September 30, 2019 Ponderosa RV Resort, Lotus CA

Last day in September and it went out with a bang.  We went down to Kaiser to have our Labs done.  Once we did that we went for our flu shots.  Then we went down to Member Services to find out about our being canceled with Kaiser. When he found out that it happened when he changed his address at the county he had a melt down.  I have finally seen a grown man throw a temper tantrum.   We was swearing and cussing and of course it was all directed at me.  It was all my fault.  Fortunately I maintained my cool and basically just let hime erupt.  I suggested breakfast so he pulled in at a Subway.  I didn't want Subway for breakfast so I just said we will have breakfast at home. So he took off like a jackass.  We stopped at O'Reilly's as the car was low on oil.  We drove to the yellow house an picked up the chairs that came which I might add are still in the car.  Then back to the rig.  Needless to say it has been a very quiet day.  I fixed myself a bowl of cereal then started sewing.  Later Steve fixed himself lunch.   About 2:30 I took the dogs out then game back and continued sewing.  I sewed till 5.  Steve pouted and slept most of the afternoon.   I fed the dogs fixed steak salads for dinner and did dishes.  I asked him why he was mad at me.  He thought it was great that he was paying $400 instead if $2,000 for licenses.  But now that we have a glitch it is all my fault. We shared a Ben and Jerry's the I retired to the bedroom for TV with the dogs.  Steve is working himself out of his pique.   Hopefully  by tomorrow he will ne back to normal.  I am really tired of being his whipping post.
Tomorrow we go to the doctor for  our physicals and I expect a dressing down for my weight gain
I am not all the infatuated with Dr. Stewart.

September 29, 2019 Ponderosa RV Resort, Lotus CA

Another very busy day.  We got up with the chickens or Steve made sure if that as he constantly turns on the light while I am trying to sleep.  After chores we took off for Nikki's.   We had a wonderful breakfast with all the kids and their families.   We met Matt's other two kids Hunter and Savannah.
Once breakfast was over we hit the storage shed.  The kids carried box after box out of the storage shed.  We hardly made a dent in the stuff.  The girls went home with lots of kitchen stuff. Nikki ended up with Mom's silver.  Kind of surprised me that she would be interested  in it.  Becky wanted kitchen stuff.  We filled the small trailer to over flowing with stuff to take to the hospice.  We finally  called it a day around noon.
We made some great finds.  I found a whole bag of fabric I was looking for which will come in handy for pot holders and soup cozies. It is from JoAnn's and Walmart. I need found some insulbrite.  Interestingly enough I found two half yard pieces of material in my night stand which I bought in Wheeler OR in 2017.  I found my food storages containers , a new wrist holder for my Fitbit.  And several other things.
When we got home I made two batches of cookies from the dough we bought from Skye.  Did dishes twice.  Organized all the stuff we found.  We had meatloaf for dinner fortunately it was already made.  Finally it was time to relax with the dogs in front of the TV.
We are getting blood test in the morning.   Fasting blood tests so we will be off early to the lab.  I have a feeling  my thyroid is wacky.

September 28, 2019 Ponderosa RV Resort, Lotus CA

We had avery busy day today.  It was non stop work.  Steve when he decides to spend money he spends it like water. I had some projects lined up for the morning but put them aside so we could run down to Best Buy to checkout the laptops. We stopped by Big 5 and each of us picked up a new pair of much needed shoes.  Neither Best Buy nor Staples had anything to offer so we stopped by Patrick's to have him configure a computer for us.  The a quick stop at Safeway for some things to make the bisquits and gravy for tomorrow's breakfast.  Finally we returned to the rig.  Then my chores really started.  I defrosted the refrigerator which really needed defrosting.   Once that was done I purged a few things out of the trailer. Amazing what one collects even in the short time we have been in the trailer.   We ate leftovers from the chinese dinner for supper.  Then I made the gravy for breakfast.  Finally after all that I was able to finally rest and recreate in front of the TV.

