May 31, 2019 Bass Lake RV Park , Dillon SC

Another day if driving for Steve. We drove 269 miles from Jesup Georgia to Dillon South Carolina.  We made two stops at rest areas one for a potty stop and one for a much break. We were on Highway 95 most of the way.  We arrived here about 2:30.  Nice place.  We have out satellite back and functioning properly.   Large grassy spots which are pull thrust.  We are here for just two days the our March north continues.   Tomorrow we will check out Myrtle beach.  We got set up quickly and got inside out of the heat.  Fed the dogs then went out for dinner at Mr. Bojangles which is kind of like KFC
We came  back to the rig and started normal night time routine.  I walked the dogs before it decided to rain. of course there was thunder and lightning. Then it poured for about 5 minutes.  .

May 30, 2019 Mossy Oaks RV Park and Campground, Jesup GA

We traveled about 259 miles today and it was hotter than hades.  We drove straight up 95 most if the way and turned on 25 to finish the trip.  Steve got me up before 6:30.  But was glad to get going before it got any hotter.  I got on the scales this morning and was disappointed to find out that it  read 209.8.  I should never have put new batteries in it.  Guess I will definitely have to start watching it.  I had terrible gas pains when I got up but eventually it subsided.  We got here about 1:30.   We had our lunch in the trailer once we got settled.  We didn't unhook.  We don't have satellite and cannot get the DVR to work.  Hopefully when we have satellite tomorrow it will be OK. We will most likely have to get customer service at Direct TV involved.  Steve refused to call in so we are without satellite or recorded TV tonight..   I finally got all my packages delivered.   One more coming.  Thanks to the crew at POS.  Will have to make the some cookies or something. I spent a lot of time reading and trying to stay cool.  Except a short walk to the pond we stayed in the house closed to the air conditioner.  Fortunately we have 50 amp service and can run 2 air conditioners at the same time.  We are back on the road again tomorrow.

May 29, 2019 Space Coast RV Park, Rockledge FL

It is our last day here.  We leave in the morning.
Everything is pretty packed and ready to go.
We got up and I made French toast with the rest of the bread from Steve's Family Diner.  We hung out at the house until about eleven then headed out on errands. We stopped at Harbor Freight in Cocoa.  Then Great Clips for a much needed hair cut.  Then Tractor Supply ending with Lowes .  Steve was looking for a tool chest.
We came back to the rig and relaxed for awhile the I took the truck all by my self and drove to the nearby Publix to do the grocery shopping all by myself.
I came back and we put away the groceries.   Then dinner and we made some reservations for the Labor day weekend.  Finally TV after fishers and walking the dogs.   I am adding a few more pics yesterday.

May 28, 2019 Space Coast RV Park, Rockledge FL

Only one more day here.  It was a good one.  Hot and humid.   I am afraid that leaving here will not change the hot weather.   We will have to get to Colorado for the weather to make any significant change.  I was ready to kill Sophie.   She woke me up in bed about 5 am by walking all over me.  So I got up and went down stairs.  She followed me and continued to Pester me.  Finally she must have got up and traded places with Hazel.  We got up about 7 and left here at 9:30.
We drove to the airboat rides and met the girls there.  The ride lasted just an hour.  The boat was bigger than the one we took last time.  The water has also receded so he was unable to get into certain places.
I actually held a small alligator.   I can see why they use their skin for purses. It was very soft.
After that we went to the Dixie Crosswoods which lived  up to its reputation.   But I was so full I refrained from having dinner.
After lunch we stopped by LaWanda and Alan's and said our goodbyes.  They seem different.   We were not able to spend much time with them.   It gets kind of tiring  listening to Allen brag about how much this and that cost.   He considers himself a rich man.  They live a pretty crappy lifestyle for rich people.  Any way after that we took a side trip to go see the manatees swim about 10 miles out of town.
Then we headed home to get the dogs who were very glad to see us.  I finished some sewing projects then organized everything and cleaned up my portion of the back and  under the bed. We finished travel plans for the month of June.  Steve ate some left overs for dinner. I walked the dogs. Hazel upchucked her dinner.  I went up for TV and games.

May 27, 2019 Space Coast RV Park, Rockledge FL

We had a great day at Kennedy Space Center with Leah and Sandy.  Not our favorite people to pal around with but we had an OK time.  We  got up and out of the house at 8:15 much the the dogs dismay.  We met Sandy and Leah at the Police Hall of Fame.  Then 6 miles down the causeway at Merritt island to the visitor center.  We bought out ticket then headed over to the bus tour which took us out to the Vehicle Assembly Building or VAB.  There is a 200 foot flag one side.  The blue area is as big as a professional basketball court.  Largest single story building in the world.  Stars are 6 ft. Across.  The statue of Liberty will fit inside with 200 feet left over.   Yankee stadium will fit on top with room left over for parking.   The launch pad  is out there as well as the moveable launch pad and missile carrier.   Once we got out to the museum we saw a couple of movies and toured the building.  They had a missile and a spacecraft there.   We had lunch at the orbit cafe then we went to the IMAX theater and saw a great movie.  Finally we went to the Atlantis exhibit about the making of the shuttle craft.  We went our own way and headed home first taking a swing through the gift shops and stopping for ice cream at the milky way ice cream shop. There will be plenty to see if ever go back.  It was very hot outside and very humid.  We never made it to the river with the Rannals group.  We came back and collapsed.   Later I sewed for awhile the fi

xed us egg sandwiches.   Dishes then walked the dogs who had to stay behind for 8 hours by themselves . Finally TV and games.

May 26, 2019 Space Coast RV Park, Rockledge FL

Two days down and two to go before pack up day and we are out of here.  Steve was already at the computer when I got up.  He didn't look like he would be ready to take the dogs out anytime soon.   So I took them.  When the hubbub of printing was done (why it couldn't wait until I left for the laundry I don't know.   We took the clothes and sheets down to the laundry.  Two and a half hours later I  was done. Back home dumped the clothes and we were off to LaWanda's for the BBQ.  Hamburgers and hot dogs and side dishes.  We firmed up things for the trip to the Kennedy Space center tomorrow.   We talked for about 3 hours then back to the rig.  Sewed fir awhile after Steve  helped me put the sheets back on the bed. Then Steve and I went to Ginger and Garlic for Chinese dinner.   Then back to the rig for TV and games.

May 25, 2019 Space Coast RV Park, Rockledge FL

The vow renewal happened today.  It turned out much better than I anticipated it would.  We got up as usual and did our morning chores.  We both took showers around noon.  I sewed and and Steve carved.  We arrived at LaWanda's right on time.  The girl pulled up just as we got there.  We got lots of hugs and saw lots of really nice people we haven't seen in a long time.  At three we were seated by the usher. Steve and Chris.  Then Tommy did a wonderful job officiating at the ceremony.  Alex was there in the form of a Superman doll.  Then they served food .  The girls  left about a half an hour before we did.  We were home about 6:30.  We left before the serious drinking started.  LaWanda actually looked great in her dress.  It was good to see everyone.  Sandy and Leah and I had a nice visit.  We decided to go to the Kennedy Space  center on Monday.   Which is good because I am not planning on being in Florida any time soon.  I took care of the dogs feeding and walking.  Then some sewing and finally TV and games.  All in all a good day.  They loved Steve's carving.
Steve decided that a diet was in order when his new belt size  46 to 48 was extremely tight.  So I won't  be buying any more treats.   Just regular food.
