

September 17, 2021 Delta Shores RV Park, Isleton CA

 Well today Steve went on a motorcycle ride with Don Reutzel.  He met Steve Leach and Don  in Oakley at the Bkack Bear.  They got back about 1.  I dealt with the Post office and the non delivery of our paperwork.   I did get a bit of sewing done but not nearly the amount I wanted to.  I was very frustrated by the time Steve got home.  We worked on scanning the paperwork over there.  Of course when I called they were closed.   Anyway hopefully by Monday we get this all cleared up.  After that we cleaned up everything in back and are ready to start picking up in between social engagements.   We hung out till dinner.  Dishes and finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

September 16, 2021 Delta Shores RV Park, Isleton CA

 We got up by 8:30.  I fixed Steve French toast for breakfast.   Then we hung out in our pj's til almost noon.  I did some cutting.   More sewing tomorrow.   We BBQ'ed a brat for dinner with more left overs.  A quiet day for the most part. A few Dishes then it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

September 15, 2021 Delta Shores RV Park, Isleton CA

 Today was visiting day.  We got up and out very early so we could have breakfast with kim and Don Ishmael.  I was shocking to see her without any hair.  But she seemed in good spirits.   Then we came home by 11.  We watched some TV then went to Steve and Joanie's.  We had a nice lunch.  Saw their new house..new to us.  Then we chatted with Sharon and Joanie.  The Steve's went outside to chat.  We left there about 7.  Then we did a few basic chores and it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

September 14, 2021 Delta Shores RV Park, Isleton CA

 Another fairly quiet day. We got up early this morning before 7.  It was rather nice.  At 10 after breakfast and Deal or No Deal we went to the Safeway in Lodi to get the ingredients for tomorrow's dessert.  We came back and had lunch.  I made the crust and we went to checkout another park down the road...Lighthouse.  then we drove around the Delta to get cool.  I came back and finished the dessert.  Then overcooked  BBQ'ed ribsteaks for dinner.  Dishes and it was time for Rizzoli & Isles and cuddles with the dogs. 

September 13, 2021 Delta Shores RV Park, Isleton CA

We slept in until 9! Since most of the day was gone I decided to make this a chore day.  I started by sweeping the floors.   Then both dogs got baths.  Bathroom and kitchen floors were mopped.  Then we had lunch.  I decided to defrost the refrigerator.   Finally about 3:30 I sat down to rest.  We BBQ'ed pork steaks for dinner and ended what was a very busy day.  Steve did a few chores around the house installing a door stopper and lp gas warning system.  Dishes were done and it was finally time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

September 12, 2021 Delta Shores RV Park, Iselton CA

 Today was pretty low key. It was hot as usual.  We got up late. Had breakfast.   We met John Simmons his son Blake and his wife Amanda and two girls.   We met them in Rio Vista at Raul's Striper diner.  We chatted with them for a couple of hours. The rule was no county talk.  Then back to the rig to hibernate out of the sun and heat.   We met our new neighbors.   More left overs for dinner.  Tried to watch a movie upstairs but it was too hot.  There were a few dishes then it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

September 11, 2021 Delta Shores RV Park, Isleton CA

 Today was the day for the kids get together.   It was hotter than anticipated.   We got up early and went to breakfast with Connie and Steve Mitchell.   We went to the Denneys at Flag City.  Back to the rig by 10.  Joanie and Steve came.  There was lots of commotion .  By the time the meal was served I couldn't eat.  Everyone has gotten so big.  Joannie and Steve came and we all had a great time.  All gone by 2:30. Steve started out in a grumpy mood but by the time everyone left he had kind of mellowed out.   After they left we chilled for awhile then I went through all the packages that the brought.  Mail that they had accrued.  Finally at 5 we decided to take a ride drop off all the garbage.   We came back off all the bumpy roads by 6:30. We grabbed a quick meal of left overs.   Dishes.  Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

September 10, 2021 Delta Shores RV Park, Isleton CA

 Really busy day today. Lots of driving around the Delta.  We left later than we anticipated and arrived at Glenda's 49 minutes late.  It wasn't too smokey there but Steve complained the whole time we were in the area.  We visited with Glenda for about 2 hours. Then we checked out our storage container.  Everything was in good shape. The Jimboys for lunch.  We stopped at Stephanie's to check out her new place which definitively needs a man's touch.  Walmart stop and we were on the way home.   Traffic was a awful it reminded me of the bay area.  We ate left over pizza for dinner.   Dishes and finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.   