September 27, 2019 Ponderosa RV Resort, Lotus CA

Well interesting day.   After breakfast and morning  chores Steve went out to carve and I decided to put fear aside and spray the Fiesta Grande Block of the week quilt.  I decided to spray the quilt and the batting  first.  I put a vinyl table cloth on the bed spread  which made made everything slip around like crazy.  Steve finally had to help me.  Sophie wa constantly underfoot.  Finally I got it .  Then I cut the material for the backing.  As I anticipated I had enough for a set of soup cozies and potholders.   We had lunch then I spayed the backing and got it smoothed dow.  Now I am ready to quilt it.
I took the dogs for a walk.  Then I cut out all the pieces for the cozies and potholders. 
At three thirty we went to Glendas and chatted with her and Tom.  Yom was under the weather  so the 3 of us went for Chinese. When we got back I finished cutting the batting for the cozies.  The off for TV and games. 
Not looking good for the doctor Tuesday.

September 26, 2019 Ponderosa RV Resort, Lotus CA

Steve was still in a grumpy mood when I got up and remained so for the rest of the day.  I weighin and was very disappointed  to weigh in at 215.7.  Wow.  That was a shock. I wonder if my Thyroid went wacky.  After we got up and ate breakfast and did our chores we headed over to Nikki's to swap the truck for the car.  We went dow to Safe and met with the loan officer and cleared up our questions. The house is in escrow!  No house payment in October. He had an ammendment to the original offer we had to sign.  We then droveviver to foothill dental so Nikki could sign then returned the paper to Mike then off to Walmart where I got some groceries and sandwiches from Subway. Then we went over to Costco.  We stopped at Nikki's and unloaded the meat for the BBQ next weekend.  The dogs and Steve took potty breaks. Finally stopped at Safeway.  We should be good for awhile.
Then back to the rig to put everything away.  We had Tacos for dinner.  Then dishes and TV and games.
It is so freeing to be unencumbered by the house and yard!

September 25, 2019 Ponderosa RV Resort, Lotus CA

We got up around 7.  Breakfast and morning chores.  Steve was so slow getting started I finally got dressed and took the dogs out.  We left about 9:30. We stopped at one rest stop.  We arrived in Lotus at 1:30 or 2.  We got set up in the heat of the day .  Steve was in a mode.  Not sure why but he was snapping at me every other minute.  We decided after hanging out at the Campground to grab a bite at Tom's.  On the way over Nikki called and suggested we meet at Casa Ramos.  So we all had a wonderful dinner there.  We went back to Nikki's to swap out the truck and use the car and use less gas while we are here.  Then back to the rig  for ice cream and TV.
On the way Steve made an appointment to have the motorcycle serviced.  Unfortunately the only time available was the day were leaving so we will leave on the 10th instead of the 9th. 

September 24, 2019 Rolling Hills RV Park, Corning CA

We got up and out the door by 8:15.  Dropped the rig at B&B to have the new air conditioner replaced ailer was ready.  and took off for a return visit to Vittles.  It was great.  Then we went to get haircuts.  The gal I had was so slow she reminded me of HairTyme in Placerville.   I had to coach her how to cut it.  Then we headed over to Walmart.  That's when a miracle happened.   I walked into the store and came back empty handed.  Hope that doesn't happen often.  Then we went to Blue Dog looking for some lubricant  Steve needed for the trailer.  We still had a couple of hours to kill until the trailer would be ready Simon we made quick trip over to the Sundial Bridge.   Or it would have been  if Steve hadn't made the wrong turns.we walked over to the bridge took a picture and went and sat in the truck til we got the call to come get the trailer. 
We drove about 38 miles to Corning and got a spot in the  Rolling Hills RV Park.   It is very hot here 100 degrees.  And very windy.  We got a knock on the door telling us we could have the power shut down due to fire danger.
We called the shuttle and got a ride over to the Buffet.  It was ok but I don't like buffets.  It was $20 bucks each.  I know I didn't that much food.
Shuttled back to the rig and down for the count.  T V and games.  The air conditioner works great.

