February 28, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

This is our last night at Fiesta Grande.   It was a warm day.  People were out and dressed in summer clothes. We were up rather early and went right to work. But not before I took an opportunity to jump on the scale.  I was dismayed to find that it read 209.2.  The only thing that is shrinking is my clothes!
Steve continued to be  in frenzy to get everything put away.  We took a Teryx ride to the office.  We checked on spot 438 but to no avail.  So we will stick with our current spot 433.  About 10:30 I decided to do the laundry.  Went over to LaCasa laundry  and put the clothes in the washers and soap then realized 3 of the 4 washers were out of order! So I pulled the clothes out and headed over to the clubhouse laundry.
Spent two hours at the laundry and called Steve to come pick me up. Back to the rig to unload the laundry.  Ate a quick snack then went down to Betty's for a last visit.  Sandy came over and we all sat there for a couple of hours and complained about our husbands.  Steve came down finally and sat out and chewed the fat with the guys.  At 4 we headed back home and I took a shower.  Steve dumped then we had a quick bite.  Finally Del called and we were able to put the Teryx on the trailer. He seems more relaxed now that the trailer and the Teryx is taken care of.  He gets so worked up over the stupid Teryx.
I must have pulled a muscle in my back.  Hopefully it will be ok after I ave slept on it.
It will be sad to leave here.  Hopefully we will have as much fun at Congress.

February 27, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

This has not been one of our better days here. It started normally enough but the we went to H&R Block to have the taxes figured.  We have to pay again to the federal but should get some back from the state if they can get the the return files.  I then met Sandy and Betty at Walmart. We did our shopping and I came home and fixed lunch and took off for the the quilt meeting.  Spent 45 minutes there and went to coloring  said good bye to friends.  Then back home.  Poor Steve was in a snit by then .  He did all this work by himself.  Poor baby.  Lucky him he got to work on his carving tho.  So then he proceeded to be compelled to put away everything he could find.   We have a whole day tomorrow to do this.  We have all our projects put away so no hobbies tomorrow.   Just laundry and put the final touches on packing up.
He decided not to go to Bingo and Sandy and Alan decided not to go as well.  I considered not going but decided I might as well since the master was probably going to wallow the rest of the night.
I am very concerned how hard it is for him to move around.  He has to sit and rest after a short amount of exertion.  He does have a stuffy nose and has started medication the relieve the nasal congestion.   Anyway I fixed a quick meal meal and jumped in the Teryx.  No wins.  Home by 9:15  the walk the dogs and back in the bedroom  for  TV and games.
I will be sad to leave but anxious for something different.

February 26, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

We had a very busy fun filled day.  We got up early more early than usual.  Steve took off to carving picking up Alan on the way.  Betty picked me up and we headed off to JoAnn's and PM Quilting. Steve wasn't home yet so I started sewing .  Steve was supposed to be home at 11 am .He ended getting here about 11:15 same time as the Heebner's.  I quickly walked the dogs the we went for a great lunch at Creative Cafe.  Then they dropped us off here.  We visited with the dogs then took the Teryx to their house for a couple of games of Five Crowns. Shirley talked nonstop but she just keeps saying the same thing over and over.  She takes her cards very seriously.   Home around 3:30 to walk the dog then off to Taco Tuesday.  Great visit and a sad good bye to all then off to Dairy queen for an ice cream treat.  .  Finally home to finish sewing before we started packing up.  Trying  get everything done before we leave on Friday.  Time is drawing really short.

February 25, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

Finalky a nice day.  The day started out early. I me Beatty out in front of her place in the Teryx.  We headed over to the sewing room and set to work as soon as we opened the door and signed up.  I put the green crazy quilt together. Back and front and batting were spayed and glued down.  We arranged the tiles on the BOW quilt.   Several people came and went in the sewing room.  Including Sandy with a parting gift.  A set of pastel gel pens.  About noon Steve called me out to the Teryx to get the keys to the Teryx.  He had the dogs.  I told him that we were planning on leaving in 15 minutes.   So he grudgingly drove around til I got everything shut down in the quilt room.  I thought he was going on a motorcycle ride but he was hesitant to leave the dogs.  Which is utter bullshit.  Guilt trip .  Came home for a quick  lunch .  Then I met Betty and Sandy for a quilt trunk show.  Interesting.   It's called quilt in a day.
We learned about magic binding.  They had specialized rulers  and book.  Maybe next year I will be ready  next When I came home Steve had found the nerve to leave the dogs for a short motorcycle ride.   I sat with the dogs for awhile.  Took them for walk.  Then a little bit of  sewing.  We ate leftovers for dinner.  Then I went up to the bedroom and finished the handwork on the quilt i was working on.  Now back to regular nighttime activities.

