The last day of June. The tear is half over. We got up and were underway br 8:45. It was a long boring drive. We stopped twice. We lunched in the backyard of a service station. We arrived in Suoerior Iowa about 3:1 . Steve and Tammy were sitting on the side of the road in Superior when we got there. We followed them home to camp Cupcake.
We said hello to everyone and caught up. We BBQ'ed hit links for dinner. Then back outside to catch up on the year.
Finally at 10:30 we came back in for some screen time.

Wow it was really hot all night long. The long awaited trip to MSQC happened as anticipated. We got up and did morning chores.. I was still getting dresses when Gracie and her daughter Jennifer arrived. We chatted for awhile then drove 11 miles to Nellie's country restaurant. The price was good but the food was Mediocre at best. Then back to drop off Steve we drove the half a block to the quilt stores. It was fabulous. We went to each one. We spent about 3 hours.
It was wonderful.
We came back and Steve and I went to get quarters for the laundry. We came back and did two loads of laundry.
We then went to J's Burger Dive. It too was only ok. But we had ice cream after which was yummy.
I am recording my purchases and am working on getting a hobby allowance.
Back to the rig to fold clothes and the watch TV.

I was up until almost 3 finishing a Kendra Elliot book called Merciful promise. The last in the series. We were up and ready to take off by 8:30 a half hour earlier than planned.
We got on Hwy 13 and too it all the way to Hamilton which is out in the tulies. The whole town is the quilt store. We traveled about 225 miles today . We arrived about 2 stopping for one potty break and one gas/potty/lunch break.
We got aet up and we both took a long nap. Weather is still hot and muggy.
We ate all the left overs in the fridge for dinner. A walk for the dogs then up to the bedroom for TV.

We leave tomorrow for Hamiltin MO. We got up rather late at least I did. I jumped on the scale as usual. I was pleased to see it at 206.6 down 1.7. I need to continue the downward trend. We did our morning chores and I sewed for a couple of hours til it was time to leave for our 12 noon reservations at the College of the Ozarks Keeter Center. All the students are required to work 16l5 hours a week at various work stations and 1 40 hour a week per semester in exchange for their tuition. If they work during the summer break they get room and board as well. The food was excellent and the service was first rate.. we took a shirt tour if the campus including a mill where I purchased some bisquit mix. Then we ran a few errands and came back to finish picking upand preparing to leave. We are just about ready to go. I made BLT's for dinner. We sat outside til the bugs drove us inside. Now TV and games .

Well we fought WWWIII last night. Steve neglected to get the info to Citibank in a timely manner. He went ahead and submitted it . They said they would review it. I hope that it wasn't just an automated response. So Steve was in the warpath big time. It spiralled down big time. Lots of things were dredged up about money. Some deep scars were revealed. I said alot of things, he said alot of things. It was scary. Had trouble sleeping.
Woke up this morning to Steve pulling out all the paperwork and the computer and printer. He spent several hours documenting the case for Citibank. I ate breakfast and waited for Steve to get out of the way. Things are not back to normal but we are working on it. I definitely have some issues to work as does Steve. I finally finished the potholders. I also finished today's block. "The Courthouse" did not really care about this block but it was fun to make. We BBQ'ed a chuck steak today. We ate about 5. I sewed awhile longer then dishes and up to the bedroom for the usual TV.
Steve updated our resume on the Workkamper website. It has threatened rain all day but so far nothing.
I called DirecTV's and got our bill reduced significantly. Kudos to me.

We had a rather mixed day. We did ho aee Reza as scheduled. We got up about 7:30. Steve did apologize last night but I was still bummed about last night.
We got through our morning chores then Steve went out and carved and I did some sewing on those blasted potholders. I could not remember how I did the first one. There was some frustration.
I suggested we not pay $500 extra to discover till we recover from the Springs fiasco. Of course he we dead set against that. Anyway before we go to the show we had another blowout.
So I think he was overstating our position. Again. I know he exaggerates our finances when he gets stressed.
Anyway the show was great as always. But it was the same show that we saw in Sedalia last year. I thought that it would be bigger and better in his home stage.
We came home and BBQ'ed sausages and had left over potatoes salad. Steve carved and I sewed. Worked on the potholes and soup cozies. I just have the final stitching on the potholders.
Then TV and games.
Hazel continues to not eat her kibble. Not sure what the problem is. Did they change the recipe. Is she upset about the occasional firecracker. Not sure what her problem is. She sure likes the fresh pet food.