September 23, 2019 Win River Casino, Redding CA

Great news the appraisal on the house came in just where we needed it to be.  $360k.  More that what I thought it would be.  Anyway we are headed down the right path. Now to the the closing scheduled. 
We got up way too early.  I couldn't sleep last night.it was close to 4 am when I finally conked out down stairs with Miss Sophie on my lap.  Steve came down at 6:30 so I went up for another hour.  Happy i known Steve was going to linger around til 11 i would have slept longer.  We finally left about 10:30.  We drove back over 299 just the same way we came to Ancient Redwoods.   About 216 miles.  We got here about 3 :30. This is a mini RV park.  About 18 sites.  Small dog area. 
I made steak salads and am ready to crash.  As soon as dancing is over I will  walk the dogs shower and hit the hay. 

September 22, 2019 Ancient Redwoods RV Park, Redcrest CA

Our last night at Ancient Redwoods RV Park.   Just prior to Jerry and Sheila driving us both over the edge nuts.  We got up leisurely.  Steve at 6 and me at 8.  We had breakfast then I gathered everything for doing the laundry..  The machines are not large capacity.  So 5 loads.  It actually went pretty fast.  I ran out of quarters so I walked down to the office and back.  Finished by 11.  Then  we had lunch.  Steve went out to carve and I was enjoying a movie.  I went  out to walk the dogs and I sat down for a minute and who should appear but the Stickney's.   And early to boot.  So I drug out cookies and potatoe chips and dip.  We roasted brats and polish dogs on the fire.  We sat out and watched all the rigs pull in.  The park is almost full. Unusual for a Sunday night .
We are still anxiously waiting on the results for the appraisal on the house.
We had to put the bike in as we felt some rain drops.  Steve was putting away things while the Stickney's were here hinting firvthen to leave but Jerry leaves when he is ready.  They finally left about 7:30.
Then dishes and TV.  Sophie continues to improve slowly.

September 21, 2019 Ancient Redwoods RV Park, Redcrest CA

Alone at last.  We got up and our of here by 8 going to breakfast at the Samoa Cookhouse.  For the price it didn't live up to its past.  I made better food than what we got there. We were done by ten.  We did run into a bunch of motorcycle riders from Folsom Hog.  Including Chuck Peridon.  We were going to get hair cuts but decided to wait until we get to Placerville parker's were not available to visit so were took the river road out to Shively and Holmes Flat.  Then back to the rig.  I decided to bake cookies.  All went well until the parchment paper slipped off the pan when I was taking them out of the oven.  I ruined all the cookies but 4 in that batch.  The worst part part is I binged on the goofs.  Omg.   Several batches got a little too crispy.  We ate a quick dinner which included more pasta salad.
Then we sat outside for awhile then came in for TV and games.

September 20, 2019 Ancient Redwoods RV Park, Redcrest CA

I got to sleep in this morning.  Till Steve couldn't stand it anymore and came in and turned on the lights.  I finally caved and too the dogs out for a walk.  At 10:30 we left for Sophie's vet appointment.   The Doctor was very nice. We actually got in early.  We had to leave her there so they could sedate her.  That could get better Xrays that way.  Then Steve and I went to the worst Walmart ever and picked up a few things.  Then over to Costco.   Finally to Taco Bell for a'quicky lunch.  The doctor called while I was in Costco to tell us the good news. No broken bones no torn ligaments.  No splints or surgery required.  We were able to pick her up by 1:30 after we paid $350.00. 

The we came home and  much to our astoundment our dinner guests arrive pretty much on time. We had Mary Wynne, John Johnson  and the Stickney's over for BBQ steaks.  They were wonderful.   Love Sheila and Jerry but continued exposure would drive a sane man to drink.  Sheila especially.  She just doesn't know when to shut up.  