February 24, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

Our time here draws near.  We took off this morning for Costco in Gilbert about 30 miles away.  We blew through Costco but not before we spent $413.00!  Fortunately we were shopping on their dime.  We actually got some cash back.  We headed back about 11:30 and stopped in Coolidge to wash the truck.  Then lunch at Canes to try out their chicken fingers.  Stopped for propane and back to the rig.  Put all the groceries away., did a Teryx run and hobbied our way through the rest of the  afternoon.
Then Jim and Sharon Yates whom we met through the Etezls picked us up at our rig and we went for dinner at Anaya 's.  Pretty good food.  They picked us up about 6 and  left here about 8:30.  All in all a fun evening with new friends.  Then TV and sewing to finish off the day.  . They will be back in site 522 beginning 12/1 same as us God willing.
Next week will be very busy trying to cram all our activities in before we take off for Congress.

February 23, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

The big event today was the quilt show. We got as usual and I made a big breakfast.   At 10 we went down to the clubhouse and saw all the wonderful quilts displayed.  We wandered around  for about an hour and a half.  Then back to the rig where each messed around with our projects until it was time to go to Harbor freight and Joann's.  Steve went to Harbor Freight while Betty and I picked up a few items at Joann's.  Back home and more project while we waited to go pick up the quilts.  The sun finally came out and we took a Teryx ride.
At 5:45 Shirley and Jon Wally and Leslie and the McCrumbs and Nances went to McMashers for our Farewell dinner.Sandy and Alan came later and paid for our dinner  It was very nice .  Larry acted like he was very cranky it seemed.  Fun time had by all.  Back to the rig  for some much needed R and R.

February 22, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

Another cold day here in Arizona.  More rain today. Stayed about45 degrees all day.  The sun was  shiny but the temps were icy.
Up at the normal time.   Steve was insistent that the laundry get done so off we went to the laundry.  We went to the one near the clubhouse. 23 machines.  Done about 11:30.  Was going to the early bird open house.  Checked it out and decided that it wasn't worth the time to bother with.  The snacks sucked anyway.  One lousy chocolate chip cookie.  Guess we are lucky it isn't snowing here.
Back to the rig with the laundry.  Then back to the clubhouse to turn in our quilts.
I decided to trim the quilt here in the trailer instead of doing to the sewing room.  Once that was done we hung out for awhile before taking off for the Goodwill and Safeway.
Came back and sewed the binding on the flannel quilt.  Just have the hand work to do!
Then dinner TVand games.

February 21, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

Wow I stayed in the trailer all day today.  Steve went to carving as usual. I didn't go to shrinking but I did get on the scales. I weighed in at 207 so I basically stayed the same. I was up .6 of a pound.    I need to get back to my walking as I need to form up and lose some inches.  The dogs feel like they need to lose some too.  Hazel is a little chunky. I started sewing after I did dishes started a roast in the crock pot, and got the clothes ready to take to the laundromat.  I took the dogs to the dog park about 11:30.  Then the rain started right after lunch and hasn't stopped since.  I mean it poured all day.  10:30 and it is still raining.   The water in the street is about 3 to 4 inches. About 1 I took the laundry down but every one thought it was a good day to do laundry. Thought we would come back later. Since it was so miserable our it coukd wait till tomorrow.
So I decided to make some chip or candy bags.  Got 8 cut and ready to quilt.  Will see how that goes.
I used all three yards of vinyl and had a near miss on one bag.  Will need to get more before I leave.  Steve will love that.
Didn't see Betty all day.  Too miserable to run down in the rain.
Steve seemed to enjoy having me to hang out with today.  Things are getting back to normal.
I worked in the back til about 8 then moved into the bedroom  for TV and games.
I took the dogs out before I went upstairs.  Had to carry them over to the wall and Hazel had to be carried throughout the water puddles.  Sophie walked through the puddles and the Finally went pee.

