July 25, 2019 Blue Mesa Recreational Ranch, Gunnison CO

It it a sad day.  Found a mysterious email from Glenda saying the news from Larry's was not good whatever that means.  Now we have to wait until we can find phone service to get more details.
We had a good day otherwise. Got up about normal time. Today was scale day.  I knew it was going to be bad but it wasn't as bad as it could have been.  209.4.  Apparently  Steve is cutting back so hopefully  we can lose some together.   Breakfast and morning chores.  Made block number 7 and got it posted.  Started quilting some potholders.  A neighbor came running over to talk to Steve.  He was a fellow Carver and scrimshaw artist.
We ate lunch then jumped in the car for a ride over Monarch Pass.  Elevation 11,312.  We checked out Salida.  We came back here about 4 PM.  We drove through several rain showers.   We finally were able to have our BBQ.   We did what l thought were chicken thighs.  It turned out that there were two thighs and two backs.  Got them in Iowa.   Definitely pig farmers there not chicken farmers.
Anyway after dishes were done then TV and games.  Unfortunately Gkends and Tom went to Safari west so that it putting a crimp in my words with friends goals.
