August 7, 2020 Neskowin Creek RV Resort, Neskowin 0R

We had a great day.   We stayed home all day.  We had a phone call from Shirley Heebner which surprised both of us.  We got up about 8 or I did .  Steve it was his turn to have a sleepless night.  I sewed and Steve carved off and on.  Steve had a long conversation with Dennis Wheeler.  He has stage 4 liver cancer and has been given about 4 years.  Hopefully it will be longer.  It was another beautiful day on the coast.  I got about half way thru my sashing of the blocks.  Lots of use with the seam ripper.   Tedious work with the seam ripper.  I made chicken roll ups for dinner.  Lots of dishes.  Then we sat outside by the fire with the dogs.   Especially the one who can no longer be trusted not to pee in the house. Finally it was time for TV and cuddles.

We got up at 8ish or at least I did.  We did our chores and got ready to leave for breakfast out.  Steve walked the dogs but of course she didn't do it the first two minutes so I took her out and she went for me.  It rained last night.  We finally went into the city for breakfast at Sambos.  It was Ok.  The omelette was rather dry and the sour cream was too late to do any good. Anyway we finished up and took the girls for their mani pedis.   Sophie was so excited she jumped right into my arms.  Until she found out where we were headed. Then a stop at Safeway.   Got the ingredients for some more hot chocolate mix.  Back at the rig I stated sewing and sewed till about 4.   Steve decided we should be registered to vote in South Dakota.  He wanted my CA license number which took my forever to remember.   Finally out of the blue it came to me.  B5309720.

Then I put the chocolate mix together.   Then I made dinner.  Watched our two game shows that we like and did dishes.  Then it was time for TV and cuddles.

August 5, 2020 Neskowin Creek RV Resort, Neskowin OR

It was a gorgeous day with endless blue skies. It lasted all day.  We got up about 8:30.  I guess Steve thought I should be up as he graciously (tongue in cheek) left the door open and turned on the TV.  I couldn't fall asleep as I was thinking about cousin Sally  and how she most likely won't be around much longer.
Once we got up and did a few chores Steve decided to take a motorcycle ride.   We decided to make some reservations for things after we leave Ponderosa in October.   No point in going back to POS .  We would have to into quarantine again.  There are no social activities no way to make friends.   Very heavily restricted.   Understandably but frustrating nonetheless.
After that I did some cutting.   Working on the sashing on the silver lining quilt.  We had a snack after Steve came back.  More cutting.
We BBQ'ed for dinner then I cleaned up.  Finally just as I was ready to relax upstairs Steve decided to start the out away process that included putting the back up dur to impending rain.
Finally after all that it was time for TV and cuddles.

August 4, 2020 Neskowin Creek RV Resort, Neskowin OR

We had a very busy day. We both slept til 9.  In fact I got up first.  We both had breakfast and  then decided to head over to Newport to take care of several errands.  We started out at Steve's fishing tour place to confirm a few things.  Then we took a tour of Whaler's Rest in South Beach where we will be staying next week. We scoped out several spots that we thought will work. Doubt that we will have satelite there.  Steve will have a hard time with that.  Then back to Newport proper. We had lunch at a Mexucan place that was mediocre at best.  Then we stopped at a bank for laundry quarters.   The quilt  store where there were dogs running around the store with bows on their neck. Our final chore was Walmart with  very specific things on the list.  Finally we headed home for a snack dinner.  We were both full from lunch.  Finally back to the rig by 4 ish.  We unloaded and stored everything away.  Dinner as I mentioned was a snack.  Then TV and cuddles.   With a hot chocolate break later on.

Well we left the dreaded ghetto park that we were in unfor the last two days. We got up at 8.  Steve it still miserable with his ear.  We left about 10:30  and took Hwy 22.  The disc brakes paid off.  Steve almost rear ended some guy.  If not for the disc brakes we would have crawled right up on some guys tail.  We arrived about noon then set up everything.   We ate lunch and went to Lincoln City to the local doc in the box.  They gave him some antibiotic drops and irrigated his ear.  Then we were off to Safeway which was a zoo.  I picked up his prescription.  Back to the rig for a quick dinner and then it was time for TV and cuddles.

August 2, 2020 Salem Campground and RV Park, Salem OR

I guess the computer work is ever changing. They changed the look and feel of the blog.  Anyway I got up and did the normal morning routine.  Steve's ear is really bothering him which probably why we had words. The mineral oil hasn't done much.  He may have to go to urgent care and have it looked at.  He took his temp this morning but it was normal.  I took the mounds of laundry to the laundry room.   The laundry was very clean.  Surprisingly.   That took until noon.  Then I sat and read 28 Sumners to the end.  It was a tear jerker.   It was predictable but still had a  hard time putting it down.  Dinner was egg sandwiches.   Finally it was time for TV and cuddles.

August 1, 2020 Salem Campground and RV Park, Salem OR

We had a very quiet day.   We got up and  did our normal morning routine.   I slept till nine ! Then we headed over to Walmart.  Steve asked me I wanted start looking at chairs for the main cabin.  However he followed it up by stating that we wouldn't be getting them any time soon.  And that's when the fight started.   So I stayed in the car while he went to Walmart.  We came back immediately.   I decided to mop the floors and he sat outside for several hours. I read and did crossword puzzles.  We ate a very late lunch and snacked on leftovers for dinner.  It is possible that I may have over reacted.  I hate the Campground where we are staying.   It is a ghetto.   Finally it is time for TV and cuddles.