February 20, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

Rather laid back day today.  I came close to finishing the flannel quilt.  Paul and Shirley came by to check on us since we were not at the meeting and bingo last week.  Once the left I sewed some then we had lunch.
Steve decided that we should run errands including going to Walmart.  We got propane and cash.  We stopped at Casa Grande Postal to get a box for the Elephant for LaWanda and Alan.  I didn't go to coloring.   I will have to go before we leave to say good bye to everyone.   Things are really winding down.  Hate to say goodbye but looking forward to new adventures. I wonder what the temperature is going to be in Congress. Still very cold here.  Should start to warm up just as we leave.
We made a quick dinner and went to bingo.  As usual we did not win.
Home to walk the dogs and shower.  TV and games before bed.

February 19, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

This was a very laid back day.  We got up at the normal time- breakfast and chores.   Steve went to Carving.  I worked on my quilt.  ] worked till Steve came home.  Had a quick lunch then back at the machine. The Machine I have is not geared  for working on big quilts.  Anything that big or bigger will have to go to the longarmer.
We took the pups on a Teryx ride and invited Lexie to come with.  The three of them did very good.
Went to Taco Tuesday to celebrate Alan's Birthday.  Took him a card and Sandy brought a cake.
Things are rapidly winding down.  We are planning a last hurrah dinner party at McMashers a local bar and Grill.
But we made our reservation for next year.  Already looking forward to it.
Sewed for awhile then TV and games.

February 18, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

We just got back from Glen Campbell Tribute show.  It was really great.  A little too much theater but all in all it was great.  Betty and I sat in the front row and sang along with the songs.  The Singer sand right to me.
The day started out with  a road trip with Betty  in the driver's seat.  Betty drove Sandy and me to Joann's where we shopped till we dropped.  Then over to PM quilting.   Sandy wanted to stop at Fry's .  Then we came back and dropped Sandy off as she wanted to go to coloring. Then Betty and I went to Walmart and enjoyed shopping without the pressure of someone waiting in the car for me.
We didn't get home until 1.  I got already to try and quilt the the log cabin quilt.  Really hard  to get that quilt in my small machine.
Then Steve decided to take the Teryx and register for another season at Fiesta Grande.  Then we came back and got the puppies.  We continued our ride around the park.  We went by the Yates and chatted with them for about 45 minutes and got to see inside their trailer. Back to the trailer. I did some quilting and Steve helped Ron take down his fence and unload it at his house park model number 764.
Then back to the rig to have dinner and get ready to go down to stand in line for the show.  And a great show it was.
Back home to watch TV and prepare for another fun day.

February 17, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

Another fun and busy day at Fiesta Grande.  I got bust early after morning chores. I started on the second to the last border on the crazy quilt. Betty got home about 12:30 and we packed up our goodies and headed over to the sewing room.  I put the log cabin quilt together and put the batting and back on.  We were bad girls and sprayed the quilt with 505 inside the quilt room.  Sandy came over and helped Betty tear apart an old quilt.  .
Came home and put the last row of the border on.  Then dinner and dishes .  TV and another day is over.
Less than two weeks before we leave this place.  We are getting ready to sign up for another tear here.  Will have something to look forward to.

February 16, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

It is not every day that we make a true friend. Sometimes that happens only a few times in a lifetime.   I think Betty is one of those people. I hope this friendship last for the rest of our lives.  I wish that our relationship was better with Larry.  He is very difficult to get to know. I am hoping that as the years go by he loosens up a bit.
The proposed date with Babe and J C. Fell through so I decided to sew in the back as Betty didn't feel up to going to the sewing room.  A friend of theirs is dying and he called them to say goodbye.   How sad is that.
Them later in the morning she decided to come up an sew a binding on while Larry played horseshoes.  Steve didn't play.  So she came over about 11 and stayed until 4.  I worked on a quilt putting  on borders while she did some hand stitching.
I quit and watched some TV with Steve and then fixed dinner.
Then TV and and games.  Walk the dogs.
While I was sewing Steve ran to Lowes, took the dogs to the dog run twice and took the dogs for a Teryx ride.   WOW!

