June 14, 2019 Natches Trace Campground, Hohenwald TN

Well back to not enough service so back to the paper and pen . We are way too dependent on the internet  but what can you do.
We got up at 7:30 later than Steve wanted to but perfect for me. We got ready and were on the road by a little  after 9.  Steve had a hard time dumping cause it was all uphill.  He also spent some time talking to the neighbor who as it turns out are buying the park.  They may be interested in some work campers.
We drove about 270vmile to our next stop which was Hoheneald TN  on the Natchez Trace parkway.  We were anxious rmto fet our spot since it was Friday of Father's Day weekend.
There was a small incident on the freeway.  We were all forced to move to the outermost left lane due to a car fire.  Some redneck would not let Steve in.  Steve flipped him of .  The guy stopped in the middle of the freeway and started to get out of his car.  There was some yelling.  Finally he got back in his car before it totally escalated.  Thank God no guns appeared. It could have ended very differently.
Once we got on the trace  the GPS failed us. It wanted to take us on a road that had a low clearance bridge.  We ended up calling the park for directions on e we found service.
The place is out in the sticks.  I guess that is why they call it a wilderness preserve.  We are now on central time so we gained an hour .
We found a spot right away.  We have a bare minimum of cell service but we have good satelite reception.  We unhooked the truck and trailer then went thru the park to see if we liked another place better.  Nothing poppedcso we kept the one we had..
Once we got set up we made dinner.  Breakfast.  Then I mopped the floors including the garage.  We shook out the rugs and set up the back somewhat.  We only have less than beat 30 amp so we can only run one air conditioner. We opened all the windows.
Dishes fmgot done. We shared the pecan Bear claw which was disappointing at best.  I wasted all those calories on something that was blah.
Finally TV and relaxation.
The front stairs are so steep it is better  to use the back door.
