It took us awhile to get out of Congress. We left about 9. We took 89 to 93 to 74 to 17 to 40 at Flagstaff. Then across 40 to Holbrook. It was about 276 miles. The gift store is about 20 miles out of Holbrook out in the tullies. We have electricity but nothing else. We got here about 3:30. We did not unhook. Dinner was steak salads. We sat outside for awhile . Dishes then finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Tonight is our last night here. We are pretty much packed and ready to go. Steve got in a huff about work camping. Which mind you we never discussed. I was just what was happening. Then he gets in a snit because he is not getting his way.
Anyway we were up early. I got an early start with the laundry. I was done by 11:30. Then home for lunch which was Quesadilla made by Steve which were not great. I put away the clothes and remade the bed. Otherwise I pretty much read all day. I am anxious to go and get somewhere new. We had Betty¹s chicken enchiladas for dinner. I dispatched the dishes then it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
We had a rather quiet day in the Campground. We got up and started to go walking about 8:30. I barely got across the street and realized I was going nowhere fast. My back was giving me fits. I think muscle spasms. Steve had to finish walking the dogs. It seems to be better as the days wore on.
Steve took a rather long motorcycle ride. I sewed and started putting away the sewing room. Then Steve came home and we took a trip to town for groceries. Came back and put it all away. I tried the shrimp scampi for dinner. Dishes and it was finally time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Happy Easter. I got out before 8 for my walk. Took care of chores. I started sewing but I didn't get very far when Steve decided we should take a ride to Bagdad . We were planning on getting a late lunch. The two places in Bagdad were closed for Easter. Duh. Then we decided to go to Bashas deli. Steve had burritos and I had a salami sandwich . We parked in a shady spot to eat it. Bagdad is a mining town and that's it. We came back and checked out the Ghost town in Congress. Then home with a stop at the dog park. We came home to a very hot house. We hung out for awhile then BBQ'ed our steaks. I sat out for awhile as it was nicer outside than inside. The the usual TV and cuddles with the dogs.
We got up at 8 and rushed out the door so that we could sit outside and wait for Nichols West to open. We had a nice breakfast. We came home and I rearranged our camping schedule . We will not leave here until Wednesday April 7th . Then we hung out. I sewed and Steve did a little carving and knife sharpening. Steve went down to the office to install the maps on our new garman. He dropped me off at the dog park and I walked back. It was hot here all day. I continued to sew. We looked at a house for sale but it had already been sold. Then we went up to Yarnell to check out the garmen. Then waffles for dinner. I did the dishes. We sat outside for half an hour then it was time to go our separate ways for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Well today was better than yesterday. Steve calmed down. I got up and ate breakfast. The dogs and I walked a mile. They did their thing. It was hot all day. I sewed and almost finished the pillow covers. Otherwise we just hung out at the rig. Life is much calmer here after Casa Grande. We ran the generator to cool down the rig. We decided to change our plans . We are staying here til the 8th now due to high winds in Holbrook. We won't go to the park in Tejaris NM. We will still be in Palo Dura TX on schedule. I walked almost another mike about 6. Not as fun as walking at Casa Grande but still feels good. We BBQ'ed hot dogs for dinner. Dishes then we actually sat outside for awhile and I finished another book! Finally it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
Well today was not a good day. Steve woke up in a snit and stayed that way all day. I don't even want to be around him. He is being an asshole. We set out on the walk and he turned around with the dog and left Hazel and I. Never said by. He remained in a snit all day. I promised myself I would not by into it but I finally had enough. I got quite a bit of sewing in. Steve sulked most of the day. Slept to irritate me. He went to Big O but they could not help with the alignment. We signed up for the Grand design rally in Plymouth in September. Ishmael's will be there. We drove to the Post Office. came back. Went to Screamers for dinner. We drove around Wickenburg Ranch. We came back to the dog park. There was a guy out there sitting who had no dog. Very odd. Then home to chill and finally fight. Then it was time for TV and cuddles with the dogs.