February 15, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

Well Mr McCrumb got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.  We got up normally but it had rained.  When I got up at 7:30 the rain had stopped.  I wanted home to get out to the dog run while the rain was stopped.  So he got up to get dressed and slammed the bedroom door.  Then when took the dogs out he literally dragged hazel till she fell on the ground.
So I made bacon and egg burritos for breakfast and did the dishes.  Then Betty came up for some quilting show and tell .  We must have grabbed for an hour or more nine stop.  She left and I cleaned up the back so Steve could work in the back while I went to coloring.   After coloring  we checked out a room to play cards in.  Came in the house and Steve was on another roll.  I think he may have started a diet.  Anyway I said we only had 15 minutes  to get ready to start our Pizza night.  And he came unglued.
We were supposed to follow Larry but we led the way.  We had a good Pizza dinner but very few words were spoken going over.  Then we came back and went over to La Casa to play Mexican Train. And left right center.  The over to Betty's to have Cherry Crunch.
Back to the rig to walk the dogs about 9:30.  TV and games to end the evening.

February 14, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

Another rainy day in Casa Grande. Today marks the two week mark till we leave for Congress.   I will sure miss everyone.  But am looking forward to a new adventure.
A rainy Valentine's Day.  I got Steve a card but  no card for me.  Well last year I didn't him one.   We got up in time for me to go to shrinking.  I got up and jumped on the scale and I weighed in at 206.3. We went down  to the clubhouse and back and I helped Betty with our entries for the quilt show.
Then back to the house and I started sewing on my bingo bag.  We decided to run some errands and get a late lunch.  We decided to go to Flashback's in Arizona City.  It was ok but I don't think I would go there for a burger.  We had fish and shrimp.   Long ways to go for that .  We went to Harbor Freight then the quilt store. I really liked out.  They were out of the material I wanted and needed.  I found a bundle of fat quarters and they let me have just the one I wanted.  Then off to Flashbacks.  Rain all the way.
We came back for dessert at Scoops--another place I would  not frequent again.  Then a quick stop at JoAnn's and Fry's.  Back to rig to take the dogs out and put the groceries away.  Finally got back to sewing.  Finished my Bingo Bag and by pinwheels for the last Block of the Week.   Then TV and take the dogs out and a shower to end the day.  Looking forward to Pizza and game night.

February 13, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

We got up at the crack of dawn today to take an ATV ride with the Fiesta Grande 4 wheelers.  We drove out to the boonies about 15 miles east of Forence.  It was rather cold but bearable with three layers of clothes on.  Problem. No bathrooms out there not even porta potties.   So I didn't drink anything.  However my pouch needed to be emptied many hours before
.   Steve walked to the edge of the lake several times while we were out.  I waited until 4:30 in Coolidge.   So I went from about 7 to 4:30 without going potty.
It was pretty cool.  We were out from about 10 to 3:30.  Steve did all the driving  we went to Riker mine.  I did not go into the mine.
We had a good time but would not want to do it every week.
Got home and were welcomed back by the two pups.  Sandy kept them company while we were gone.  The house was still in one piece.
We has dinner then a few minutes in the sewing room.  TV and games for the rest of the night.
This was the first real ATV ride out in the desert.   There are a done of roads out there.  We saw a cow carcass laying out there.  Beautiful country side.  The roads were a challenge.   Steve said his arms are sore.

February 12, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

We had a very low key day today.  We got up leisurely.   Normal morning chores.  Steve took off for carving and I had two wonderful hours of quiet to sew. Steve came back at 11.  We went over and got the Teryx loaded on the trailer.  Then we ran to town to fill up on gas fill the truck and get more propane.  We went to discovery market and saw Larry and Betty 's truck parked at Boston's.  We came backed and I worked on my first solo quilt.
We went to Taco Tuesday as usual.  Jon and Shirley came with them and we got along fine with them.
Came back and worked on my quilt.  The center is all sewed together.   Now for the borders.
TV shower and the usual games.  We are taking the Teryx out for an actual ride tomorrow.   Looking forward to it I guess.