The left about 9.  Then a pile of dishes to do. Finally time for TV and games.  2 days and we are out of here.  I haven't sewed all week.  Too many people to visit and things to do.
Still no word on the appraisal.  We are on pins and needles waiting to hear.  Thought we would hear sooner.  They came out right away but in results as of yet.  

September 19, 2019 Ancient Redwoods RV Park, Redcrest CA

I don't know why we visit the Stickney's.  They never change.  They continue to drive us both nuts.  It is fir old time sake.  They have really good hearts but they are insane.  They are hoarders.  They live in a pig sty.  We were up at the crack of dawn.   Breakfast and morning  chores and left for Stickney's by 7:30. I was a bad girl this morning.   I decided to give me a break and not get on the scale. Back on the straight and narrow next week.  We are waiting so much this week.   HD HD Picked them up and and got to Klamath right on scedule.  Poured ourselves into the jet boat.  It was a little over 2 hour trip.  We got sprayed a few times.  We saw a bale eagle and one if their nests.  The dogs stayed in the car.  We saw lots of different kinds of birds. We finished up about12:30.  It was a beautiful day.  Glad that we waited a day.  Then we headed north to Trees of Mystery  where we had a wonderful lunch.  Then we headed over to Stickney house to see their new flooring and furniture.   The floors looked great.  The rest of the house and yard look like a disaster hit.  It gives new meaning to the words slum landlords.
We changed our reservations for Ponderosa  and made new ones for next Monday and Tuesday.   Back at the rig Johnny pulled in behind us.  John and Mary will join us for a BBQ tomorrow.   We snacked for dinner.  We started TV early.  Kind of nippy out
Fall is definitely in the air.

September 18, 2019 Ancient Redwoods RV Park, Redcrest CA

We had a great day today.  I got up about 7:30 and did all of our chores. The Stickney's were die at 9 for breakfast but tru to form they were a half hour late.  We had bacon,,scrambled eggs, bisquits and gravy.  The usual.  I stacked the dishes in the sink and Sheila and I took off for Eureka. We stopped at Sheila's dentist, then her financial advisor then Starbucks--yum , then fun at the quilt store,  and finally Costco.  The back to the rig at 3 which was the time limit Steve gave me. He and Jerry hung out at the rig and stayed out of each other's hair. Sheila and I had a great time.  I did some much needed venting.  Around 4:30 we left for Garberville  for dinner at Cecil 's  New Orleans Bistro .  Pretty upscale for us.  Pricey.  Gastro pub.  On the way over about 10 miles from Garberville the rain came down so hard we could not see out the front window.  Did Jerry slow down. No siree.  He drives like a crazy person.  Thank God Steve is driving to the boat rides tomorrow.
The appraisal  was today.  Anxious to find out the results.

September 17, 2019 Ancient Redwoods RV Park, Redcrest CA

Nice day on the coast.  We did some visiting as usual.  After breakfast and morning chores we headed out down the Avenue.  We started in Redcrest.   We stopped at the Redcrest resort and found some wind breakers at a good price. Steve met the owners at the rally.  We made some phone calls then headed to Weott where we made a trip down Steve's memory lane.  Steve wanted to visit Tim  Mendes in Garberville but we had to settle for his son.  Sylbil Louis though she claimed she wanted to see us and provided contact info couldn't connect as she wasn't well.  Then since I know Steve wanted to see Dennis Wheeler is nephew by remote marriage.  So we decided to take a drive out to his pot  farm.  We grabbed a bite in Fortuna at McDonald's  then headed out 36 to the other side of Bridgeville.   At mile marker 34.08 we turned down a dirt road and went 1.92 miles.  Dennis run a very profitable pot far .  We were so excited to see him that we didn't see Sophie jump out of the truck.  She started screaming.   She injured her leg and is limping pretty bad.  We will keep an eye on her and evaluate her status in the morning.   We stayed for about an hour .  Dennis was drunk and drinking when we got there.  We toured the farm in the boonies.  Then left.  We ended up going to the Safeway in Fortuna .  Then home.  Steve reluctantly BBQ'ED brats.  Dishes then TV.  Waiting for the final episode of Bachelor of Paradise.

