Another long day. We were rolling out at 8:30 as planned. Breakfasted and chores done. Dropped the motorcycle off in Cameron Park. The back to the yellow house as planned. Due to the power turnoff the Girls were home from school to keep company with the dogs. Lindy and Bill picked up us at 9:30. We drove out to the airport area to take our Amazon tour at 10:45. It was mind boggling the way they moved the items from place to place. The robots are giant shelving units on rumba like "robots". They place items on them at random then store them then pick. Next is packing and finally shipping. This distribution center is a sorting plant carrying items that can fit in the yellow cartons. The havec4 million unique items in the warehouse. There are 16 thousand pods. The tour lasted an hour . Then we jumped in the car to go to lunch at Cracker barrel. The waitress brought our lunch out on a tray . She was jostled and all the food and plates crashed to the floor. There was broken dishes and food everywhere also they had to redo our lunch. We ate the food. Once the area was cleaned up the busboy came out to collect stuff from surrounding tables. Once his tub was full he dropped that in almost the same spot as the waitress dropped our lunch.
We drove back home to the yellow house. Picked up the dogs and the truck and went to get a new battery. Found out we need to have the old dead battery with us. Went to get the motorcycle. Then drove back separately to the rig where the electricity was still out.
Spent most of the rest of the evening off and on with our new friends two doors down. At 8 we returned for TV, sewing and games.