February 11, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

Today dis not turn out the way I planned.  Steve got up bright and early and prepared the trailer and yard for the walking of the rig.  I got my final haircut from Shelly.  On my way home I was assigned some errands.  I was assigned laundry and refilling of the water bottles.  Once I filled the bottles I headed over to the laundry only to find out that they were turning off the water for 2 hours.  Back to the rig to report in.
The trailer washers finally appeared at 11 ish and to the dogs dismay made quite a racket power washing the trailer .  I reached thousand trails and made reservations for Texas at Medina Lake and Lake Conroe.   The website is not very helpful.
Once that was done we ate lunch and I attempted to reorganize the craft/garage area and my storage chest.
Then we goofed it over to the UPS store to get the some things notarized.   They gouged us on the overnight delivery.  Then off to the car wash and a quick stop at Cal Ranch to check it out.  Steve bought some pants and shirts.
Came home and took off for the mailbox and laundry.  There more loads of clothes.   Once I put the clothes in the laundry I ran by Betty's then home and finally back to the laundry. Thought I left my phone at the laundry so the girls and I goofed it back to the laundry to verify that I didn't leave it there.  I stopped by the dog park and when I got back the phone was in the laundry bag.  It have to remember where I put things and quit panicking.   Once I returned home I made Mama's Chicken rolls for dinner.
Finally  I found some time to do some sewing .  The we finished up the remaining dessert from last night.  Then TV and games for the rest of the night.
Our time here is drawing to a close and there is still a million things to do.  I will really miss this place and the people we met here.

February 10, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

This was a crazy day.  We got up normally and ate and did our normal morning chores.  Then off to the laundry.   Started the machines but the one with the bedspread and blanket stopped due to being unbalanced.  The bedspread was still sopping wet.  So those had to be redone separately.   I was was unable to just run them through the spin cycle.  Anyway I still  have two more loads to go.  So back home to put clothes away ,do dishes, sweep and spiffy the house up.
Our guests arrived at 2pm. We chatted outside for awhile and grilled the meat.  We at inside and everything turned out well.  Then it turned out that some friends were also here in the park. Their names were Jim and Sharon  and are in site 522 here at the Park. So they came down for dessert.  They left around 7:30. Then they came inside and didn't leave until 9:15!  It was a really long visit.  I was beginning to wonder if they were going to spend the night..  They brought  their dog Riley Joy who is a Golden doodle and is a rather large dog.  She got along fairly well put Hazel kept he in her place by growling a lot.  They left and I did the dishes.  Now TV and game for what is left of the day.
Randy and Linda work at Sunshine acres which is a children's home which sounds delightful.   They are Volunteers there.

February 9, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

When is Arizona going to get warm?  It was cold and windy and overcast all day.  We got up and dressed and headed out to the Gourd festival at the Pinal County fairgrounds.   It was very interesting but I don't think I need to go back next year.  We toured the competition gourds first.  Their were some amazing entries.  I got some really great pictures.  Then we went through the vendors.  Steve went to Mountain Carvers and picked up a few items. We had a chocolate funnel cake at the fair.
Back to the rig after a quick stop at Petsmart.
Once we got back I filled out the paperwork and got info from the lienholders so that we can get the vehicles registered  in South Dakota. Steve was being difficult  since he did not want to do it.  There is some notary work that needs to be done.    I made the BlackBerry cobbler for tomorrow's dinner.  Then cooked a meatloaf for dinner.  I spent some time cutting fabric.
The trailer is becoming too small for the both of us and our hobbies.
It was the perfect night for Hot Chocolate.   So I made  some for each of us.  Went up to watch TV.  And when Hazel got up she peed on me and the bed.  I flipped out and sent her out.   I will have more than enough laundry to do tomorrow morning.   .