September 9, 2021 Delta Shores RV Park, Isleton CA

 We has a very restful day.  We slept in till almost 9.  I didn't get dressed til 11:30.  We continued to get set up.  It was hot.  We had lunch.   Then took a drive  to Rio Vista to pick up some groceries.   Came back I made the Cowboy beans for Saturday.   We have made plans to see a lot of people.  More in the making.  I doubt I  will get much sewing done.   We ate left overs from the tri tip.  The fridge is still over loaded.  Dishes.   Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

September 8, 2021 Delta Shores RV Park, Brannen Island CA

 We were up and on the road by 9.  We travelled about 265 miles arriving here around 3 pm. It was 102 when we got here but not too smokey. We stopped a couple of times to push the slide in. And of course for lunch.  I think the approaching change in routine is making Steve grumpy.  By the time we got aet up we were dropping with sweat.  Dinner was fried egg sandwiches. Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

September 7, 2021 Ancient Redwoods RV Park, Redcrest CA

 Busy day here for our last day in the park.  We got up about 7:45.  Breakfast and we got ready to hit the road.  We made some phone calls.  We headed to the post office the the laundry.   Steve got gas and propane. I did laundry. 4 loads in just over two hours.  Then Safeway and Papa Murphy's.   Home to unload everything.  Then we slowly put away everything we could .  Finally we cooked the pizza ate and cleaned up the kitchen.  Steve shifted briefly into asshole mode.  Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

September 6, 2021 Ancient Redwoods RV Park, Redcrest CA

 The universe has aligned.  The Stickney's have been on time twice now.  We got up on the late side. Breakfast and chores.  Separated the laundry and Steve loaded into the truck. I drove down there and it was backed up.  We decided to take it into Fortuna tomorrow.   Steve took a motorcycle ride.  I hung out here.  Stickney's arrived at 3. The Thode's decided to join us.  I really like Judy.  We BBQ'ed a tri-tip.  We had potatoes and salad.  Judy brought peanut butter brownies.   They were delicious.  I came in and did dishes while I chatted with Judy. They may be getting an RV and doing some traveling.  They left about 8 . Stickney's about 8:50.  Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

September 5, 2021 Ancient Redwoods RV Park, Redcrest CA

 Today was a much better day than yesterday.  We got up and out of the house by 8ish.  We got to Jerry's at 10 to nine. Miracles of miracles the car was running and Jerry and Sheila were ready and waiting. We followed them over to the Cutten Chalet. The Thode's were there.  We had a great breakfast.   Steve shared his concerns about Prescott with me which explains his bad mood yesterday.   We stopped at Safeway in Fortuna.  Then home . Steve carved and I sewed.  I got a couple packages ready for the mail.  We baked a stuffed porkchop for dinner.  We hit the road in a couple of days.it was quite hot here today.  Dishes dog teeth and coffee.  Then it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

September 4, 2921 Ancient Redwoods RV Park, Redcrest CA

 Well Mr Grumpy pants came to visit today. We slept in late.  Had breakfast and did chores.   Then Steve got out the printer to print out the paperwork for Orchard Ranch.  Every other word was god dam it. Then I was busy putting away the groceries from yesterday.  I took the dogs for a walk while I was gone he put the printer away then pitched a bitch about.  Like he was trying to pick a fight.  He was busy watching football till late afternoon when he started carving.  Then he went over the credit card charges for the last couple of days which he never does.  Again like he wanted to pick a fight.  I did get some sewing done. We BBQ'ed hamburgers for dinner.  Dishes and I made my escape upstairs to watch TV and  have cuddles with the dogs. 

September 3, 2021 Ancient Redwoods RV Park, Redcrest CA

 We had a wonderful 16th anniversary.   We had a nice breakfast that Sheila made and brought.  They were supposed to be here at 9 but in the Stickney tradition they did get here till  10.  We ate and Sheila and I took off for shopping . The guys went visiting. Sheila and I stopped in Fortuna at Starbucks.   Then the quilt store on V street.   TJ Max and frustrating stop at Walmart.  Then the guys called and said they would meet us at the restaurant at 5:30.  I went to Costco while Sheila went to get a pizza at papa Murphy's.  Then gas in the car and Kohl's.   Finally  we met the guys at Gallagher's for dinner.  It was very yummy.  Stickney's treated.  We transferred the goodies and we headed home.  Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.   A perfect day.

 Well another fun day at the park. We said good bye to Joanie and Steve. We had a wonderful breakfast of bacon and french toast. Then as soon as they left  Sheila and I headed to Eureka to the quilt store Walmart and Kohl's.   We made it back to the rig by 4. The guys made it back shortly  thereafter.   We BBQ'ed brats and beans.  Stevecwas going to stay inside until Judy Thode dropped by.  We came in for dessert then it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs. 

We got a spot at Prescott Valley.   If the approve us!
