Thursday October 31, 292 Preferred RV Park, Parhump NV 4, I'll

 We got up atvthe crack of dawn so we could be at the Tire place across the street by 8. Breakfast and chores. And we were off at 7:50.  We parked where we were supposed to and watched everybody arrive at work by 8.  They were done by 9:30 and we were headed to Parhump.  We took 168 out of Big Pine. Big mistake. Up

and down and very curvy.  We stopped once along that road for a potty break. Then we ate lunch at Beatty.  Arrived at Parhump about 2 then got set and collapsed. Stitching and football thecrest of the night.

Wednesday October 30, 2024, Highlands RV Park, Bishop CA

 we got up about 7:30. Breakfast and chores.  At 9:30 we took off for Lone Pine and Alabama Hills. That is where the shoot TV Westerns. It is about an hour away.  It was beautiful scenery.  Then home . Steve went back to the Bakery and we got gas. Back to the rig. Lunch. TV and stitching.  At 3:30 we put the cart in and walked the dogs while Steve dumped.  Then we hunkered down for the evening.  TV stitching.  

Tuesday October 29, 2024 , Highland's RV Park, Bishop CA

 We got up about 7:30 . Breakfast and chores. Then we decided to run errands. We went to the meat store and picked up Jerky for Colleen.  Then we got gas. Schatz Roadhouse for burgers.   Then the Bakery which was amazing and over whelming.  Got a few goodies. Then  we were going to Big Pine but it was 50 plus miles to Lone Pine so we decided to wait until tomorrow.  Then home. TV and stitching the rest of the day. I made pot roast in the crockpot. Turned out great.  Steve voluntarily took the dogs for their afternoon walk.  

Monday October 28, 2024, Highlands RV park, Bishop CA

 We got up early 7:30. Breakfast,  chores. Then we packed up and headed out by 9:30. Said goodbye to Bob next door.  Drove 200 miles over 395 to Bishop. One stop for a potty break  one more for lunch. Arrived here about 2. Set up  by three.   Watched the game and relaxed.  No major incidents.  20 mile an hour winds here.  Easier to function at this lower altitude

Sunday October 27, 2024, Tahoe Valley Campground, South Lake Tahoe CA

 We got up late about 8:15. We decided that we really didn't want to go to breakfast so we did the normal breakfast and chores here.  Got dressed about 10:30. Football and stitching all day. Sat out and visited with our new friend Bob next door but it was too cold  for me. I came in.  More TV until it was time for a dog park run.  Came back and picked up a few things. Came back Diner. Bob came by for a visit. Another Football game and more stitching.  Bed prep.

Saturday October 26, 2024, Tahoe Valley Campground, South Lake Tahoe CA

 We slept in late this morning.  I woke up before Steve. Had to call on him to make sure he was still alive.  Sophie even came to sleep with me.  Breakfast and chores. Then off to Tractor Supply to get propane and gas. We met up with an old school friend of Steve's Alma Diehl Green. Then back over Kingsbury grade to Safeway. Home for snacks TV and stitching.  I made enchiladas for dinner. Cartride to the dog park. Started putting things away. Neighbor came over for a short visit.  TV and stitching tge rest of the night.

Friday, October 25, 2024, Tahoe Valley Campground, South Lake Tahoe CA

 I woke up at 5:00. Stayed up and finished my book. Steve got up at 7 as he had to reset the circuit breaker again. Breakfast and chores.  At 10 after a pointless trip tovthe dog park  we headed to Placerville.  Stopped at Fresh Pond to pee.  Checked out the downtown to see what was new. Then we checked out the old homestead and tiny home village on Acorn Hill.  Then over to Redhawk to have lunch with Dan and Judy Kibler.  Everything about the same.  Left there about 1:30 . Came home over 88.  Lots of burnt trees.  Wow. Got home around 4.  Back to TV and stitching. Made pigs in the blanket for a light supper.

Thursday October 24, 2024, Tahoe Valley Campground, South Lake Tahoe CA

 We got up about 7:30. Coffee and chores. I made bisquits and gravy as a treat.  Cleaned up the mess. Then Steve put up the curtains in the bedroom which look great. I swept and  vaccuumed.  Then we put up the new tie downstairs on the main cabin curtains.  Took the dogs out in the cart.  Finally time to stitch and TV. Dinner was left over hamburger stroganoff. 

Wednesday October 23, 2024, Tahoe Valley Campground, South Lake Tahoe CA

 We got up on the late side. Breakfast and chores. Gathered up the laundry, sorted it and off went. 5 loads and three hours later I was back at tge rig. Put away and back to stitching.  Terrible experience with their setup.  Stitching and TV the rest of the day.  Dinner was left over hamburgers.  