September 16, 2019 Ancient Redwoods RV Park, Redcrest CA

We were up early to put the finishing touches on packing up.  At nine we said our good byes and took up by 9.  Our plan was to head up Hwy 36 . As we started up the road we saw a sign that said the road was closed.  So we quickly turned the rig around and attempted  to get on five to Hwy 299.  Unfortunately we turned left instead of right and we were forced to make yet another u-turn.  We traveled about 216 miles not including wrong  turns.  We stopped for a potty break and  another stop for lunch.  We got here about 3pm. We started setting up and John Johnson showed up for a visit.  We sat and visited for little over an hour.  Then we finished setting up and had dinner.  Just as we settled in fir watching TV Jerry and Sheila showed up and we visited with them for over an hour.  Finally they left and we resettled into our nightly routine. 

September 15, 2019 Durango RV Resort, Red Bluff CA

The rally is over for this year.  We were the lucky ones this time. We won again at the give away.  We got a nice folding table.  We got up normally and did our chores.  Then we goofed it over to Shari's for breakfast.   It was ok buy my omelet was rather dry.  We walked back and I decided to make pasta salad for the potluck which we will be eating leftovers for a very long time.  Then we walked over to the craft fair.  Not much to report there. 
Spent the afternoon doing the handwork on the quilt.  Steve went to a seminar on clubbing the RV. Went to the potluck and  said our goodbyes.   That is where we won the folding table.  Came back sewed and watched TV. Most everything is packed and ready to go in the morning .  Rain and cooler weather tomorrow.

September 14, 2019 Durango RV Resort, Red Bluff CA

Today was a red letter day. We won the 50/50 at the rally. $567.00 . We never win stuff and we won the money.  Steve was in 7th heaven.  We got up at the crack of dawn to attend the breakfast which was quite good.  Pancakes bacon and sausage.  Then we checked out the demo models which was very nice but no sewing room. Then off to a seminar on trailer suspension from Moryde.  We have decided to go with the independent suspension.   And have it done  in Indiana.  So another trip East.  Whatever the master wants.  Back to the rig and off to the grocery store.  Food Max is not and never will be my favorite place to shop.  Came back and put the cold stuff away and we dashed off for the drone pic.  It was so hot. We came back and had lunch.  Then I just sat down to sew and Steve wanted me to go to the next seminar on stabilization .  We ended up buying 2 chocks, heavy duty.  Finally I sat down to sew and was able to get the binding on Lyllie's quilt.  Now for the handwork.   Then after we fed the dogs we had a belated anniversary dinner at Casa Ramos.  It was yummy.  After we stuffed ourselves we went to the block party.  They had a really great cover band there .  We took the dogs which was a mistake.  They kind of freaked out when the music started.  Steve took them back to the rig.   We actually  got up and danced once.  We left at 9 and came back to the rig for TV.

September 13, 2019 Durango RV Resort, Red Bluff CA

Day 2 of the rally. It is hot here. We got up and did our morning ritual and chores.  I fell asleep downstairs last night with my heated eye mask on.  We were up at 7 ish.  We walked down to the club house where we listened to a q and a  from Grand Design and Blue Dog RV.  Back to the rig.  We drove to a nearby taco truck where we enjoyed street tacos and met Jim and Carmen from nearby Anderson CA.  Then back to the rig.  Steve went to  JC Mooney's seminar on fire protection.   I started  sewing Steve carved when he returned.   .  At 4 we went to a seminar with Henderson Line up.  We are still vacillating between the independent suspension.   The IS would take us back to Indiana next summer.
After the seminar we went back to the rig, took the dogs for a walk.  They were sure anxious to get to the dog park. Then we picked up our chairs and made a beeline for dinner.  Larry and Norma let us put our chairs in their wagon.  Dinner was provided by Blue Dog RV.  Oh Nikki signed all the papers for the house today and paid for the appraisal.   Fingers crossed that the appraisal comes in where we need it to be.