February 8, 2019 Fiesra Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

This should be written down in the annals of history.  I got up and dressed and Steve was still in bed! I took the dogs to the dog run while Steve made the bed.  Breakfast and morning  chores then off to the sewing room. Worked on that kids blanket and stayed there until it was done . I also finished block 5 of the block of week.  Only one more to do.   I did not want to bring the blanket  home.
Steve texted Steve Heebner and we made a reservation for 4th of July at Camp Cupcake.
Once I got home we made lunch and took off for Walmart.  Before we left Steve mentioned the charges from the quilt show.  To his credit he didn't blow his top as I expected  but I assured him that I was set for awhile.  However Betty is working overtime to fill up my dance card  with more blocks.
Steve suggested dinner at Chili's since the meatloaf didn't defrost.
Dinner was wonderful but way too much.  I think Steve just wanted to spend some time with me which I found very sweet.  He didn't want to hear from anybody especially Betty.  Is he Jealous?
After dinner we started planning our trip after we Leave Congress.
Then the usual TV games walk to the dog park shower and bed.
There is something really weird going on with the Shirley  Betty relationship.   I don't think she feels that we are good enough.  I will have to get to the bottom of this.

February 7, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

It has been really cold here.  It was 30 degrees out this morning when we were walking to shrinking. I was cozy in my down vest! I didn't do well I gained back most of what lost last week.. I weighed in at 209 on the dot.
After that hoofed it back to the rig and got ready to go shopping and selling advertising for the directory. It was frustrating because people were not where they were supposed to be.  One person's ad didn't make it into the directory last year.
Came back and had lunch.  Then off to Paul and Shirley Heebner to play Five Crowns.  We were done at two games but they are very serious about their game playing.  We played three games.  Steve killed us on the last game..
We came home and I sewed for awhile.
We grilled burgers for dinner and I went without the bun.  Then I decided to make the pinwheels for the blocks of the week. Then I finished sewing the fleece quilt into rows and will get that out of the house.  I only have to sew the rows together.
Steve decided to do some wood burning  while I was sewing.  At least he took a break from snacking.
I think Steve I getting tired of me going off to sew.  I think that he is insecure and not used to me having someone smelled to play with.  I normally am around the house more.  In three weeks I will  be back to normal and he is anxious to start planning the rest of our trip.  He is most likely getting hitch itch.  So I will be staying  closer to home after tomorrow.
A normal finish to the day up on the bed watching TV.

February 6, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

Another busy Wednesday. Up around the usual time and took care of the chores. I sewed most of the morning and almost finished 4 bowls.  Then off to coloring and block of the week.  Brought home some blocks to sew for a kids quilt.  Another Betty project for my agenda.  Home by three and finished up my bowls.  Then fed the dogs and warmed up the tamale pie for our dinner.
At six we went down to Bingo where we spent a couple of hours dobbing our bongo cards.  No wins for us.  I doubt we will win in the next three bingo nights.
Alan goes in for hernia surgery tomorrow.  Hope all goes well.  Steve continues to snack uncontrollably.   I wish he could find it himself to ease off the snacks.  I hope it doesn't take a heart attack to give home a wake up call.
TV , shower and games to finish off the evening.

February 5, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

Well I am behind tonight I have all my Yahtzee games to do.  I finally figured out how to turn off the notifications sounds.
We got up early and prepared for a day of sewing.with Betty.  Steve went to carving as usual.  Betty and I worked in the sewing room aka garage till almost two.we made project bags.  All went well  except one mitered corner when sewing on the binding.  I am happy with how it turned out.  Steve came home early of course to check on us.  He made his own lunch.  I guess he saw how much l spent at the quilt show.  He made some comment about having to mail LaWanda her elephants.
Betty and I drove over to JoAnn's and I got the batting for the flannel quilt.
Came back and dropped Betty off. Then back to the rig for an hour or so before we left for Taco Tuesday.   We had a great time there.  We headed for home around 6 and I worked in the sewing room for awhile.
Then up in the bedroom to do the handwork on the project bag.  TV and game for what little is left of the evening.