Tuesday, October 22, 2024, Tahoe Valley Campground, South Lake Tahoe CA

 We got up really late.  Breakfast and chores.  We decided to get propane and stop for groceries.   We were almost out of coffee creamer. OMG,   So we gathered the troops and took off. We first went to DYI for propane and it was $4.98 a gallon.  So we decided to go to Minden and top off the truck as well. Saved almost $50. From there we headed to  Genoa to see the oldest bar in Nevada.  Then took  hwy 50 to Carson.  Turned to South Lake Tahoe.  At Zephr cove we stopped for groceries at Safeway .  Then home finally to unload.  A quick lunch. The back to TV and stitching.  Made tacos for dinner.  More TV and stitching. 

Monday, October 21, 2924, Tahoe Valley Campground, South Lake Tahoe CA

 Well our trip is drawing to a close.  We got up about 7. Breakfast and chores. Sophie's leg is still bothering her. Glenda got here at 10 on the dot. We sat in the trailer til about 1:30. We caught up on family gossip. We started talking about lunch. Nobody was really interested in going.. The place we were considering closed at 2. So finally at 1:30 we decided to go. It was OK. They dropped us off. Then bizarro Steve appeared out of nowhere. So it has been a rather quiet evening.  He is better.  UGH. He misses me off when he does that but if you ask him what is wrong he just gets madder. Stitching and football the rest of the night. 

Sunday October 20, 2024, Tahoe Valley Campground, South Lake Tahoe CA

 Got up about 7:30. Before I could get coffee or dressed visitors started dropping by.  First Teddy. Then all the girls and Jim. I started breakfast at 9:30 after dressing.  Scrambled 2 dozen eggs. Everyone got some including the dogs.  We ate at 10. Took a family pic and all gone by 11. Becky and her group froze all night cause Jim never powered the breaker . Then football and stitching the rest of the day and night. Dog park  run and cleanup.  Left over dos for dinner 

Saturday October 19, 2024, Tahoe Valley Campground , South Lake Tahoe, CA

 We got up about 7:30. Breakfast and chores. Very chilly. I stitched for awhile. Steve got ready for the kids onslaught.  Nikki got here about noon. Then Becky about 2 and Stephanie shortly thereafter.  We got caught up. Fixed hamburgers and hot dogs about 4.   Everybody brought food. Kids played basketball.  Then we went in the house to keep warm. They played some games. I stitched and watched some games.

Friday October 18, 2024, Tahoe Valley, South Lake Tahoe CA

 We got up on the late side. Breakfast and chores. About 10 we set out for Carson City. We got diesel and def in Minden.  The dog food and snacks at Tractor Supply.   Back in car to Walmart.  Then  we drove over Mt Rose and thru all the little towns on the east side of the lake.  We passed thru Emerald Bay and back home by 3:30. Rest then a dog park run. Steve had to drag out tables and chairs . Kids and grandkids arrive tomorrow.  Should be interesting.  They are leaving Sunday.

Thursday October 17, 2024, Tahoe Valley Resort, South Lake Tahoe CA

 Got up late.  Breakfast and chores. Before I could finish my routine Steve wanted to go look at all the sites we could have had.  Then home for Toast and coffee.  I started cleaning the floors  swept vaccuumed and mopped. We keep tracking crap in.  Steve worked  outside. Did my pills while tge floors dried. Then we were off to the grocery store.   Came home and put it all away.  Finally time for TV and stitching.  I made hamburger Strognanoff  for dinner.  Dog park run.  More TV until we blew the breaker . The an hour trying to get a streaming app to work. Bought the Tahoe Valley wifi. When all we had to do is reboot the TV.

Wednesday, October 16, 2024, Tahoe Valley, South Lake Tahoe CA

 We got up about 7. Breakfast and chores. Packed up in a rush and hitched up and on the road by 8:30. We drove about 250 miles and arrived here about 2:45. I was worried about the def and the tire but all went well. We stopped 3 times for lunch and potty breaks. Rained heavily most of the drive but it was pretty much done so we lucked out and didn't get drenched whike we were setting up.  We were assigned spot 187. Steve wanted a different one. But we ended up in 187 which he decided he liked after all. Steve could not get the one control to work so we could not turn the lights on or put the bedroom slide out.  I cooked in the dark. I took the dogs out and when I came back in it was working.  So glad. Not sure why it keeps happening.   We were coping barely.