September 12, 2019 Durango RV Resort, Red Bluff CA

Our first full day at the rally.  We got up at normal time.  I jumped on the scale as I normally do and weighed in at 209.7 down a pound and  down two weeks in a row. We breakfasted and did our morning chores.   Steve decided he was going to tighten the u bolts under the trailer.then he upgraded the sensors on the tire monitors.  We had an early lunch then went down and registered for the rally.  On the way back we chatted with the Performance brake dealer. We may go a different direction other than independent suspension and a whole lot cheaper.  Slipper springs and shocks. The guy even has a place for us to park at his place in Sutherlin OR while he installs the Springs and shocks.  Came back. I decided to finish the book I was reading.  We finally got the table down for sewing and the machine set up. Then we went down to the rally center for a dinner of BBQ coleslaw and bread.  Ice cream sandwich for dessert.  Jeret definitely no comedian though he thinks he is.  They had the usual giveaways but we did not win anything as usual.  Back to the rig and  sat out for awhile then into the rig for our normal TV.

September 11, 2019 Durango RV Resoort, Red Bluff CA

Wow another incredibly boring day.  We got up at the crack of dawn to take the rig to B&B in Anderson for the brake repairs.  We got there just as they were opening At 8. It took well over an hour to do the intake.  The we went to breakfast at Vittles which was a decent place to eat in Red Bluff.   We had to go back to the repair place to give them a key which they told us they didn't  need.  Then we took off for a 3 hour ride to Burney Falls.  We paid our $10 and took three pics.  We then turned around and came back.   We got back to the repair place around 1 only to find out that we not only needed the bearings packed but new brakes and rotors.   The problem was they couln't get them for  2 to 3 days.  But then a miracle happened and they were able to find them locally at a reduced price.  All the while Steve is in the truck throwing a hissy fit.  I finally  shamed him into apologizing to the new clerk.  So we sat at Gander's  for 5 plus hours.
At five they were missing two seals.  So they went and got those.  Steve thought he was going to get out of there for 3 to 4 hundred.  Again with the naivety.  1500+.  At six we were finally done.  We quickly drove back to Durango.  The good news is that the people in 163 left last night.  So we were able to get into 163 so we won't have to pick up and move again tomorrow.   We were done setting up by 7.  We hustled  over to  the ice cream social.  They were showing  The movie RV with Robin William's.  We opted out of the movie and came back to warm up the left over Pizza.   Once that was done it was TV and games for the rest of the night.

September 10, 2019 Durango RV Resort, Red Bluff CA

We finally left the dreaded Lake Minden and headed to Red Bluff.  We were finally ready to depart about 10:45. We had to go to the parks dump to clean out the sewer .  Unfortunately the honey wagon was dumping so we forced to wait our turn.  The trip was 98 miles and took about 2 hours.  We stopped once to potty.  We got here just after one.
We got a spot next to our assigned spot for the rally which means we will have to move.  We won't unhook tonight or tomorrow.   For some reason Steve wanted to take the pun out.  But we finally got things bare bones set up.  We grabbed a bite to eat then I prepared to get the laundry ready.  We took it down on the trolley since the truck is still set up.  Steve naively thought he could get quarters with a credit card in the office.  He was totally out of cash.  So instead of coming back to the trailer get cash he hiked over to the grocery store and got quarters.  So I got the laundry  done by about 5 .  We ordered a pizza which they delivered.  Then we joined the Taco Tuesday people to visit .  There were early birds rally people there.  We stayed and chatted for awhile then came back to TV and games.  The weather here was very comfortable.   A welcome relief after Minden.  And we have 50 amp service so we can use two air conditioners.   Life is good. 