February 4', 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

We are on the downward slide to moving to Congress. We are just three weeks and two days from leaving. I will definitely miss this place and all the people here. I will definitely  miss Betty.  She is one in a million.   Love her to death.  Two peas in a pod.
We got up to more crappy weather however it is even worse in Placerville and Coaraegold.
We left at a reasonable hour for our pedicures.  I had to take my shower this morning so I could shave my legs before my pedicure.  Loc did not let my toes dry so the polish came off on my left big toe.  Oh well I usually  wear socks and my hammer toe rests on it.  Then we went to the nut and bolt place and stopped for lunch at Church's Chicken.  Still think KFC has them beat.
Back to the rig to get ready for coloring.  Got there and the music from the zumba class was too loud so we moved over to the Craft room.  The wind has been blowing quite a bit.  Not too cold today but blustery.
Came back to the rig  and worked on the project bag cutting out some materials. Then a quick dinner.
The Michael Paul who is a ventriloquist and comedian.  In his last act he picked three people from the audience and Steve was one of them. He used the people as human dummies.  He was very good.  Some people from Grass Valley came up and introduced themselves.  We chatted for awhile before walking back to the rig.  Washed the dishes and retired to the bedroom  for TV and games.

We woke up to rain this morning.   It is supposed to get much cooler this week. Got up and prepared for the big biscuits and grave breakfast. It was really fine and Wally brought a potato dish which was like scalloped potatoes.   He had never had biscuits and gravy so he pinged out.
Everyone helped cleanup and everyone was gone by 11.  Then Betty and I went to the sewing room till about 4:30.  Larry drove us to the sewing room since the Teryx was incapacitated due to the rainy weather.  She remained trapped.
When I got home Steve was already watching the Superbowl.   So I busied myself in the sewing room also known as the garage or eating salon..
We had sandwiches since neither us was hungry.  Steve because he over snacked and me because we had such a big breakfast.
After dinner I spent some time watching the game then back to the sewing room  for awhile- then TV and games.

We had a pretty relaxing day .  We got up late. Sophie let us sleep through the night. I used a different blanket and didn't take hers. I was excited about getting started on all the fun things I got at the quilt show.
We ate breakfast and piddled around the house.  I delivered cookies to Ron and Linda 'Betty and Sandy.
Did a little sewing then walked with Larry and Betty down to the Clubhouse for a hot dog lunch.  Then we went pur separate ways.  Steve went to horseshoes, Betty went to shuffleboard and I went to work.  Steve took a big platter of cookies to horseshoes.  I vacuumed the back and mopped and swept the kitchen and bath.  We cleaned out the back so we will be ready.  Steve came back from playing horseshoes and took me to Walmart to get a few things.  Then back to make Tamale pie.  Dinner ran late then dishes.  Then more sewing on the flannel quilt.  Final pick up of the back and time to head upstairs to watch TV and relax.

February 1, 2019 Fiesta Grande RV Resort, Casa Grande AZ

Another day of fun stuff.  We up and out the door at  8 am.  Bright and early.  The Nances walked down to meet us and we took off our first stop at the cracker barrel.   We had a nice breakfast then headed out to the Arizona State Fairgrounds in Phoenix.   We got there shortly after 10 as scheduled.   The guys dropped us off and we headed inside.  It was crazy but fun.  I ended up not getting the patriotic kit but getting a line of fabric at the Twisted Scissors.   And also a kit.  Spent way more than I planned but this will last me for the rest of the year.  The guys met us in the parking lot and we hopped aboard and headed to Chandler for lunch at Barros Pizza.  The Pizza was great.
Then we made tracks for the rig at Casa Grande.   We drove up just as Sandy was walking the dogs.  So she and I took them over to the dog run.
She came back and cuddled the dogs.  We ran into Betty as we were coming back.  We all decided to go to Dairy Queen later.  They decided they were going to go to In and Out  Burger first.  So we decided that we would join them.
We stuck with our decision that we don't really care  for their food.  It was cheap but you get what you pay for. After our burgers we went to Dairy  Queen for a splurge.  That was fun.  Now back on the straight and narrow.
When we got back I made a double batch of chocolate chip cookies.  The mixer was working very hard.  Missing my Kitchenaid Mixer.  So when we came back from Dairy Queen I baked them all   waiting now for the last batch to come out of the oven.  Steve says they are good.