Tuesday, October 15, 2024, McCloud RV Park, McCloud CA

 Sophie woke us up at 5 buy i fell back to sleep about 6 to 7:45.  Breakfast and chores.  Then we went to get gas and check out the nearby Falls. We hiked to the upper and middle falls . Then home for lunch. We finished the day  with TV and stitching.  Steak in the ninja for dinner.

Monday, October 14, 2024. McCloud RV Park, McCloud CA

 We got up about 7. On the road by 8:30. Traveled 203 long miles most of it down 299. At least 4 stops for construction.  Twisty turns. About 10 miles out of Willow Creek at a potty stop Steve spotted a very low tire. We finally found a guy at Good Vibes shop who could repair the tire. Hard yo get in and out of.  About an hour delay.  Got here and set up by 4:30.  Hot here. Dinner and football. 

Saturday, October 12, 2024, Shoreline RV Park, Eureka CA

 We got up about 7:30 to a rainy morning. We hung out till Johnny Johnson and Mary Wynne came by at 11.  Chatted for about 40 minutes then off to lunch on Woodly Island Marina Cafe. Nice lunch.  Then back home to wait for the Stickney's and we finally connected with Leah Findlay.  We BBQed hot dogs and Jerry brought salads and more dogs. Nice conversation.  

Friday, October 11, 2024, Shoreline RV Park, Eureka CA

 We got up about 7:30. Breakfast and chores.  I stitched till it was time for Sheila to come to take us shopping. Had to take the girls out to poop as Steve can't seem to make it happen. Sheila came at 11 or close to that. We hit Kohl's,  Costco and Target.  Back to the rig to unload.  Sheila took off. I stitched till about 4.  Drove to Tractor then met Stickney's at Bear River Entertainment Center. Bowled 2 games. Did better but not great.  Then burgers at the snack bar. Home for more TV. 

Thursday October 10, 2024, Shoreline RV Park, Eureka CA

 We got up late this morning due to Sophie keeping us up half the night. We had breakfast and did chores. It was a nice Sunny day.  We were planning on a quiet day at the rig. Sheila did not have to pick up Ruthie so we decided to visit the country 's smallest zoo and do the Skywalk.  Lots of steps. Then lunch at the Sourdough Co. Came home and "we" did 4 loads of laundry.  Right. It was quick tho.  Folded everything.  Then it was time for the game after walking and feeding the dogs.  More sausage and corn and shrimp casserole for dinner.

Wednesday, October 9, 2024, Shoreline RV Park, Eureka CA

 Got up about 7:30. Breakfast and chores. Hung out till 9:45. Met Sheila and Jerry at the Cutten Chalet fir a great Breakfast.   Then Steve and I went Arcata to check out Mad River RV park.  Not good enough or better to make it worth the drive.  Then home to wait fir the Stickney's and dinner. BBQED a tri-tip twice baked potato casserole.  Yummy.  Finally TV and stitching .

Tuesday October 8, 2024, Shoreline RV Park, Eureka CA

 Busy day. Up early, coffee and chores.  Then offvto breakfast.  Thought we were going to the Cuttin Chalet but turns out they were closed.  So we all met at a place called the Pantry .Judy, Jerry, Sheila Sreve and I.  Chatted and ate. Then Steve and I went to Big 5 for his shoes. Then a quick trip to Walmart.  Then home for an hour and a half. Finally  Jerry and Sheila came. Then Sheila and I wentvto Safeway so we could make a new dish. Which turned out great. While we were cooking  Larissa came to visit and was planning on staying for dinner.  Decided to leave early.  We ate about 7.  Cleanup and done for the day about  8:30. 

Monday October 7, 2024, Shoreline RV Park, Eureka CA

 We got up about 7:30.  Breakfast and chores.  Started picking up and stowing everything for the 170 mile trip to Eureka.  We stopped for a potty break and another one for lunch.  We were stalling as we could not check in until two.  No problems at the California border crossing.  Once we got here and got set up we took a cartride.   Made BLT's will see Jerry and Shiela tomorrow.   Nice weather here.  Expensive park foe little value.

Sunday, October 6, 2024, Port Orford RV Village, Port Orford OR

 It was a beautiful day. Mild temps. We got up about 7:30. Breakfast and chores.e Watched some football.   Went into town to get gas. Drove down to the port. Then back home. We stopped at a gift store on the main drag called the Wooden Nickel. I made pigs in the blanket.   More football.  Finished the peacock. Got another project ready to start. Cartride.  Took the dogs down the farm trail let them run around.  Headed to Eureka tomorrow.