Hazel iscon a hunger strike. Sophie is right behind her. The both decided not to eat their kibble. I don't know if they changed their recipe or what. So last night I gave her some little cheese niblets and some chicken liver treats which she gobbled up quickly.
Steve got up first and he obviously wanted me up as he turned on the lights and left the bedroom door open. So I think it was 7:30 when I got up. I tried to sleep once I went out in the front but of course that was not going to happen either.
We decided to get our shopping done early. Steve took me to Branson quilts which he told Betty on Facebook that I could not go.. but it turned out that they only had machine made quilts. No fabric. Then we went to Walnart and I picked up a few items. They only had black raspberry drinks. Then we went to a regular grocery for produce. We dropped off a bunch of stuff at the thrift store. Steve got rid of at least 4 shirts. I made nine stop at the Pet store to get some dig food that the girls would eat. He threw a fut as I knew he would.
We put the groceries away then ate lunch. Steve carved most of the afternoon and I sewed. It was our afternoon to play by ourselves. Steve I knew is looking to have a fight. He can't watch boxing on the satelite as that Satellite is blocke . We can't watch Last Man Standing, Gunsmoke and Family Feud. Also he is trying to quit snacking at night. So far he hasn't cut back on his portions at all. So I knew he was about ready to boil over.
So we BBQED early and were done with dinner and dishes by 7. I suggested we got outside and sit since we have very few nights that are nice to sit out.
Steve was moaning about how poor we are all due to my wants. Then he asked me if I planned this from the moment we met. How ludicrous is that. If I was a gold digger I would not be married to Steve. We sat for awhile more and I tried to explain that once the house sells we would have more disposable cash every month. Of course he made some remark about having more for me to spend. I just got up and walked inside. Of course we are not speaking which is just what Steve wanted. He has to unload on me instead of addressing the issues.
Finally TV in the bedroom with the dogs.

Kim Ishmael 's Birthday. It has rained quite a bit today and most of last night. Big booms came from the sky. We got up around 8. By 9:30 I was down at the laundry with the machines running. It was pretty cramped in there with another camper doing laundry. Since I don't have a HD detergent. I had only had three machines available to me. Any way it was almost ine when I finished with the laundry. I put the clothes away and ate lunch. Then did some sewing. We went down and had ice cream at the social at 4. We got tickets for Reza. We decided to go to the blue eye for burgers. Unfortunately when we called to place the order they were not open until Tuesday. So we decided to go elsewhere to grab a burger. Steve wanted to go to Taco Bell which I hate. So we ended up at Culver's. Then we drove over to the Branson favorite theater wherecReza will be playing on Tuesday at 2 . We also checked out the Blue Eye. We made a plan to go Missouri Star Quilt Co in Hamilton with Gracie and her daughter on Saturday the 29th.
Hazel is being a pill about eating still. Not sure what her deal is . I think she wants to graze instead of having a distinct time for meals. She has me very confused.
Then the usual TV and games.

We had a total chill day . We got up late (8:30) and hung out around the rig all day. We were both exhausted after yesterday 's long drive.I set up my sewing room. I made my Main street blocks Movie Theater. We were kind if keeping an eye on Hazel. Age is acting really weird . She seems fine but still is not crazy about eating. Right now she is on the hunt for flies. They seem to really be bothering her. I made steak salad for dinner. I made a potato salad for tomorrow with BBQ ribs we are having. Finally dishes and TV. While listening to it thundered and lightning. Very muggy out there.

Today was a hard drive. We drove about 350 miles in about 8 hours. We were up at 6 and on the road by 8. We ended up not dumping as he pulled up on the wrong side of the dump station. We loaded the bike and we were off. We stopped for two potty breaks and I stop for lunch. It was hot every where we stopped. We arrived shortly after 4 and got our spot. We set up quickly and took the dog for a walk. Hazel appears to be ok but refuses to eat. We ate a quick dinner of spaghetti then I was able to finish my book number 5 in the Jack Ryder series. Then up to the bedroom for TV. So much less stressful when it it cool in the house.. love that 50 amp.

We got up leisurely and did our morning routine. I got on the scale which has now become a Thursday morning ritual. I weighed in at 208.3. If nothing else that club got me to be able to get on the scales without fearing it. I used to dread it but now look forward to getting on every Thursday.
Hazel didn't want bananas . She seems to have a bug of some kind. No vomiting,,no diarrhea. Then we made some reservations and changed our plans. We are going directly to Turkey Creek for a week. We jumped in the car and took off for Memphis. We checked out Beale Street and the Statue of Elvis. We checked out Graceland and his airplanes. And the mammoth Guesthouse Hotel. We stopped at a waterfront park along the Mississippi. We went over some bridges. Then a stressful trip to Germantown to a Petsmart. Then a Walmart, Dollar General and Family Dollar in Bolivar. We stopped for gas at a place called Yopp's in Middleton which sold subs, pizza , and was a Baskin Robbins. So of course we indulged ourselves. The scoops were huge so of course we didn't want much for dinner. I made BLT's for dinner. Steve got us ready to take off in the morning. I did dishes. Then upstairs for TV and games. We did turn on the generator so that we could run the air conditioners. It was much better. Of course when we turned off the generator the TV did not reboot correctly.

