It has been really cold here. It was 30 degrees out this morning when we were walking to shrinking. I was cozy in my down vest! I didn't do well I gained back most of what lost last week.. I weighed in at 209 on the dot.
After that hoofed it back to the rig and got ready to go shopping and selling advertising for the directory. It was frustrating because people were not where they were supposed to be. One person's ad didn't make it into the directory last year.
Came back and had lunch. Then off to Paul and Shirley Heebner to play Five Crowns. We were done at two games but they are very serious about their game playing. We played three games. Steve killed us on the last game..
We came home and I sewed for awhile.
We grilled burgers for dinner and I went without the bun. Then I decided to make the pinwheels for the blocks of the week. Then I finished sewing the fleece quilt into rows and will get that out of the house. I only have to sew the rows together.
Steve decided to do some wood burning while I was sewing. At least he took a break from snacking.
I think Steve I getting tired of me going off to sew. I think that he is insecure and not used to me having someone smelled to play with. I normally am around the house more. In three weeks I will be back to normal and he is anxious to start planning the rest of our trip. He is most likely getting hitch itch. So I will be staying closer to home after tomorrow.
A normal finish to the day up on the bed watching TV.

Another busy Wednesday. Up around the usual time and took care of the chores. I sewed most of the morning and almost finished 4 bowls. Then off to coloring and block of the week. Brought home some blocks to sew for a kids quilt. Another Betty project for my agenda. Home by three and finished up my bowls. Then fed the dogs and warmed up the tamale pie for our dinner.
At six we went down to Bingo where we spent a couple of hours dobbing our bongo cards. No wins for us. I doubt we will win in the next three bingo nights.
Alan goes in for hernia surgery tomorrow. Hope all goes well. Steve continues to snack uncontrollably. I wish he could find it himself to ease off the snacks. I hope it doesn't take a heart attack to give home a wake up call.
TV , shower and games to finish off the evening.

Well I am behind tonight I have all my Yahtzee games to do. I finally figured out how to turn off the notifications sounds.
We got up early and prepared for a day of sewing.with Betty. Steve went to carving as usual. Betty and I worked in the sewing room aka garage till almost two.we made project bags. All went well except one mitered corner when sewing on the binding. I am happy with how it turned out. Steve came home early of course to check on us. He made his own lunch. I guess he saw how much l spent at the quilt show. He made some comment about having to mail LaWanda her elephants.
Betty and I drove over to JoAnn's and I got the batting for the flannel quilt.
Came back and dropped Betty off. Then back to the rig for an hour or so before we left for Taco Tuesday. We had a great time there. We headed for home around 6 and I worked in the sewing room for awhile.
Then up in the bedroom to do the handwork on the project bag. TV and game for what little is left of the evening.

We are on the downward slide to moving to Congress. We are just three weeks and two days from leaving. I will definitely miss this place and all the people here. I will definitely miss Betty. She is one in a million. Love her to death. Two peas in a pod.
We got up to more crappy weather however it is even worse in Placerville and Coaraegold.
We left at a reasonable hour for our pedicures. I had to take my shower this morning so I could shave my legs before my pedicure. Loc did not let my toes dry so the polish came off on my left big toe. Oh well I usually wear socks and my hammer toe rests on it. Then we went to the nut and bolt place and stopped for lunch at Church's Chicken. Still think KFC has them beat.
Back to the rig to get ready for coloring. Got there and the music from the zumba class was too loud so we moved over to the Craft room. The wind has been blowing quite a bit. Not too cold today but blustery.
Came back to the rig and worked on the project bag cutting out some materials. Then a quick dinner.
The Michael Paul who is a ventriloquist and comedian. In his last act he picked three people from the audience and Steve was one of them. He used the people as human dummies. He was very good. Some people from Grass Valley came up and introduced themselves. We chatted for awhile before walking back to the rig. Washed the dishes and retired to the bedroom for TV and games.

We woke up to rain this morning. It is supposed to get much cooler this week. Got up and prepared for the big biscuits and grave breakfast. It was really fine and Wally brought a potato dish which was like scalloped potatoes. He had never had biscuits and gravy so he pinged out.
Everyone helped cleanup and everyone was gone by 11. Then Betty and I went to the sewing room till about 4:30. Larry drove us to the sewing room since the Teryx was incapacitated due to the rainy weather. She remained trapped.
When I got home Steve was already watching the Superbowl. So I busied myself in the sewing room also known as the garage or eating salon..
We had sandwiches since neither us was hungry. Steve because he over snacked and me because we had such a big breakfast.
After dinner I spent some time watching the game then back to the sewing room for awhile- then TV and games.

We had a pretty relaxing day . We got up late. Sophie let us sleep through the night. I used a different blanket and didn't take hers. I was excited about getting started on all the fun things I got at the quilt show.
We ate breakfast and piddled around the house. I delivered cookies to Ron and Linda 'Betty and Sandy.
Did a little sewing then walked with Larry and Betty down to the Clubhouse for a hot dog lunch. Then we went pur separate ways. Steve went to horseshoes, Betty went to shuffleboard and I went to work. Steve took a big platter of cookies to horseshoes. I vacuumed the back and mopped and swept the kitchen and bath. We cleaned out the back so we will be ready. Steve came back from playing horseshoes and took me to Walmart to get a few things. Then back to make Tamale pie. Dinner ran late then dishes. Then more sewing on the flannel quilt. Final pick up of the back and time to head upstairs to watch TV and relax.

Another day of fun stuff. We up and out the door at 8 am. Bright and early. The Nances walked down to meet us and we took off our first stop at the cracker barrel. We had a nice breakfast then headed out to the Arizona State Fairgrounds in Phoenix. We got there shortly after 10 as scheduled. The guys dropped us off and we headed inside. It was crazy but fun. I ended up not getting the patriotic kit but getting a line of fabric at the Twisted Scissors. And also a kit. Spent way more than I planned but this will last me for the rest of the year. The guys met us in the parking lot and we hopped aboard and headed to Chandler for lunch at Barros Pizza. The Pizza was great.
Then we made tracks for the rig at Casa Grande. We drove up just as Sandy was walking the dogs. So she and I took them over to the dog run.
She came back and cuddled the dogs. We ran into Betty as we were coming back. We all decided to go to Dairy Queen later. They decided they were going to go to In and Out Burger first. So we decided that we would join them.
We stuck with our decision that we don't really care for their food. It was cheap but you get what you pay for. After our burgers we went to Dairy Queen for a splurge. That was fun. Now back on the straight and narrow.
When we got back I made a double batch of chocolate chip cookies. The mixer was working very hard. Missing my Kitchenaid Mixer. So when we came back from Dairy Queen I baked them all waiting now for the last batch to come out of the oven. Steve says they are good.