September 9, 2019 Lake Minden RV Resort, Nicolaus CA

Today was a work day. After normal morning chores Steve washed the truck and trailer.  I put my sewing stuff away and vacuumed out the front of the truck. We put the motorcycle in the back of the trailer so we are very close to being ready to pack up and leave in the morning. We took a lunch break. Finished the clean up process.   We spent the rest of the day watching TV and hanging out in the trailer.
We had left overs for dinner.  More TV for the evening.  We leave tomorrow!
Called the insurance company for the truck and found out we were owed over $500.00.  Steve totally missed that yet he has a fit if I spend $30.   Go figure.

September 8, 2019 Lake Minden RV Resort, Nicolaus CA

Well another trip to Sac.  Left here about 10 and stopped to visit Becky and the kids.  It was a very nice visit.  Skye will be 15 in November.  We left there at noon and went to Jim boys  for lunch.  The overto the house to fill out the paperwork for the house.  We ate sitting on pins and needles to see what it appraises for.  Then we met the goats-Sugar and Spice and Cocoa. The back to the rig.  I got the quilt sewed together.  Ready to pick up everything tomorrow.   We had a snack of cheese and salami on a cracker and fruit.  Then TV .  Definitely ready to leave this place and head out for Redbluff and Durango.

September 7, 2019 Lake Minden RV Resort, Nicolaus CA

Busy day today.  Got up at a reasonable hour.  Breakfast and chores.  I sewed and Steve carved.  The weather was very nice.  First fairly cool day here and we couldn't stay here to enjoy it.  We left for Placerville about 12:30.  We stopped for gas and Michael's for paint.  Today was Betty Nance's anniversary.   We stopped to visit Stephanie and her gang. We went to Placerville to sign the house contract.   One problem we left the paperwork at home.  So we went to Placerville anyway.  We hammered out the deal and had a great visit.  Annibelle cut her hair short.  The house and yard look great although they trimmed the cedar deodorus  way back.  It has a huge trunk.  We had a BBQ.  Got our I e cream fix at baskin and Robbins. Then we drove back .  We got a note that our auto insurance was cancelled.   After some digging we discovered it was an old policy.   We may be due some money.  Steve is starting to worry me.  He isn't taking care of business like he should.  I think he thinks he is on a permanent vacation. I guess I will have to secretly oversee things more closely. 

September 6, 2019 Lake Minden RV Resort, Nicolaus CA

Three days and counting.   I will be so glad to leave this hell hole.Steve took off at the crack of dawn for his breakfast clutch.  I got up about 6:45 had breakfast and got dressed.   Took the dogs out for a walk.  Took Hazel forever to do her job as usual.  Then I took on the task of spaying Lyllie's quilt.  Then I started sewing the flannel blocks together.  Steve got home about 11:39.  He made a lot of phone calls regarding the loan balance.  It turns out we only ow 34,600 which is a lot less than what I thought.  We lounged around the house trying to stay cool.  The hours between 3 and 6 are the worst.  We BBQ'ed Iowa chops for dinner.  Then dishes and TV for the rest of the evening. 
 

September 5, 2019 Lake Minden RV Resort, Nicolaus CA

We got up at the normal time.  Jumped on the scale as usual.  210.7. Going down but not fast enough. Did morning chores.   I was able to finally get my quilt squares layed out on the bed.  I left the pillows off to give me more room but Steve thought I didn't finish making the bed and put them on.
After that was done I took the dogs on a long walk.  We left for Folsom about 11.  We made a false start as Steve forgot his checkbook .  We arrived in Folsom about noon despite the false start.   We ate hamburgers at Five Guys prior to meeting with the Lender.  Nikki  was a bit early.   We met with the Lender and found out we need to pay off the y green loan.  We also had to fill out the purchase agreement.   So we each left with things to do.  We stopped at the house looking for mail and documents.   Then a stopped in Lincoln for groceries.   Back at the rig we unloaded everything and put it all away.  Then Steve sweated over all the paperwork looking for figures on the y green loan.  Hope we can still make the sale.
Finalky at 7 we ate fruit and crackers for dinner.  TV and games to end the evening. 