Wow what a day. We slept in later but not as late as the day before. Whatever was bugging Steve yesterday was not doing it today. We didn't have very far to go so we didn't leave the park until 10 :30. We took the rural roads and drove about 115 Mike's. We arrived about 1:30 with one potty stop. We didn't pack a lunch. We got to the park and had to wait at the ranger station for a ranger. They were very nice and took us to a pull through spot a so we could have 50 amp service. We half way hooked up and found we could not get satellite service. So we packed up and moved. They do have better cell service here but not by much.
We began the set up routine. Steve has been telling me that we need to put checks under the tires whether we think we need them or not. So he forgot to pick up one in the first spot and he ran over it and broke one. He failed to put one in at the second spot. So we had the blocks under the front. As soon as the trailer came off the hitch it rolled off the blocks and dropped on the truck. Steve says we will need a new truck bed.
Anyway once we got set up we were sweating like stuck pigs. We haven't stopped. We tried running the air conditioner but we blew the 50 amp circuit breaker. So no air. We drove around and checked out the reat of the park. It is really run down. The sites are on the small side. They are over grown with weeds and have tree limbs hanging down over them. The laundry has 2 washers and 2 dryers. They are worn but it is clean.
We finally BBQ'ed the steaks which Steve swears were pork steaks.
We sat outside and decided that we din't really need to see Graceland. We are going to try to extend our stay at Turkey Creek in Branson. At least we can have air conditioning there.
Back in the rig to sweat some more. I cut out my pieces. for the "movie theater" block. Won't get to sew it until we get to Turkey Creek. We will try to cancel Arkansas place and spend a week in Brabson.
The TV and games.

Wow surprised we have enough service to bring this up. It has been a very quiet day. Especially since Steve decided he was not going to speak to me. We both slept into 9 am. It rained most of the night. We had breakfast and Steve wanted to pack up the back. I wanted to sew. He made some comment about not selling the house and war started. I decided not to engage so it continued all day. I sewed for about an hour and half until I reached a stopping point. I picked all my stuff. Steve reminded me that we would be doing it all tomorrow. But I wasn't going to put it out again. I put the plastic back on the windows. Then we sat on our specifics ends of the couch and stared At our phones.
About 1 pm we got in the truck and went to Hohenwald via Napier Lake. It was really pretty. We topped off the truck and I did some shopping at Walmart. Back home we went still on silent maode..
I finally finished the book I was reading. Steve ate a major lunch anot 3:30. I made taco about 5:30. So the he spent the rest of the evening eating.
I retired to the bedroom for TV and games.
Finally the horrid day is over. Oh he finally got up and finished picking up the back and Put the bike in just as I knew he would. So predictable.

We had a very busy day . We were both up early at 7. Our plan today was to visit the Parkway between the Meriwether Death Site and The visitor center near Tupelo. Thirty Mike's south Steve decided to get gas in Collingwood. Back on the Trace we stopped at the Colbert Stand (site of an Inn ) along the way. At another stop the tire minder went off. Steve tried to put more air into the tire with our compressor. The air pressure was down to 26. Steve got it up to 36. I found the closest tire store to the Trace. It was 25 Miles away. So with a wing and a prayer we followed the GPS to Iuka. We had only 14vlbs of pressure in the front driver's tire. They took us right away and we were on our way in 20 minutes. The culprit was a broken valve. Tightened the valve. I told Steve the pressure was only at 66. We stopped along the way for lunch. Then a stop at the Visitor center. We turned around and headed back up the Trace. We decided to take a side trip to check out an Army Corps of Engineering park at Bay Springs Lake. We really liked it and may come back some day and check it out. Also some of their other parks might work out as well. While we were looking at the park the tire minder went off. We decided to take another side trip back to the tire store in Iuka. They tightened the valve and added some air and we were on our way again. We made our way back to the trace. We went through several torrential downpours.
Back at the house we ate leftover breakfast for dinner. I did dishes before retiring to the bedroom for TV and games.

A very unusual Father's Day. All the kids were heard from except David were heard from. David was not really raised by Steve. We got up around 7. I got up and made Steve biscuits and gravy bacon and 3 eggs.
I made the bed, did dishes and brushed my teeth and made the bed. I read for awhile then I decided to sew. We turned on the generator so that we could run both generators. I walked the dogs. I was swearing as I sewed. We were listening to American pickers around 1:30. I said to Steve something about seeing Antique Archeology in Nashville. Steve asked me if I wanted to go today. So we grabbed some drinks and off we went. It was an hour and a half drive. It was over 90 when we got there. We were there less than a half an hour. I bought Steve a Harley shirt at the Harley shop. Then we tried to find the Grand Ole Opry. Betty decided that she wanted to chat. Sophie was a nervous wreck and I was trying to help Steve navigate. Betty always seems to chime in when I am trying to help Steve drive.
After doing a drive by at the Opry house we headed home. We grabbed a pizza in Columbia. Then back to the rig to eat it and relax in front of the TV. Fun and games. Very hot and humid here