September 14, 2019 Lake Minden RV Resort, Nicolaus CA

And yet another hot day today.  This heat is really getting to me.  I got up lots of times to pee .  Very unusual.  Up at the normal  time.  Got dressed and took the kayak out .  We left around 9 and were back just after 10.  I knew it would be a short trip.  We dropped off the mail.  Parked the truck and carried the boat to the floating dock.  Fortunately we were alone. I got in the back seat as usual.  When Steve tried to get in he just about capsized the boat.  He desperately tried not to out me in the water.  He fell off into the lake and the water almost came up to his waist.  I had to get out in order to dump all the water out of the boat.  Then we finally got underway.  We rowed over to the beach.  We got out and switched places.  Back in the boat and we rowed towards the other end of the lake and back to the dock.  Switching places was a real good idea.  It gave Steve more leg room.  Anyway if we were in the lake a half an hour I would be surprised.  Carted the boat back to the truck and we were done for the day.  I sewed until lunch and Steve carved.  Then kuch and haug out and sweated. 
Dinner, and TV.  I tried laying out the quilt blocks but I was having a hard time figuring out the design  and sweating like a stuck pig I gave up. 5 more days and 6 nights and we leave for more hit weather in Redbluff.
We go the lender on the house to sign some papers and get the title switch going.   It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

September 3, 2019 Lake Minden RV Resort, Nicolaus CA

Happy 14th anniversary to us.  I guess I am as usual the only one celebrating. For whatever reason Steve is incapable of putting himself out to be romantic  or celebrate Birthday 's or holidays  or Anniversaries.
We got up as normal and had breakfast.     Then Steve took the truck to get new tires on the front of the. Truck.  And Walmrt.  I stayed at the rig and vacuumed and mopped the floors.  Then it was time to walk the dogs then sew until Steve came home. 
We ate lunch.  More sewing.   I decided to take the dogs to the dog park.  Steve said he would come to.  From there we decided to take a drive and check out the great ride the new tires gave the truck. 
Came back for some more sewing.  We BBQ'ed chicken .  Steve got corn on the cob for him..  I don't know where he puts all the food.  Two chicken thighs , two corns, asparagus,  now a whole bag of popcorn,  a popsicle.   And the list goes on.
Another wonderful anniversary.   TV and dishes for me.

September 2, 2019 Lake Minden RV Resort, Nicolaus CA

Another miserably hot day.  I got up just before 8. By 9 Steve got pissed off because he was getting ready to take a snooze rather than take the dogs for a walk.  How long do they have to go out and potty.  So he walked them for about 5 minutes. I refused to engage with him.  He went outside to carve. 5 minutes later he was joined by his new best friend Joe.  They chatted for about 3 hours until Steve came in for lunch.  I cut out a flannel quilt I bought at the Quilt show last winter.  After lunch I sat and read the rest of the afternoon and sweated buckets.  Steve did some painting.   Then steak salads  for dinner.  Finally it was time to go sit in the bedroom under the air conditioner.   I hate the heat!

September 1, 2019 Lake Minden RV Resort, Nicolaus CA

The beginning of a new month.  I got up about 8:15. We had breakfast and did our morning chores.  Then I finished sewing on the borders of the quilt I was working in and prepared to put together the back.  About noon we had lunch the took a small jaunt to Lincoln to get some food for the dogs.  Petsmart in Lincoln.  Back home .  More sewing.  Then some guy wanted to check out the Momentum.   He got on his soap box for well over an hour.  On and on.  I think he just wanted someone other than his daughter to talk to. 
I walked the dogs but Hazel had already pooped in the bedroom.   Not sure why this is happening. 
Fixed dinner and  back up in the bedroom for TV.  Hair wash before bed.
